2022 Corolla

Installed these in the front doors and dash of my 2022 Corolla. They are truly drop-in except for the fact that you do need to secure the tweeters with tape or something similar as mentioned in another review since the tweeters don't fully engage the locking clips. As for the sound, at least without amplification they are an improvement for sure, but the price does seem a bit steep for what you get but I suppose the cost is reflective of 'drop-in' parts. I've since added a Kicker Key 200.4 and when amplified with the internal DSP I am much happier with this purchase combined with Focal coaxial speakers in the rear doors. I'd recommend an amp and DSP if you want the most out of these, otherwise it's a tough sale if I had to do it again.

Upgraded Quality

Great set of speakers. Sounds better than the factory audio. Bass thumps a little harder but to get the best out of these you need to add an amp.

Easiest speaker replacement I've ever done.

I purchased these for the 2025 Toyota Corolla LE with just the basic audio system I had bought a few weeks ago. The stock sound system sounded like a cheap transistor radio from decades ago. I did get the vehicle specific components (woofers in door and tweeters on the dash corners. I paired the speakers with the Sony 45 watt per channel, 4 channel amp. I was blown away on how good these speakers sounded. Truly a incredible difference even with using the stock head unit that came with the car. Of note was that these speakers were truly plug and play, fit was perfect and easy connection to the factory wiring and no splicing needed. I just ordered another pair to replace the back door speakers but ordered the coaxial speakers for the rear.

Big step up in sound quality

Big upgrade from the stock speakers. The install was easy, not having to run wires through the door channel rubber channels, like I did for my '15 RAV4, which was a full build, far beyond what I put in my wife's '16 RAV4. I did install 5 sheets of Hushmat inside and outside of the door panel, hidden by the door panel, the road noise is highly suppressed. without the amp I just put in, the speakers were clearer, better bass, cleaner vocals, not huge, but enough to notice. I just installed and Audio Control LC2pro processor/line converter, and ACM 2.300 micro amp. This combination made the speakers come ALIVE, FAR better than the factory radio could imagine mustering. If you get these speakers, and amp will pay huge dividends.

Focal IS TOY 165

These sounded great when installed in my 2017 corolla, huge upgrade over the paper speakers that the car came with. However, when I upgraded to a 2023 corolla hatchback I came to Crutchfield to see if these speakers were compatible with my new corolla and Crutchfield says they are. So I took them out of the old corolla with plans to install them in the new one but when I went to put them in, they physically fit in the space they're meant for but at some point Toyota switched the connectors on the door speakers so I don't really have any way to connect them.

Focal Inside IS TOY 165

Man these speakers blew me away. They provide so much mid range sound. The clarity at high volumes is amazing. I'm hearing nuances in songs I've never heard befor on my old stock speakers. I'm super pleased with these. I have the focal 6x9's in the rear trunk lid. I have this component system in my my front. They sound so warm and smooth. Not a lot of bass but that's okay I have a level 3 dc audio 12 on 700 watts 2 ohm load. With a damore engineering e1000.1. The speakers really compliment the system as a whole.

Worth Every Penny!

I installed ic-toy165's and is-toy165's as replacements for the stock Toyota speakers in my non-JBL 2018 Rav4 XLE. These speakers are PERFECTLY formed to be direct-replacements for the factory Toyota speakers. The provided tweeter mounting hardware is simple enough. A nice discovery for me was that the tweeters themselves were mountable in the factory tweeter enclosures. Once you see the factory tweeter mounts, peel back the factory adhesive, release the tabs, remove and replace the tweeters. Simple. The Focal tweeters are about 1/8th of an inch deeper, so the tabs don't secure the tweeter in its mount.not to worry, i simple used a 1/2-inch wide by 3-inches long strip of Dynamat to secure the tweeters! I did use Dynamat behind and around the speaker mounting locations to reduce vibration. The speakers sound great! I wish I could have afforded the cost of the Focal 3-way system! Via a Toyota Forum online, I discovered that the rear, factory speaker circuit is not as powerful as the front channels. Overall though, the High Efficiency of these Focal speakers increased my overall volume from barely over "road noise" to "turn down stereo at stoplights and driving through neighborhoods". And I have not even installed the power amp yet. I highly recommend these speakers, and would purchase them again. Zero obvious indication of anything non-Toyota means zero Toyota warranty violation! Much Better Sound in my 2021 Corolla

Great component speaker for my 2021 Toyota Corolla. Had these installed over the weekend, surprised to hear the clarity in the highs and mid-range frequency. These components are as advertised, needing no special brackets for installation.

Speakers are built nice wish I can use them due back order I can install them it been two weeks now if they could sent all why send it at am just looking at them not hearing them!
