Great Upgrade from DSLR
Ray from Lenoir City, TN on 8/26/2023
Finally decided to upgrade from aD7200, and it's a definite improvement in features and handling with great image quality. Coming from a long line of Nikons, this just "feels right" and has a short learning curve to get the most out of the extra features. Many more focusing and image handling capabilities, and the EVF is great in all situations -- from full sunlight to very low light. Loads of customization features so you can set it up just as you prefer.
Pros: great low-light focusing and image capture 24 megapixels are more than enough for excellent images while keeping file sizes down full-frame performance in a smaller size than DSLRs very sturdy build quality
Cons: lower battery life than DSLRs; just get a spare or two

Nikon Z 6II (no lens included)
Chelsea from Manakin Sabot, VA on 7/31/2023
I'm just getting back into photography, and this camera is making it easy to re-learn the ropes. I previously had a Sony a6300; it was much smaller and more compact. If you are looking for a small, lightweight camera, you may want to look elsewhere. I was surprised by the Z 6ii's heft, but it also feels very high-quality and well-made, not plasticky. It took me a minute to learn the menus - this is my first Nikon, having previously used the Sony alpha compact mirrorless and Canon entry-level DSLRs years ago - but there are really user-friendly features to help you understand everything, including a question mark button you can select for an explanation of what every menu option means or does. I don't feel that I will need to upgrade any time soon and can't wait to grow as a photographer with this great camera. Crutchfield was awesome and super quick - they had hands-down the best price (comparable to the Nikon refurb sale), and the camera shipped the day I ordered, free one-day shipping, and I received it the following day. Perfect.

Long on value, easy to operate
David from Hillsdale, MI on 10/19/2022
Product delivered on time and as-advertised, bravo Crutchfield! Nikon Z6ii is an industry-standard mirrorless digital camera that retains the brand's notoriety for excellence and ease of use. Loaded with technical features to satisfy the nerdiest of photo buffs, it comes with an outstanding "Auto" selection that makes it all-but a point-and-shoot reminiscent of old instamatics, just with 21st Century options and images. Not the bleeding-edge tech of the Z9, this Z6ii nonetheless captures great pics at a pretty awesome price point. That, with the FTZ II Adapter, it takes all of my bride's favorite F lenses from her old SLR!
Pros: Awesome Auto Mode Price point Legacy lens adaptability Incredible focus range Quick and clear burst images
Cons: 24Mp vs modern frames normally 48Mp Needs accessory adapter for legacy lenses Learning curve for novice users in Manual

Nikon Z 6II (no lens included)

I previously owned the Z6, and after selling it due to lack of use, I missed the lightweight nature of mirrorless. I really enjoy this camera, but the difference between this and its predecessor feels marginal to me. I shoot stills, so I have not really explored the advances in autofocus since the Z6. I purchased this over another Z6 because this was in stock. The dynamic range on this camera is great, and controls and their placement feel similar to a Nikon DSLR. The menus take some getting used to, namely when switching between focus modes. I do like the standard pet eye autofocus, which only came with a software upgrade on the Z6.
