Q
Will this fix a 1969 Chevelle?
wlpsr  May 30, 2023
1 answer
A
This RetroSound 404-292 Restore plate is a universal item that is used to mount a RetroSound radio into an existing DIN sized 2" x7" slot, Bill. This 404-292 kit would be extremely useful if the radio location on your 1969 Chevelle has been modified to fit a single DIN radio like the Alpine UTE-73BT in the first link below for visual size reference. If your radio location on your classic is original and un-modified, the second link with the RetroSound M2A radio, 117-120 bezel, and 08-77 knob kit would closely match the original radio look and is also available in black if you prefer it instead of chrome! If your dash has been widened to fit the newer style radios make sure to pick up the 404-292 dash kit in addition to your radio package. We are always here to help, please reach out anytime. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500UTE73BT/Alpine-UTE-73BT.html https://www.crutchfield.com/I-rXYEc222/cart/EmailCart.aspx?emKey=3148503

Q
Will this fit a 1979 camaro?
vic  Apr 11, 2023

A
Greetings Vic, and thank you for your question. This face plate is a universal trim plate. It would not be specific for any vehicle. If your factory radio opening has been cut to fit a newer style stereo, this will help trim it out, but you would also need a din mount from Retro Sound as well. If your radio opening is still in tact, and you are installing a Retrosound stereo, these trim parts is more specific to your model year Camaro. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_068116117/RetroSound-116-117-Bezel-Chrome.html www.crutchfield.com/p_068216217/item.html
