Solid Mounts but a Few Flaws
Christopher from Greer, SC on 4/14/2025
Overall, these mounts are a solid choice for anyone who needs to mount their Sonos Era 300 tilted and at an angle from the wall. One of the issues I had was with installing into a stud. The directions said to use a 1/8" bit to drill pilot holes for the wood screws. Once I got the first screw about half way in, the screwdriver started slipping. I then used a 9/64" but to enlarge the pilot holes and got to within half an inch before the screw started stripping out again. I decided to use #10 2-1/2" stainless deck screws instead and they went in easily. On the other speaker install, a 9/64" pilot holes might not have been necessary. Maybe I hit a knot. Regardless, the supplied wood screws were pretty soft metal not sharp enough to go in without stripping. The other issue I had is there's no way to lock the tilt or angle, which for speakers Sonos recommends mounting at ear level seems like a bad oversight on the Sanus's part. They stay put unless you bump them, then they swing easily.
Pros: Solid construction Perfect for Era 300 Wide range on tilt and angle
Cons: Cheap wood screws that strip easily No way to lock in position

Sanus ERA 300 Wall Mount

It's very sturdy mount it started with 25 LBS anchors but found the top started to pull out so I use the 75 LBS anchors no problems. I like better then Sonos wall mount because its adjustable.
