poor design, hard to attsch
Henry Lebaro from Sarasota, FL on 3/8/2024
dry difficult to tighten on the handlebars The answers to shrink down the diameter. The part that attaches to the handlebars are very difficult to work with and rigid. I could not tighten the part enough to keep it stable, so this device was useless
Pros: sturdt
Cons: difficult, if not impossible to attach to handlebars

Ok so the mounting is a problem if your handlebars a a standard diameter since the u joint bushings provided are too large, the remedy is to use tape to increase the bar diameter so the u joints tighten up. This was mentioned by another reviewer. The second issue is the rattling you get will biking over bumps and ruff surfaces. It is a rattle which comes from the internal mechanism of the mount and it's really annoying. Haven't figured out how to fix this.

Thule 100087

I had to do a few modifications in order to get the Thule to fit on my wife's bike handlebars. the plastic shims that came with the kit were too big for the handlebars to hold securely. I ended up wrapping electrical tape around the bars and then mounted the shims over the tape. It seems to be secure for now. ( cross your fingers)

Bulky, but very stable & solid
Crutchfield customer from Rockville, MD on 4/16/2019
The Thule clamp is bulky, but it's built to hang a handlebar bag, which is much heavier than a phone. The side-clamp and corner-bungee mount is belt-and-suspenders secure. It fits right over the centerpost so it doesn't get in the way of my brake levers and shifters (I have straight handlebars, and this was an issue with other mounts I checked out). And Thule has a well-earned reputation for bulletproof gear. Best I could have gotten!
Pros: Sturdy and stable, belt-and-suspenders secure
Cons: Bulky
