Amazing sound quality. I used Cerwin Vega speakers with it and it is awesome. Look is spot on as factory and lost 5lbs in the process. The knobs and extra chrome made it have that pop. Extremely easy to install.

Exactly what I was looking for..am restoring a 79 Camaro and didn't want to cut the dash up to replace the "classic 70's AM/FM cassette" that came with the car. Easy installation if you have a bit of experience doing this. Thought maybe I would want an amp but after installing this unit it has all the sound that I need.

New Tunes and more features in my summer ride
Frank from Traverse City, MI on 12/9/2024
1974 Triumph TR6
I just installed this unit in my 74 TR6 . Not many options out there for this car if you don't want to hack up the dash. The M1B is a reasonable cost unit for the features included. Assembly was required and I had to trim the wing brackets to fit. I like the integral Blue Tooth feature. Other brands have external additional cost modules required. Its a bit more complicated then the old analog unit removed but sound quality and power is an order of magnitude better.
Pros: The adjustable shafts and custom face plates fit a variety of installations. Initial impression of the unit is good.
Cons: Accessing all the features and settings require actuating different knobs and getting to menus etc. A bit much for my old brain. Just like setting a digital watch I guess. Im sure I'll figure it out. The manual (online) is very clear on the set up. I printed the 24 pages and will keep it close by.

Overall, this does the job. Install was tedious but is very adjustable for fit. Faceplate was a little tight. I had to file my cover for the faceplate to fit through. Menu times out too fast. Keep having to re enter the fade and balance menu. Seemed loud enough with my 4 inch speakers. Blue tooth connects easy and works good. For the lower cost range I'd say it's OK and I'm satisfied.

I ordered a RetroSound RetroRadio M1B with bezel and knobs for my 1966 El Camino. The order was drop shipped from RetroSound and came in a few days. I previously bought this radio for an 81 Corvette project and was happy with the features for the price. The unit is compact, full featured and a good value.
Pros: The unit provides modern features for a great price. To be able to stream music from my phone and take calls through the radio/mic are nice at this price point.
Cons: I had to modify the left controller mounting plate to clear the instrument cluster. It was an easy fix. Not a problem.

This was a cost effective way to upgrade my OEM AM radio with a AM/FM stereo. I had to cut down the provided bezel. However, a retrofit typically requires minor modifications.
Pros: Cost effective radio upgrade
Cons: Installation hardware could be better.

Very nice radio. Fit in the dash of my 67 Camaro with no modifications. It's a must to download the installation pdf file I found on the Retro website. Lots of options for preset stations and adjustments.
Pros: Clear cut pretty straight forward installation following the assembly video.
Cons: Knobs rotate extremely easy. This may not be con to some. I just personally like more resistance.

Great Factory Look for 1983 CJ7!
James from SANGER, TX on 11/21/2023
1983 Jeep CJ7
Looks great and fits perfectly in my 1983 Jeep CJ7's factory dash. If you have a CJ and are looking for a modern replacement, this is a perfect look. Be prepared to get creative with the mounting brackets however, as they are slightly too wide to fit between the speedometer and the factory size 5-1/2" speakers (I installed the Kicker 46CSC54 series, and they fit in the factory mount perfectly). Aside from the brackets, the instructions and installation is very straightforward and easy to understand even for a beginner. I ran out of wiring to connect to the fuse box under the driver's side of the dash, so I recommend having extra on hand or using the leftover wiring from your last radio. Bonus points if you have ATO fuse taps on hand to make it a clean connection. I paired it with the Quadraphonic Quad4 amp to give it a bit of a sound boost, and the connection route for this was also extremely simple to do.
Pros: Great factory look, easy to install.
Cons: Brackets are too wide, wiring provided may be too short.
