Q
Is it really a 4.3 or a 3.5?
james  Dec 28, 2020

A
The actual screen is 4.3 diagonally.

I bought this monitor about a year ago, and i wouldn't recommend it. It shows that it's a color screen, but it's more of a black, white, and brownish red display. There is some color to it, but it's worst than your great grandmother's 1950's color TV. My screen also flickers on and off sometimes. I definitely wouldn't buy this monitor again!

Q
Does this work with all backup cameras ( i.e. furrion)?
lynn  Mar 29, 2020
1 answer
A
This monitor should work with any backup camera with RCA type outputs.

Q
Can this be connected to a video out as a secondary screen on a dvd head unit?
thomas  May 05, 2019
1 answer
A
I would say yes, unit has video in as well as R&L audio in.

Q
Can this be used for a front camera instead of rear?

A
Yes you can
tarnorutskiy  Dec 11, 2017
A
I can't see why not.
robert  Dec 10, 2017
A
Yes you can. You would just have to wire in a switch instead.
douglas  Dec 09, 2017
A
Yes
keith  Dec 09, 2017

I cannot answer that question yet. I purchased it for only a backup camera, not a dash cam setup. I am still researching a dual camera dash cam for front and rear recording, which may require a second one of these. Sorry this won't help you. Since the backup cam is used only when you back up, whereas a front and rear dual dash cam is constantly viewing and recording, I'm not sure if a system exists where you only need one monitor.

Q
Can this replace the infotainment screen on a 2016 ND Mazda Miata?
omar  Oct 15, 2017
1 answer
A
No. You can custom mount the monitor on the dash or console but it will not display the information provided on the original factory screen.

Q
how does this monitor get power? is it battery powered or is there a 12v input? it looks like the only cables are for the video and audiot source but there are no specs listed. Also, if the cables shown are for audio and video, is there a speaker built into the monitor?
scott  Jun 26, 2017

A
It is 12volt input the red and black wires. There is no audio that I could find.
robert w  Jun 28, 2017
A
I got the power from the ignition and there's no audio on it but it does work fine so that's where I got my power but I was using the curb system which comes with the camera and the curb sensor and the display that you bought
juan  Jun 27, 2017
Q

I did not keep this monitor. My intent was to mount it and use it for back seat viewing by the kids, but it was too small.
