Beryllium speakers make the difference

2018 Ford Edge
Recently swapped out Focal ES 165 KX2E component speakers in the front with the Focal Utopia 165W-XP component set. Without getting into the technical differences, which I am not qualified to speak on, I will jump directly to "How does it Sound?". The Beryllium tweeters are the nicest set of tweeters that I have ever owned. Crisp, clean, and very immersive. The adage "you get what you pay for" is very true for these speakers. As far as the 6 1/2" speakers, well the verdict is still out. The bass is powerful and deep, and the listening experience is wonderful.... but was the Focal ES 165 KX2E 6 1/2's that I swapped out. It was quite a step up in price, but the tweeters are that good, and overall, it was well worth the jump in price.
Pros: *Incredible beryllium tweeters *The two speakers work incredibly well together.
Cons: * The tweeter housing is oval and makes it a bit of a challenge to mount (other than the recommended surface mounting) * Yes, this setup is pricey

Super soundstage!!

2023 Chevrolet Traverse
I thought these speakers sound awesome. Great soundstage, clear highs, solid lows. I also have Focal home speakers which led me to purchase these car speakers. They can play loud! I have a Fosgate 600/4 for lows and Fosgate 400/4 for highs. I hit 110db without any distortion, I still had room. I'm shocked that someone gave these a one star. I have a DSP, maybe that's why??
Pros: They fit into my 2023 GMC Acadia just fine.

What a letdown

I dreamed of owning these speakers for a long time. I absolutely love music and wanted the best speakers I could find. Sadly I am very disappointed in their sound quality. If it wouldn't cost me a small fortune to have them pulled back out, I would in a minute. Definitely not worth the price. My Rockford T2652s sounded just as good if not better. Maybe I will have them pulled out anyway. Really disappointed.

I had really good speakers in my system and they sounded great with Alpine 5 channel 100w x4 plus amp ......Replaced with Utopia components and now the system sounds magical.

2019 Honda Passport
Had a set of these Focal 165W-XP Utopia 2-Ways installed in my 2019 Honda Passport (Touring) and they sound incredible! The Tweeters are so crisp, and the 2-ohm Woofers allow my amp to send 130w to each of them, so they sound awesome too! NOTE: States these will not fit my Passport A-Pillars, but as you can see, they fit just fine...!
Pros: Awesome sound, super high quality, hand made in France!
Cons: May be on the high side cost-wise, but aren't YOU worth it?

2006 Pontiac GTO
I only installed the woofer from this set, it is mind-blowing, and that is coming from the Focal 165 KRX2, which is itself wonderful.
Pros: beautiful rich deep clear wonderful audio.
