Q
What temperature is required to melt the solder?
bryan  Sep 20, 2021
1 answer
A
I'm not sure of the temperature that is required, but I used a standard plumbing torch. Make sure never to leave it in one spot ever but move it around the site until the solder is melted ant the shrink wrap has shrunk. Also some of them the solder won't work and you may have to do it over, I had 3 out of 25 not melt at all even after the plastic melted. Best of luck and hope this helps

Q
Can you connect solid to stranded wire?
chucks  Jul 13, 2021

A
It would be best to connect only similar wires so stranded to stranded, and solid to solid

I am not sure, however I'd assume you could as long as the wire is the correct size, I have not used mine yet, when I made up my harness I soldered all the connection and then used heat shrink.
