light bodied with exceptional clarity
Bruce from Lincoln, CA on 6/15/2025
like other reviews found these speakers extremely "clean" with mid and treble range exceptional. must credit Daisy for her advice as at nearly 80 my hearing in high range diminished but not noticeable with these speakers. if you like a lot of bass I would listen and compare first. again the bass is fine for me and I again appreciate the lack of "muddiness." I bought a 10 inch subwoofer which I will set up but now wouldn't have done so as not needed. will be interesting to see if it changes the sound color. this purchase was for stereo not home entertainment.

Great all round system
Gordon from Lewsisville , TX on 9/29/2024
These are great sounding floor standers. The bass is very good but the midrange and highs are where they shine. Not sure why/how one of the other reviewers weren't impressed. I'm using this in a 5.2.4 system and it's very immersive. I'm using the matching center channel and the Theva no 1 bookshelf speakers as surrounds. I chose the light wood and they looked great. Crutchfield shipped these in 2 days! Really, these were delivered on the second day after I ordered them. Incredible service.
Pros: Totally immersive surround sound.
Cons: None.

Fantastic Sounding Speakers!
Roger from Turner, OR on 9/9/2023
Bought the Theva No.2 towers to go with our Marantz Cinema 60 for music and home theatre use. I was a little worried about buying a small tower for such a large space (16' x 30"), but those worries quickly faded once I fired them up. These speakers sound much larger than they are and the bass response, once broken in, is surprising given the specs. These speakers seriously thump in the low end and I'm hearing good, strong bass well below the stated 53Hz. Mids are amazingly clear with fantastic resolution and the tweeter adds just the right amount of top end sizzle without sounding harsh. I did find these speakers sensitive to placement off the front wall in our room and with them only 8" off our front wall, bass was a little blurry and a bit boomy. Pulling them out another 6" off the front wall really improved the low end focus. Overall, I found the Theva's to be really great sounding speakers for listening to music, but I would say that for home theatre use, you will need a sub and center channel speaker to improve low end effects and dialogue indelibility. While I really loved the Theva's, I did end up returning them for a pair of Q Acoustics 5040 towers. I actually preferred the sound of the Theva's, but our space requires the towers to be close to the front wall and the matching Theva center was just a little too tall to fit under our TV.
Pros: Amazing tone
Cons: Same design as the Chora's Bass over powering if too close to front wall.
