About the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT

The warmth of vinyl with wireless convenience

With the Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT, you can enjoy gorgeous vinyl sound without any speaker wires. Just push the turntable's Function button to connect the turntable to your chosen wireless device: your own Bluetooth speakers and Bluetooth headphones can be paired with the turntable and stored in its memory.

Or make a wired connection to your stereo system or powered speakers. A built-in phono preamp gives you the flexibility to connect to most kinds of home audio systems.

Handy control options

You can push the Start button to begin playing a record, and then hit the Stop button to lift and return the tonearm and shut off the turntable. A Tonearm Lift button is also included to let you raise and lower the arm without stopping the platter.

And as someone who has listened to the stylus bumping around in the final groove of a record for several minutes while finishing a tricky task, I'm personally fond of the auto stop feature: it lifts and returns the tonearm automatically when a record has played all the way through. What a relief!

Features

Built-in Bluetooth Transmitter: The AT-LP60XBT gives you all the great features of Audio-Technica's popular AT-LP60 fully automatic belt-drive stereo turntable, but with the added convenience of Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity. Thanks to built-in Bluetooth, you can stream your vinyl record audio wirelessly to your Bluetooth-enabled speakers, headphones, and other playback devices.

  • Bluetooth Codecs: In addition to support for Bluetooth's standard SBC codec, the AT-LP60XBT supports aptX which offers higher "CD-level" quality (16-bit/44.1kHz) sound when wirelessly connected to an aptX compatible Bluetooth-enabled speaker, headphone, or other playback device.
  • Simple Secure Pairing: Up to eight different pairs of speakers, headphones or other devices that utilize Bluetooth wireless technology can be stored in the AT-LP60XBT's memory. Once stored, a simple push of the turntable's Function button is all that is required to connect the turntable to your chosen wireless device.
  • Wireless Range: The AT-LP60XBT has a Bluetooth wireless range of approximately 33' (10 meters).

Switchable Built-in Preamplifier: In addition to Bluetooth wireless connectivity, the AT-LP60XBT provides a stereo minijack output and comes with a 39" stereo minijack-to-RCA cable for a wired connection to your home receiver, integrated amplifier, or powered speakers. The built-in switchable stereo phono/line-level preamplifier permits use of the AT-LP60XBT turntable with stereo systems having either magnetic-phono inputs or line-level (Aux) inputs; also allows convenient use of the turntable with most powered speakers.

2-Speed Fully Automatic (33-1/3 & 45RPM): The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable offers fully automatic operation for playback of 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records (45 RPM adapter included). By gently pushing the Start button the turntable will start while the tonearm automatically moves to lead-in groove. When the record has finished playing, the tone arm automatically will return to the tone arm rest and the turntable will shut off. You can also press the Stop button to stop playback before the record reaches the end and the tone arm will lift and return to the tone arm rest and the turntable will shut off.

Dual Magnet Phono Cartridge: The AT-LP60XBT turntable is supplied with an integral Audio-Technica Dual Magnet phono cartridge with replaceable  diamond stylus. The cartridge is integrated into the tone arm for assured performance and ease of setup. The redesigned tonearm base and headshell provide improved tracking and reduced resonance.

Die-Cast Aluminum Platter: The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT features an anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum turntable platter. The turntable also features a damped lift/cueing mechanism.

Hinged Dust Cover: The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable comes with a hinged dust cover that is also removable.

Two Available Colors: The Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable is available in black or white.

Q
Is this compatible with a sonos bluetooth speaker?
jennifer l.  Sep 23, 2023
1 answer
A
The Audio-Technica LP-60XBT does have Bluetooth as a feature, Jennifer. This would allow you to send the sound wirelessly to most Bluetooth capable speakers, though connection with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed. If you have a Bluetooth capable Sonos speaker like the Move 2 in the link below (some models do not have Bluetooth as a feature, only Wi-fi and the Sonos app) then you can connect! Bluetooth is a great way to listen with convenience with the Audio-Technica LP-60XBT, a fantastic call! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_616MOVE2BK/Sonos-Move-2-Black.html

Q
Low volume and distortion when connected to my Cambridge AXR85 ????
james  Nov 25, 2022
1 answer
A
If you're using the internal phono preamp on the turntable, make sure that you are not connecting that to the phono input on the Cambridge receiver which can cause distortion. Oppositely, if you want to use the Cambridge's internal phono preamp, make sure that you have the phono preamp on the turntable switched off. If neither of those fix the problem with the distortion and low volume, you may also want to try using a difference patch cable as well.

Q
How do you connect this turntable to a Sony STRDH190 receiver?
and  Sep 01, 2022
1 answer
A
This turntable would connect to the STR-DH190 using an RCA cable. An RCA cable is included with the turntable. Because the turntable has its own built-in phono preamp, it would be possible to connect to any of the Audio Inputs on the back of the unit. If you purchased the product from Crutchfield, feel free to contact our Tech Support team. Our toll-free Tech Support number is printed on your invoice, and is also available under the "My Orders" tab in the "My Account" section of our website. If you did not purchase the unit from Crutchfield, then you may want to contact the manufacturer.

Does the arm have a way to adjust its weight for vinyl that has seen better days? Don't want to do the old penny on the arm trick. Thanks.
greg  Jun 06, 2022

A
Greetings Greg. The tracking weight on the LP-60XBT is fixed. The Denon DP-300F is adjustable, but you lose Bluetooth. We have a lot of turntables to choose from, some with, some without the features of the LP-60XBT. Your more than welcome to call in and speak to one of our advisors about turntables at 800-324-9695.

Q
Can this turntable be used with Alexa Echo-Dot speakers ?
david  Apr 18, 2021
2 answers
A
Yes, any Bluetooth wireless speaker will work fine. Just remember, keep your Bluetooth speaker kinda close, at 30', it starts to lose connectivity. But, yes, any Bluetooth speaker will work. Also, some receivers made have Bluetooth built into them. So they will pickup your turntable,
matt  Nov 03, 2021
A
No. It doesn't have any smart control features. Though it has Bluetooth, that will only get it connected to a receiver or other playback device - such as a Bluetooth speaker - wirelessly.
john  Apr 19, 2021
Q
I have bare-wire connect speakers, no plugs. Can I use this turntable? If not, what unit would you suggest? Thank you
craig  Mar 09, 2021
4 answers
A
I have the wires connected to a receiver and that works great. If your speakers have amplification and volume control it would probably work fine, might require connection adapters.
matthew  Apr 12, 2021
A
Craig, You cannot use these but you should be able to find some post that can convert your bare wire speakers.
tony  Mar 09, 2021
A
No. This is a 'wireless' turntable and interfaces via a wireless (Bluetooth) signal to your bluetooth speakers. There is no way to connect speakers directly to the turntable via cables. It IS, however, able to be connected (via a cable) to a preamp or receiver that, of course, would have wired speakers attached.
richard  Mar 09, 2021
A
I bought this unit specifically to use with Bluetooth and a Bose Solo5 system.

This turntable does not have a ground wire or hookup for one. We offer other turntables some with the ground wire. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on one

You will need some sort of speaker system. This turntable does not have built-in speakers. However, there are turntables with built-in speakers if that's what you're looking for. I have mine connected to a receiver, which sends the sound to speakers. I recommend calling Crutchfield and talking to them about what kind of setup you need within your budget.
