Great looks. Great performance. Great value!
Joseph from Morrisville, PA on 2/11/2025
I'm going to give these stands a solid 4.5. They would've gotten a 5 but for the following small issues. 1. The instructions are not written very clearly. Thankfully there is a video on YouTube by some guy that explains everything. 2. The feet were fiddly as heck to get on. Apparently that's another thing. They have small numbers on them that you can barely see. You must put the feet labeled 1 diagonally across from one another. Same for the ones labeled 2. Otherwise the stands will rock. 3. Thirdly these stands are a true PITA to fill with sand. Essentially the only way to do it once assembled is through 4 tiny screw holes located at the top of the pillars. Do this outside as you will make a mess. Aside from these issues the stands are excellent. They look great and perform great and for the price they are an excellent value.
Pros: Excellent looks, performance, and value.
Cons: Unclear instructions. Fiddly feet. Hard to fill.

Quality is very nice but there were a couple of issues that kept me from giving a five star rating. 1). The threads on one of the spikes was damaged and would not thread into the foot. I tried cleaning the thread, thinking maybe some paint or some kind of debris was the problem. Nope. 2). The directions clearly state that there is a difference in the feet that go on the bottom plate and are marked either with a one or a two. Mine were not marked and I couldn't get it figured out how to get them to sit flat so that the spikes would not be angled. Per the manufacturer, Crutchfield had no choice, but to send me a complete replacement, which they did instead of simply sending me the parts I needed in a very small package. Seems like a terrible waste and expense for such a simple problem. The reason I don't see their logical is that when they get the replacement stand back they're still going to be stuck with a product that has a bad spike and feet that are not numbered. Go figure. When all is said and done I'm very happy with the product and the service provided by Crutchfield. They really do have the customers best best interest at heart. It's just a bit of a hassle to lug that heavy box back to UPS.

Great speaker stands! Solid and heavy duty.
Paul from Durham, NC on 1/31/2023
I am revamping my audio and started with a pair of Klipsch RP-600M II with a subwoofer. I spent hours reviewing speaker stands and liked that these were metal and heavy duty. When I received them, I was impressed with the build quality and the weight. They went together relatively easily and everything was solid and level. These work great with the speakers I am using and I'm very happy with this purchase and can strongly recommend them.

I was looking give 3.5 stars, but I thought you get what you paid for. Right? I did manage to put these stands together and for the price they are good. Of course, true audiophiles would be buying stands in a different price bracket. The machining is about as accurate as your local weather forecast. Whomever was responsible for the instructions, I am guessing likes to talk a lot. Unnecessary verbiage and poor assembly illustrations. These stands are carrying my Focal Aria 906 and I appreciate the rubber isolation mounts at each corner of the speaker stand table. So the price has gone up here since I bought them. They are worth what I paid. At full price, I would still consider this stand, however I would also consider others as well.
Pros: Good value.
Cons: Inaccurate machining. Assembly manual not great.

I would give these stands 5 stars if they allowed you to truly hide the speaker wire vs a simple wire guide. I had to finagle the wires so they were well hidden. Otherwise these are well built, easy to assemble and look great.
Pros: Stands look great and speakers sound great
Cons: No direct way to conceal speaker wires

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR SANITY!!
Kathleen from Dawsonville, GA on 7/17/2022
To say that these stands are WAY overpriced, difficult to assemble and just plain butt ugly would be a complete masterpiece of understatement. One of the big reasons why this is such a difficult assembly is due to the instructions. I use,"instructions" loosely! I have read some pretty lousy instructions when a company uses Google Translate to provide you the, "how to assemble", spiel. The instructions for the stands are 10x worse than the foreign ones!! Example: On the bottom of pg.3 it states, "PLEASE READ THE NOTE ON PAGE 5 OF THIS MANUAL!". Page 5 is as follows- and I am giving a DIRECT quote: "Importante: En este producto se utilizan dos patas diferentes para cada base."...and so on. Pictures provided are not helpful in the least because they they provide little detail and really don't jive with the step you are working on. My best advice is that IF you are dead set on purchasing these, save yourself a headache and lost time and just throw away the instructions. I asked if these handled the wires and was told yes. The do not. you would do better to use black electric tape and simply tape your speaker wires to the post. Once done with the assembly, the final product is certainly not all that. The design esthetics leave much to be desired. The stands have about the same visual appeal as a worn out speed bump. To say that I am thrilled with my purchase would be on par with, "The check is in the mail". What an expensive, frustrating and infuriating
Pros: THESE SPEAKER STANDS HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOING FOR THEM.
Cons: Ridiculous instructions, no wire management, ugly design and WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!

The stand arrived in a box that was about three seconds away from disintegrating. Nice! As stated in previously, the instructions are horrible. I speak English fairly well but couldn't comprehend most of the sentences in the manual. The stands are okay for the money. I wound never pay the asking price for these stands. Never. I'd send these back, but the box kicked the bucket. Also, I'm not about to find a suitable box for the return: I've wasted enough time with these stands already.

Nice well made heavy duty speaker stands. The instructions leave a little to the imagination but everything went together well after I interpreted them. The "wire handling" is wishful thinking but easy to ignore and ad lib your own. They will work great for my Klipsch R-51Ms. Thanks to MJ at Crutchfield for the excellent recommendation!
Pros: Heavy and well made.

Solid stands
Glen from CASTLE ROCK, CO on 3/21/2022
Good solid stands that hold Wharfedale EVO 4.2s (29.5 pounds apiece) just fine. If you want to pour shot or sand into the pillars you'll need to drill a larger hole into one end of the pillar as there are only three tiny holes on each end (I'd say 1/8" or less in diameter). The cable management is a joke - just little plastic pieces that are around 1/16" thick that you would install around the pillar then run the cable through. One star off for the temerity to call that "cable management". But if that's not a deal killer for you I'd recommend them. I just ran my cable up the back of the rear pillar and secured with black wire ties.

Great build and easy assembly. Paired them with a set of Wharfdale Evo 4.2 which are a slightly taller "bookshelf" and everything lined up great. Word of caution, the isolation spikes are very sharp and if paired with a heavier speaker you may notice it will puncture carpeting or slowly dig in hardwood over time and some floor protection may be needed.
Pros: Shorter - wide base - easy assembly - good finish - options for isolation
Cons: Shorter

Horrible assembly instructions
Crutchfield customer from Rockville, MD on 7/8/2021
Seems to be very sturdy (if I ever get it all assembled). BUT the worst assembly instructions I've ever seen for any product of any kind: an essential step buried next to the parts list instead of in its proper place among the assembly steps; orientation of top plates and entire stand totally unclear, with no printed instructions or parts marking to assist in that and with ambiguous picture of assembled product; in partiuclar, ambiguous as to where the "1" vs. "2" bottom plate legs go; attaching posts to base VERY tricky, really requiring 2 or even 3 people (one to insert and turn bolt, second to hold post perpendicular to plate, third to hold flashlight to be able to see aligning bolt on one side of plate with post on other side.
Pros: Seems sturdry
Cons: Horrible, incomplete, confusing, ambiguous, unhelpful assembly instructions.

Amazing Difference!
Crutchfield customer from Bozeman, MT on 3/22/2021
Good, solid, attractive speaker stands that will last a lifetime. Assembly was a little challenging (more below). Previously had my Klipsch RB-25's on an angled floor stand and was completely blown away by the difference in audio quality just by elevating these speakers to ear level! It made my whole audio system come alive and allowed the Klipsch to open up and breathe. Now enjoying the sound my system was always capable of!
Pros: Solid, heavy duty, attractive stands and a great value.
Cons: Assembly made more difficult by the faulty instructions for attaching the feet. The instructions have the numbered feet backwards in how they are attached to the base. Other than that, pretty straightforward and easy to assemble.

This is the third set of speaker stands that I have purchased and they are by far superior to any other that I have or have seen. I found the instructions to be clear and precise and the quality of the parts are excellent with one exception. The wire guides included with these stands are ridiculous. They lasted about three minutes and ripped apart due to the slight tension that the wires place on them. They are totally worthless and I would suggest that you just discard this item. I did not let this one factor change my opinion of the overall quality and satisfaction of these speaker stands and still give them five stars.

Good Stands, Reasonable Price
Crutchfield customer from Butte, MT on 12/1/2020
These are great speaker stands at a reasonable price. They are heavy and make a sturdy base for your small speakers. I had my speakers sitting on the floor and these stands improve the sound by getting them up near ear height. You might be disappointed by their lack of any way to hide the speaker wire but that was not a big deal for me. I read some reviews that said that assembly was difficult but after a little study it was very straightforward. Pay attention to how the feet attach to the base. Each foot goes in a specific location; the instructions are very clear on that.

Great Speaker Stands!
Crutchfield customer from Lexington Park, MD on 4/28/2020
I needed strong and sturdy speaker stands to support my Polk LSi M703s (32# each). These met my requirements to be able to support the Polks' and have a stable footprint to avoid toppling over (grand kids around on the weekends). These Sanus SF22s met my expectations. These are very stable and don't wobble. As noted by other reviewers, the assembly was fairly straight forward except for the feet. That took some trial and error. Once I figured it out on one stand the second was easy. The wire routing loops are pretty worthless. I used black zip ties to secure them to the posts. I have three other pairs of Sanus speaker stands of varying heights so buying another pair of Sanus was easy! These are certainly worth the money - reasonably priced and 2 day delivery to Maryland sealed the deal.

The metal stands were very sturdy after they were assembled. Be aware the plastic feet on the metal floor base pieces are tricky to assemble. They are oriented to fit the curvature of the base pieces in a very specific way. Other than that, an easy job. Very satisfied with the stands. Lots of extra optional hardware is supplied for the purists who want the ultimate isolation of their speakers from any mounting surface. I'm talking carpet spikes, speaker spikes, rubber feet, etc. are available. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the written instructions were unclear on the plastic feet. For example, take "left front and right rear". You would think this means looking at the base from the top....nope. The plastic feet only fits this way if you are looking at the base from the BOTTOM!

Would have given the stands a 5 Star were it not for the poorly written assembly instructions......so typical of products whose instructions are written OUS. The stands, however, are solid and good looking once assembled. They're currently holding a pair of 26 pound Snell Reference Monitors whose bottom dimensions are 9" x 13". They haven't moved one iota since they were put there. They are at perfect ear height when I'm in a sitting position. In case anyone is wondering, you can put sand in the stand shafts if you feel you need to but it doesn't appear to be necessary in my case. Thanks Crutchfield for the recommendation.

Nice pair of stands with a reasonable amount of weight to them which is good as although they say that they're fill able with sand, it just isn't practical as the fill holes are barely 3/16" hence the 4 stars. Perfect Milk Crate Replacement
Rob from Spotswood, NJ on 4/10/2006
After a few months of looking at my speakers up on milk crates from the 1970's I decided to seek out a better solution. At first I couldn't find any speaker stands of the ideal height because most were 24" and that'd mean they'd not fit under the "eaves" of my big screen TV that extends past the entertainment center it sits on. I considered building a pair of nice maple ones to match my home built furniture but somehow never got around to it then I saw these here at Crutch. The height was perfect and Crutchfield had DETAILED specifications that outlined the height with and without the hardware, hats off to them for that because in this instance it was very important to know the exact height when it was such a tight space. Getting on to the product, the first thing I noticed was the nice textured black finish, it looks quite durable. The product is well made, much heavier than I'd anticipated. About the only complaint I had was the instructions are not very clear and some of the diagrams didn't even match the exact model I had. Real men don't read instructions though, right? Aside from that, assembly went fairly well, you can pretty much figure it out easily as the posts are the same on each end. The only stressful part of the assembly was inserting the rubber bumpers that the speakers sit atop. They have to be pushed through threaded holes in the top plate but you cannot simply press them in, you have to twist them into the screw threads and it seems as if it'd be easy to shear them off. They didn't however and when I got them partway in I grabbed them with pliers and pulled the rest through.
