Focal Aria 906
Crutchfield customer from SPOKANE, WA on 5/15/2023
Really wanted to love these, but harsh, grating midrange coupled with no bass make them almost unacceptable at this price. I most likely will be returning these
Pros: Image really well.
Cons: Harsh, no bass.

Focal Aria Wow!
Chad from Salida, CA on 4/24/2023
Wow! I absolutely love these speakers! They are a huge upgrade from my old Martin Logan Motions. I have them paired with my Marantz Cinema 60 and it drives the speakers with ease. I spent a long time looking at a lot of different speakers. I'm happy with my decision thanks to Crutchfield Advisors taking the time to answer all of my questions. They also look amazing!

Focal Aria 906
MM from San Antonio, TX on 10/11/2022
They sound fantastic, not sure why people have said the bass is not punchy on these, it absolutely is on my pair. Excellent midrange as well. These are the first really good speakers I've had and they make all the difference listening to my vintage records. Prompt shipping as well, Crutchfield is great.

Wonderful
Crutchfield customer from Frisco, TX on 12/23/2021
These are simply beautiful speakers. The mid-range is very detailed. The top end is crisp without being shrill or brittle. The bass extension is much deeper than I expect for cones of this size. The bass is tight, and articulate (after a few hours of running them in, give them a bit to open up). I had originally paired them with an Onkyo amp (@75w/c) and the image was VERY forward. Pairing them with Peachtree Nova 150 created an excellent image, not forward at all, with a lot of depth.
Pros: Beautiful in every respect.

Disappointed
Bill from Sterling Heights, MI on 8/31/2021
I really wanted to like these speakers. Made in France. Gorgeous finish, the sound not so great. Ran them for weeks on my McIntosh system, way too bright and very hollow. I returned them and bought Goldenear BRX. They sounded incredible right out of the box. Very happy now.
Pros:
Cons: Too bright No bass

Attractive speaker with well balanced presentation
Paul from Venice, FL on 6/9/2021
Be aware - Anything other than prime walnut is a vinyl wrap which at this price point is simply not acceptable. However real walnut with flax cones looks very nice. Flax has a nice organic pattern giving a warm feeling while still feeling modern. Attached is a picture of one of my drivers - each is different as they are all unique! The provided grilles diminish the style (hello, 1990s...) and will never be used in my home. If you have cats or small children and need the grilles, you're going to miss out on the real beauty of these speakers. Not a huge fan of the Focal speaker stands because of the silver color. The design and construction are solid and the wire management is nice, just wish other finishes were available. But they have grown on me a bit - I may still do a custom wrap. I bought scratch and dent and the only defect I have seen is a small ~1cm scratch at the top plate of my speaker (picture attached). It's definitely there and I can feel it if I run my finger along the top, but if I'm 2 feet or more away it's not visible so for daily driving no "real" defect. Savings well worth it. Sound: Mine in fairly large room (20x26x10) and will play to "party" level (Sonos amp 125w/channel). Subwoofer highly recommended (Kef KC62 here) to fill in lower registers but at low to moderate levels not required. High end is not forward, a well balanced speaker. My last speakers were 4x this price - 906s are not the same level but not disappo
Pros: Design and appearance Imaging and soundstage are very good Some "air" but not overly bright or forward Better performance than expected in a large room Scratch and dent was good value
Cons: Twice the cost of buying in France and these were 1/2 this price in the USA just a few years ago As expected in speaker this size you will need a subwoofer for bass that you "feel"

Focal Aria 906
Vincent from Foothill Ranch, CA on 6/6/2021
Perfect sound, crystal clear, punchy bass, equilibrated mediums and crisp treble. I was used to Focal headphones so decided to go for these speakers. Need the proper cables obviously (AudioQuest Mackenzie in my case). Paired with a Technics SU-G700 amp.
Pros: Premium sound and materials.
Cons: Quite heavy.

Focal Aria Bookshelf Review- Music
David from Rocky Hill on 1/20/2020
These Focal Aria's are worth it in their price range in the bookshelf category. I like that they're open on top with the vocals and instruments having the kind of inviting sound that makes you want to listen for extended sessions without the gnawing feeling that you're missing out on something. Once broken in, recordings falls into place bringing with it lots of musical enjoyment. I listen to a lot of acoustic music from CD's and WiFi streaming, mostly from singers/songwriters from different genres. You're getting a good tonal balance and detail here without the sense of having discordance or too much of something or the lack of it from top to bottom within the audio limits of the speaker. The Aria's don't need to be played loud to sound great either, probably because the sound is so smooth, detailed and refined and because it this they deserve good clean power. Not that the Aria 906's present a difficult load on the receiver or amplifier, but because they're able to resolve so much within the mix. So you're getting stable imaging as you move around the listening position so everyone gets the goods. I tend to run them full-range with my 10 in. Boston Acoustics sub filling in the bass and placing them on 24 in steel stands about 2 foot from the front wall. Yes, there are speakers that resolve more of the low-end but what you get here is more than just good. Highly recommended!
Pros: Easy on the Ears Musically Involving Smooth Refinement Resolution
Cons: Bass could be a bit better

Nice Speakers
Crutchfield customer from Boca Raton, FL on 6/20/2019
In the less-than-ideal setting of my library, the Arias do not compare well with the Concertinos with which I am comparing them.
Pros: Bright highs. Relatively deep lows.
Cons: Hollow midrange. Not as smooth or full sounding as rhe Sonus Fabers. Currently allowing for break-in as suggested, but will likely return.
