The QC from Retro Sound is questionable.

This is the second unit that I have purchased. It's been over a week and still not able to install it due to all the parts we're not in the box straight from the manufacturer.
Pros: Great replacement for large GM radios.
Cons: Customer service and quality control from Retro Sound isn't what it was in years past.

I am very pleased with my decision to purchase the Retro Sound Newport for my 1986 Chevy S10. The radio fits perfectly and looks factory installed. The sound is awesome and the installation was a breeze. It's a bit pricey nevertheless I highly recommend the sound system if you was today's technology and yesterday's appeal.
Pros: Fit, stylish and sound.
Cons: None at this time.

Tough to review this one. I want to give it less stars since it was a nightmare to install. Instructions aren't specific to the radio so you have to sort of figure it out. Wiring looks good and the diagram helps if you have your original wiring diagram for your vehicle. Lastly, this does NOT fit in a 1.5 din radio spot. It's close and tight. It supposedly fits for my truck but the knobs hit the top of the bezel causing it to bend. I had to cut out 0.5" from the top of the bezel to rotate the knob without resistance. Not to mention the kit doesn't fit. I had to do a lot of modifications to make it fit, including drill new holes in the dash, modify the brackets, add some brackets, modify the bezel to accept the bigger radio, and remove alignment pegs to get the radio straight. The factory radio was there and it was straight. Also, the kit is horrible. Nothing to attach it with so I had to epoxy the brackets to the radio sides. You'd think they would have made screws or something to make it hold. Instead they put alignment pegs with no way to hold it to the radio! It was impossible to hold to pegs and get it in place. None of the brackets matched the holes so I quick install wasn't this. It took me about 2 hours just to get it in and straight.

It really is a flush fit, sounds good and looks good. Only thing I had to do was trim my original faceplate to lay flush against the radio. 1991 camaro.
Pros: Good flush fit Good instructions Comes with everything you need Looks and sounds good
Cons: Little pricy
