Overkill for a first camera? Maybe.

This is my very first camera that wasn't a point-n-shoot or an in-phone camera, and after 3 days of ownership of this camera, it's absolutely insane how large the difference is between the two. The quality is top-notch, even when shooting .jpeg. I still have yet to venture into shooting RAW for now, but it's definitely in the books once I get the hang of this camera a bit more. Also, hats off to Crutchfield support for reaching out by phone before they sent out my order! I love to see that kind of service from businesses.

Just right!
David from New Orleans, LA on 5/19/2022
I am not a professional photographer but this camera is WOW! I do have experience with camera and use to take hundreds of photos with something called film, lol. This mirrorless camera is easy to use and easy to understand how to use it. Photos come out stunning. The lens is good all around. Together the weight is easy to handle and doesn't become cumbersome.
Pros: Easy to use Easy to understand for newbie Plenty of options Just right to get back into photography
Cons: Umm none that I have found so far.

This is a great camera. I moved up from the D3400 which was a good entry level camera. But this Z Camera will allow me to explore advanced techniques. The staff at Crutchfield was very helpful.
