Fantastic stereo speakers, worth the price
Wyatt from WASHINGTON, NJ on 2/4/2023
Great speakers and the only downside are the terrible instructions and lack of 3mm (I think) hex to aim the midrange/tweeter. I am using these as L-R music only in a 13 x 24 living area, powered by an old Denon AVR-1706. Despite the very middling amplifier, these speakers have great separation, clarity, and more than adequate bass. I ran them through Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Amy Winehouse's Your Should Be Stronger Than Me, some Lyle Lovett, and Tupac's All Eyez on Me. Very tight and handled complex arrangements with clarity and precision. Good separation between treble and midrange. Clearly the bass can't handle subwoofer freqs, but plenty of punch and can shake the room, despite what other reviewers have said. This may be because I built enclosures in the wall cavity, faced with 1/2 plywood, then 1/2 sheetrock and lined with 1" styrofoam insulation to provide a 1.1 cf airtight backbox. I would make it bigger next time because I think the twin 6.5s can handle more volume. Without a backbox, the bass might be flatter. These would get 5 stars except for the documentation, which was like deciphering hieroglyphics and lack of accessory tool to aim the tweeter/midrange. There are also discrepancies in the specs between what Crutchfield gives and what Focal's QR code leads you to. The Focal site appears to spec a different speaker with low end freq response of 65Hz vs the 40Hz Crutchfield states.
Pros: Power, clarity, precision, separation between tweeter, midrange, and bass. Bass punch.
Cons: No technical literature, discrepancy in specs, no hex wrench to adjust the tweeter

Great speaker period
Alessandro from Roswell, GA on 2/12/2022
Thought It would be a step back from my B&W 805 d2 ("wife factor" forced a change to in wall speakers)and it was not! Very similar in sound to the Kanta 2 from Focal that I had auditioned. Very impressed with quality of build, needs good amps to be at best. New mounting system is easier but has some space disadvantages if you are in a cramped situation. I will keep those for a very long time. Highly recommended.

Excellent in-wall 2.1 setup
Jason L. from Parker, CO on 12/16/2020
For our basement finishing project our family agreed that getting a nicer 2 channel setup was a priority but the lack of space put an early damper on my mood. Originally I had planned on some Monitor Audio towers for full range listening and watching movies; wife said no. These became our compromise and paired with my Rotel RA-1570 Integrated Amp (120w per channel) it is astounding the depth of range they have. A little on the bright side initially but after 6 months of listening they've developed a great warmth for music listening regardless of genre: Sturgill Simpson, Prince, Steely Dan, Infected Mushroom, M83, Purple Disco Machine, Peter Gabriel, and Earth, Wind & Fire all are a great match. They also look pretty unique without the covers on our built wood wall. All that said, invest in a complimentary subwoofer as the only lack these have in-wall, naturally, is the low end punch. We use our basement for remote working and family nights so a variety of music, movies, and tv shows is going constantly. Nearly went down the MartinLogan in-wall route but took a risk on these Focals and thus far they're incredible. Travail magnifique Focal!
Pros: Accurate sound with a unique look to show off
Cons: Budget for a dedicated subwoofer if low end punch is what you want

At these new higher prices, you're better off going with the Martinson Axis.

Exceptional and high quality
D.C. from Allen, TX on 10/20/2019
I bought a pair for just left and right stereo setup for my living room. It is powered by Arcam SR250. Phenomenal for music and movies. Yes it's 2.1 setup but it is mind blowing quality.
Pros: Quality and design
Cons: Cost is a little high but buy once and forget about it.
