Pros: Fit Perfectly. Supplied hardware was sufficient to complete installation which took all of ten minutes. Sound good for what we're trying to do. Chrome flame basket makes the backside look pretty cool
Cons: Price! I know it's the only game in town, but dang. That cha-ching can net you up to four comparable performing speakers any day of the week.

Awesome little speaker. At first I didn't think it would fit my 56 vw beetle but with the adapter it worked perfectly. Side note, the 4 dash screw need to have a smaller /non washer heads.
Pros:
Cons: 4 mounting screws were too wide

Excellent speaker
Crutchfield customer from San Antonio, TX on 2/2/2021
This one speaker was installed in my 72' VW Super beetle just left of the steering wheel /steering column. It was a bit of a Challenge to get it installed but was doable. For one speaker it sounds good to me just what I expected & wanted goes great with my new retro radio that I also purchased. ????
Pros: Fits nicely, sounds good
Cons: Had to move some of the behind the dash stuff to get it to fit properly.

Great Speaker
Superdan from New York,NY on 3/17/2016
This a great sounding speaker. I installed a 4 speaker radio in my bug but I could only get the rear 2 deck speakers to work. This speaker gives me 2 extra speakers worth of sound in the front of my bug. This does fit into a 1972 Super Beetle. However, I don't believe it will fit into 1973 an later Supers.
Pros: Great Sound. Supplied with lots of mounting screws. Very easy to work with. I installed the bracket first and then installed the speaker to the bracket. I used masking tape to hold the screw mount in place on the speaker mount. You'll understand what I mean when you go to mount the speaker.
Cons: None for the speaker. It's just a little tricky to install. You need to remove some relays from the wiring harness (remember to mark each relay, it's location and proper orientation in order to give you some room to maneuver and install the speaker & mount. Other than that, it was a snap to install. I did it in about and hour and 1/2, once I figured out about moving the relays and such. I'm sure this will be the same for the other speaker that is offered as well.
