Crutchfield lied again.
Sullivan from Warrenton, VA on 12/24/2024
Installed the unit and it will not work with the Sony I purchased. Crutchfield owes me a lot of money and time.
Pros: No pros
Cons: Couldn't use the camera because it will not work with the Sony I purchased.

SD Image - NOT an HD Camera
Bing from Newbury, NH on 2/20/2024
Pros: multiple install options Cons: SD not HD; poor instructions; price; low light performance Camera comes with license plate mounting, adhesive mounting and flush mounting. The provided 22mm drill bit was a nice touch. Installation instructions are nonexistent and the website from the "manual" simply directs you to a pdf of the same instructions manual. The biggest issue is that the camera is not as described. Manufacturer claims do not match item performance. Optix (Accele Electronics) sells the camera as having 720 lines of HD resolution, but image signal is SD and displays on my standard definition NTSC monitor. On my Kenwood DMX958XR, setting has to be set to NTSC/SD when set to HD the signal yields no image. I also have connected the Kenwood CMOS-740HD which produces a true HD image. At dusk/dawn (conditions well above .005 lux), absent an external light source, the image becomes grainy and barely usable. If this were sold as a $30 SD camera, this would get a 4-5 star review, but as an HD camera at this price, it falls disappointingly short of expectations.

Poor manufacturer customer service.
Kurt from EDGEWOOD, NM on 10/25/2023
Worked fine for 3 months then works intermittently. It's mounted on a black steel bumper and it's blurry on hot days after being parked in direct sun. I had to call them (accele) on the phone and email them twice to get a warranty swap claim started. First they told me to return it to Crutchfield even though it has a one year manufacturer warranty. They still havnt responded to my email asking if they can provide a prepaid shipping label. Crutchfield's customer service is always awesome though!
Pros:
Cons: Blurry when hot. Quit working properly after 3 months

Rear view camera
Crutchfield customer from Bartlett, TN on 10/29/2019
Wanted this for a long time. I
Pros: Finally I can see my rear end.
Cons: Don't like extra lane lines. Fortunately they can be selected off and existing set works great. Would like audio as curb approaches but not designed in car. Retro fitted to 2008 Corvette.
