Hands down, best value at price point.
Sean from Laurel, MD on 6/22/2025
The absolute best value turntable at this price point. The SAEC tone arm has quite a bit less resonance than on my old Fluance. The same exact cartridge and stylus I was using genuinely sounds better on this table's arm. Truly phenomenal arm for a table at this price point. The motor is also solid. The supplied AT cartridge and stylus is only decent though, but it's got great, inexpensive upgrade paths and both the shibata and microlinear styli for the cartridge can bring a much bigger, more derailed sound out of it so it's a nice one to have. You'll also want to swap the felt platter mat for a better material of your choice. Those are inexpensive, and you can get much better bass response out of even just an inexpensive cork mat versus the felt one. As for looks, the cherry plinth is absolutely stunning. I wish it didn't smudge so easily, but goodness is it ever pretty! It's really one of the prettiest turntables out there.
Pros: Cherry plinth, fantastic SAEC tone arm, overall built quality and performance.
Cons: Supplied platter mat, supplied AT cartridge is only decent.

TEAC TN-3B-SE
Frank from Knoxville, TN on 6/4/2025
My old Audio-Technica turntable direct drive stopped working. It also had many DJ funtions that I did not use. Decided to try a belt drive this time around. The Belt drive is much quieter. I also like the simple design, no extra functions that I don't need. MM cartridge is also an upgrade over what I had. Sound is noticeably cleaner. The owners manual also walked me through the setup for tonearm weight settings and anti skate.

Great turntable
Marc from Austin, TX on 1/20/2025
I'm just getting back into vinyl after 30 years, so I'm starting all over with this turntable. All I can say is WOW! Super easy to set up but take your time balancing the tone arm. You will be rewarded for your patience. Amazing sound and clarity even from old recordings. If you're starting off with vinyl and can afford this one, just get it!
Pros: Easy set up Elliptical stylus Looks cool!
Cons: None yet!

TEAC TN-3B-SE
Jp from Watervliet, NY on 1/16/2025
Had initially planned on a different 'table, but when I saw the sale on this TEAC TN-3B-SE i decided otherwise. For my purpose of getting back into vinyl, the option to use the internal phono preamp, included tonearm and cartridge it made things easier to get started. Setup was easy (with a little help, thank you Crutchfield), and the sound is quite good. The output of the included phono preamp is a little low, especially considering the MM cartridge, but that is not a big deal -- unless I want to install a MC. Basically, this a great starter table and allows for upgrades of cartridge and phono preamp with ease. Tonearm may be a little harder, but with a better MM cartridge and phono preamp the quality of the basic table would show even better. When talking about investing more than the price of the table in a phono preamp and almost as much on a cartridge to things are clear: The table is SOLID and the tonearm is not the weak link. Very happy and highly recommended.
Pros: Good initial sound, easy change of cartridge, setting to allow for external phono preamp.
Cons: Tonearm not easily replaced, and when shipped cartridge had to be installed and uninstalled to produce sound.

Poor QC
Konstantin from Fuquay-Varina, NC on 12/4/2024
Poor built quality. Tonearm has some marks on it, couldn't wipe them off. Plinth front facia edge sanded down on the left. Finally there's something that looks like mold on motor rubber part... I returned it.
Pros: Looks great from the distance
Cons: Built quality/QC

Stunning appearance, straight forward setup, smooth silent operating mechanism. The supplied AT VM95E cartridge is true tracking and affords a pleasant and quality listening experience for any but perhaps the most demanding or status conscious audiophile. Thoroughly enjoyable and with performance worthy of the purchase price.
Pros: Multiple options for easily upgrading the AT-VMN95 cartridge stylus across a range of price points.
Cons: No information is provided about the drive belt longevity or future availability in years to come.

Excellent Upgrade, Great Mid-Level Phono
Tony from Atlanta, GA on 7/4/2022
Very good turntable. Upgraded from the Audio-Technica 120 USB turntable. Wanted to keep my AT VM540 cart, was able to swap out my AT headshell and cart one-for-one from my AT 120 USB. The sound is much better using the AT microline cart, clear sound, less resonance then my AT 120 turntable, also matches my ML 40 speakers (cherry).
Pros: Less resonance Beautiful cherry finish Easy to install out of the box
Cons: None yet, great buy for the money
