Thule's EasyFold XT 2 is a compact, foldable hitch-mount bike rack that makes transporting all types of bikes easier and more convenient. This smart, heavy-duty rack can handle almost any bike, including large-wheelbase bikes, mountain bikes, and even e-bikes. The foldable integrated ramp makes loading easy and there's even a foot-pedal tilt that lets you get into your wagon or SUV's tailgate when you're carrying your bikes.

Super-secure storage

Mounting and securing your bikes is a snap with the EasyFold XT 2, thanks to detachable bike arms with lockable Thule AcuTight torque limiter knobs. The knobs click when optimal torque is reached, so you won't over-tighten. The wheel straps feature adjustable pump buckles for fastening the wheels, and you can add an optional XXL Wheel Strap kit to fit longer wheelbases and tires up to 4.7”.

Easy to lock, easy to store

You can lock your bikes to the bike rack and your bike rack to the receiver hitch using the included Thule locks. When the rack is not in use, just fold it up and pull it into the garage using the handle and the integrated transport wheels.

Features

Overview: The Thule EasyFold XT 2 fully foldable, hitch-mounted bicycle carrier lets you easily and safely transport up to two bikes using your 1-1/4" or 2" hitch receiver (not included). The bike carrier features a high load capacity, letting you transport heavy mountain bikes and e-bikes. Wide spaced wheel-holders provide 9" of space between mounted bikes while detachable bike arms let you quickly and easily secure bikes. Each arm features Thule's AcuTight torque limiter knobs that "click" to let you know when optimal torque has been reached. Wheel straps with adjustable pump buckles are provided for fastening wheels.

Trunk Access: The EasyFold XT 2 features an integrated foot-pedal release that lets you tilt the bike rack downward for access to your vehicle trunk or hatch, even with bikes mounted.

Removable Design: The EasyFold XT 2 can quickly and easily be removed from the hitch receiver and folded for storage. Integrated wheels and a carry-handle provide ergonomic transport when folded.

Lockable: The Thule bike rack includes built-in locks for added security. Bikes can be locked to the rack and the rack can be locked to the hitch receiver. A lock key is provided.

Hitch Receiver Compatibility: The Thule EasyFold XT 2 includes an adaptor for mounting the carrier to 2" hitch receivers. The adapter can be removed, allowing attachment to 1.25" (1-1/4") hitch receivers.

What is max tire width for this?

There does not appear to be a max tire width restriction linked to this carrier. It does have a max tire diameter of 29", max bike weight of 65lbs, and a max wheelbase of 1300 mm.

I am looking at purchasing 2 Aventure Step Through ebikes that weigh 73 pounds each, which exceeds the weight limits listed for these racks. What are my options?
