Customer Q&A

7 questions already asked

Q
What are the preferred settings for the subsonic, phase and bass boost for this model. Also, what advantage does an LOC give this sub?
bryan  Oct 13, 2022
1 answer
A
If you purchased this subwoofer from Crutchfield, feel free to contact our Tech Support team. They can walk you through the settings to ensure they are properly set for your specific application. Our toll-free Tech Support number is printed on your invoice, and is also available under the "My Orders" tab in the "My Account" section of our website. If you did not purchase the unit from Crutchfield, then you may want to contact the manufacturer. Use of an LOC will also depend on your application. For some situations use of an LOC is preferred, for others it would not be necessary. Our advisors will be happy to help with determining if you need an LOC via chat or phone at 1-800-324-9695.

Q
Would this be suitable in a BMW G20 sedan? No fold down seats. Or would something powerful would be better?
arizona_man  Oct 05, 2020
1 answer
A
My setup is in a G37 in which the seats also don't fold down. Even with having a ski pass I rarely if ever use it. This set up works for me because I knew the limitations of how loud this would be. If I wanted to be heard from a block away then I would have planned differently but for bottom end bass this puts out, I'm good.

Q
Can a bass adjustment knob/switch be connected to turn the bass up or down?
jeremy  Jul 15, 2020
1 answer
A
I'm not aware of any remote bass knob/adjustment directly connected to the unit but I run an LOC connected to my factory BMW system via a custom harness to make this sub work. The LOC has a remote bass knob wired all the way to the front of the car and i can increase and decrease the bass that way.

jason  Jul 04, 2018

It is assembled in China, yes.
