RetroSound PA-02 Power Antenna
Michael from WILLIAMSPORT, PA on 9/21/2022
I purchased this unit in January 2022 for a restoration project - and made the mistake of not opening the box until September. While gently moving the antenna around to find an appropriate mounting location, one of the three wires just broke off of the connector. At that point becoming concerned, I gently pulled on the other 2 wires; one was secure and the other immediately broke off as well. I left RetroSound 2 phone messages - waiting on a response. I have read other good reviews but I am certainly disappointed and not impressed.

This antenna was a perfect fit for my GMC. Access to the antenna area is very difficult and this unit mounts lying down (not vertical) and works greatl.

I haven't installed this yet but it seems extremely well built. Crutchfield had the best price by far for this antenna...

Great unit. I put this in a pontoon boat. It did require modification to the antenna mount (this is designed for automotive applications - a metal fender is a lot thinner than fiberglass). That being said it works very well, relatively quiet operation and smooth extension/retraction. You should install the unit before powering it up ( an extra pair of hands really help with the installation). If not, and you try to extend the antenna, it will extend past the mounting base and spit the cogged drive strip out of the unit. If that happens you will more than likely have to disassemble the unit to re-thread the drive strip back into the motor drive.
Pros: Great power antenna. Flexible mounting options. Nice smooth operation.
Cons: Installation can be a little tricky. An extra set of hands really helps.

Easy install
Mike from North Collins, NY on 7/31/2014
Installed this in my 1991 Camaro. A standard power antenna won't fit. Very happy with it, works and looks good.
Pros: Easy install. All nessary hardware is included.
Cons: A little long for my application but fit into the wheel well ok.
