Touchscreen & OEM Integration

Two-Piece Configuration (Detachable): The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX digital multimedia receiver features a two-piece floating display configuration with an external 10" capacitive touchscreen monitor and a separate single-DIN (2") source unit. Separating the large touchscreen monitor from the chassis allows the BE10ACP.WX to be installed in a standard single-DIN (2") dash opening. Unlike other floating screen designs where the touchscreen monitor is fixed to the source unit after installation, the BE10ACP.WX's floating touchscreen monitor is detachable to deter theft (no protective case included); simply press the two buttons one the front-panel behind the monitor and disconnect the proprietary connector to detach the floating monitor from the source unit. The two components simply snap and connect back together when you are ready to use it again.

• Floating Touchscreen Monitor: The floating 10" touchscreen monitor connects to the front-panel of the single-DIN source unit once its mounted in the dash. Depending on your vehicle's factory radio location and the location of other factory equipment, you may need to adjust the mounting position of the touchscreen monitor in order to prevent impairment of vehicle driving operations. The floating touchscreen monitor offers horizontal (+/- 15 degrees), vertical (up/down) and tilt (+/- 25 degrees) adjustability to ensure the best fit and usability in your vehicle's dash.

• Single-DIN Source Unit: The source unit mounts in a standard single-DIN (2") dash opening using a vehicle specific kit (sold separately). The source unit contains all the BE10ACP.WX's input and output connections. The included floating touchscreen monitor attaches to the source unit's front-panel insert and proprietary connector.

10" Capacitive Touchscreen: The 10" floating capacitive touchscreen monitor delivers a high-quality image with highly responsive touchscreen operation. It has a resolution of 1024 x 600 (614,400 total pixels) with a high contrast ratio, crystal clear display, and vivid text. Capacitive touchscreen operations include touch, swipe, and drag.

• Wallpaper & Background: You can select between 6 pre-loaded wallpaper backgrounds. You cannot download a custom image.
• Dimmer & Brightness Settings: You can manually adjust the LCD touchscreen monitor's brightness for day and nighttime viewing. You can also setup the unit to have the display dim when you turn your vehicle's lights on (the orange wire of the wiring harness must be connected to your vehicle's headlight circuit).
• Date & Time Display: The receiver offers date (Month/Date/Year) and time (12 or 24 hour) display.

Rotary Knob and Touch Sensitive Controls: In addition to its 10" capacitive touchscreen, there are 6 touch-sensitive buttons and a 3-way rotary knob along the bottom edge of the touchscreen that operate Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, Voice Recognition, Carplay/Androdi Auto Navigation, Camera, and Home/Menu. The unit offers variable color button illumination; choose from Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, or White. You can also have the button illumination cycle between all the colors. In addition, there is ambient lighting below the floating touchscreen monitor which can be set to sync and match the button illumincation color.

iDatalink Maestro Compatible: With the latest upcoming software update, available for download from Boss Website, you can unlock advanced features such as steering wheel controls, engine diagnostics, and access to real-time vehicle information directly on the Boss Elite head unit through the use of iDatalink's Maestro RR/RR2 interface (sold separately), a vehicle specific wiring harness (sold separately), and iDatalink's Weblink Desktop (for Windows and Mac).

• Supported Features: iDatalink Maestro supported features include Vehicle Status, Engine Gauges, Park Assist, Vehicle OEM Settings, Climate Control, Door/Hood/Truck Status, Gear Status, Engine Status, and Voltage Gauge. *Supported features will vary by vehicle make, model, and year.
• Unsupported Features: The Bose Elite head unit will not support the following features of the iDatalink Maestro interface - Speed Radar Detection, Smart Camera Activation, and External Triggers.

Optional Steering Wheel Control: The unit features a SWC (steering wheel control) input which lets you keep your vehicle's factory radio steering wheel remote controls when used with an optional Metra, Maestro, or PAC steering wheel control adapter (sold separately).

Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

Built-In WiFi: The Boss BE10ACP.WX features built-in WiFi and comes with a pre-installed WiFi antenna for wireless connectivity specifically designed to support a cable free connection between your Apple iPhone or Android smartphone and the receiver. By supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via a wireless connection, you no longer need to worry about taking your smartphone out of your bag or your pocket before you get into your car.

• GPS Antenna: The included GPS antenna must be installed for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to function. The GPS antenna can be mounted inside the front of vehicle on the dash or pillar.
• Cellular & Data Plan Requirements: Access to CarPlay and Android Auto apps will depend on the availability of a cellular and/or WiFi network for purposes of allowing your iPhone or Android smartphone to connect to the Internet. Your compatible Apple or Android device will need an active Data Plan account with connection to the Internet via 3G, EDGE, LTE (4G), or WiFi.

Wireless Android Auto: The Boss BE10ACP.WX receiver supports Android Auto with select Android smartphones using a wireless or wired connection. A Google or Samsung smartphone with Android OS 10.0+ or any smartphone with Android OS 11.0+ and 5GHz WiFi can utilize Android Auto Wireless with the Boss receiver using the latest version of the Android Auto app, plus a WiFi and Bluetooth connection. Android smartphones running Oreo 8.0 or newer can also be hardwired to the Boss receiver via USB and Bluetooth. Android Auto extends the Android platform into your car in a way that's purpose-built for driving and automatically brings you useful information and organizes it into a simple on-screen user interface. It's designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road ahead. Features of Android Auto include -

• Google Assistant: The Boss receiver enhances your Android Auto experience even more by incorporating Google Assistant using the head unit's external microphone and your car speakers for voice command and text-to-speech, which makes using Android Auto and all of its integrated applications fast, easy, and safe. You will need to press the "mic" button or say "OK Google" to activate the Google Assistant. Use the Google Assistant to make a call, send a message, reply to a message, get driving directions, or listen to music.
• Google & Waze Maps: Use Google Maps to get where you're going with on-screen maps, voice-guided navigation, live traffic information, lane guidance, and more. Select your destination by using the head unit's touchscreen or just say where you want to go through the unit's external mic and Google Speech Technology. You can even listen to music from your Android Auto device or other connected source device while using Google Maps. If you prefer, you can switch over to a simpler version of the community-based Waze navigation app..
• Phone & SMS: With Android Auto you get access to your contacts and messages through the Boss receiver while keeping your eyes on the road. Use the unit's external mic and Google Speech Technology to make a phone call, or have your text-messages read aloud to you while you concentrate on the road ahead; you can even reply to texts via voice command.
• Music: Access your Android smartphone's music library through the Boss receiver via YouTube Music. You'll be able to browse music like you do on your smartphone with song/artist information display and album art. Use the receiver's touchscreen to select songs or just say what song you want to listen to through the head unit's external mic and Google Speech Technology. You also get access to online music and radio stations from Amazon Music, Tidal, Pandora, Spotify, iHeart Radio, Slacker Radio, & Tune-In. Wireless Apple CarPlay: Apple CarPlay is a smarter, safer way to use your iPhone 5 or newer in the car, while you stay focused on the road. Your iPhone can be connected to the Boss BE10ACP.WX wirelessly via WiFi + Bluetooth or hardwired via USB. An iPhone 5 or newer (running iOS 9.0+) is required for a wireless connection, while an iPhone 5 or newer (running iOS 7.1+) is required for a hardwired connection. Apple CarPlay takes the things you want to do with your iPhone while driving and integrates them into the Boss BE10ACP.WX. Apple CarPlay offers an incredibly intuitive way to make calls, view maps, listen to music, and access messages from your compatible iPhone through the Boss BE10ACP.WX in-dash receiver. With Apple CarPlay, you can control these functions from the BE10ACP.WX receiver's 10" touchscreen or activate Siri for minimized distraction.

• Maps: Through Apple CarPlay, the power and simplicity of Apple Maps comes to your dashboard; complete with turn-by-turn direction, traffic conditions, and estimated travel time. You can enter a new destination or choose a favorite or recent destination using the head unit's touchscreen or by simply asking Siri. CarPlay can also predict where you most likely want to go using addresses from your email, text messages, contacts, and calendars. You can choose to navigate via Google Maps or Waze instead of CarPlay. Google Maps and Waze do not support Siri voice control, but will have their own proprietary voice control function which has to be accessed through a touchscreen icon on the receiver.
• Phone: With Apple CarPlay, you can use the BE10ACP.WX's interactive touchscreen or ask Siri to make calls, return calls, and check voicemail. To dial a phone number, simply tap the "Phone" icon and Siri will ask you who you want to call. Using the touchscreen you can manually enter a phone number from the on-screen keypad, scroll through contacts, or select from recent and miss calls. In addition, you get access to your voicemails via touchscreen and Siri. When a call comes in, simply tap the "Phone" icon to answer. You'll carry on your side of the conversation through the included external microphone, while the other party is heard through your vehicle's speakers. You can emphasize or weaken the volume level the microphone. You can also select which car speaker outputs the caller audio; you can select All, Front-Left, Front-Right, or Front-Left/Right.
• Text Messages: Apple CarPlay also lets you enjoy a better and safer way of text messaging with friends and family when you're on the road, through the Boss receiver and Siri. Through your voice commands, Siri can send, read, and reply to your text messages so that you never have to glance at your phone while behind the wheel. When a new message comes in a banner will come across the screen and Siri will read back the message for you. Text messages cannot be read or typed from the head unit's touchscreen to prevent driver distraction.
• Music Library: CarPlay lets you access your music in your iPhone's music library, plus Apple Music from the Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX. You can browse your music by Playlist, Artist, Song, etc.. just like you would on your iPhone from the BE10ACP.WX's touchscreen. You can also use Siri to find and play back your music. The BE10ACP.WX's touchscreen will display song/artist information, as well as album art in the background. Tap the Now Playing icon on the Boss receiver's capacitive touchscreen and see song, artist, album information with Album Art displaying in the background. From the Now Playing screen you also get basic playback function, like Play/Pause, Previous Next/Track, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Repeat/Shuffle.
• Audio Apps & Podcasts: CarPlay also supports additional audio apps that you've downloaded to your iPhone for enjoying music, podcasts, sports, news, and audiobooks - including Pandora, Tidal, Spotify, iHeart Radio, TuneIn Radio, Slacker Radio, Vox, Stitcher, MLB.com At Bat, CBS Radio News, NPR One, OverCast, Audiobooks.com & Audible (subscriptions and fees may app). Control them from the head unit's touchscreen or Siri just like you would from your iPhone. Your iPhone's touchscreen remains unlocked during CarPlay connection, so you are able to access additional music apps and listen to them through the Boss receiver; however these apps offer no control or display information from the head unit's touchscreen.
• Apple HomeKit Compatible: CarPlay now supports control of Apple HomeKit enabled devices (sold separately) through Siri. Using CarPlay in your vehicle, you can ask Siri to close or open your garage door, turn on or off home lighting, increase or decrease the temperature of your thermostat, as well as control select functions of other Apple HomeKit enabled devices and appliances. Smartphone Charging: The Boss BE10ACP.WX will also charge (5V/1.5A) your Android Auto compatible Android smartphone or Apple CarPlay compatible iPhone while connected via USB with the vehicle's ignition switch set to the 'ACC' or 'On' position.

Bluetooth & Tuner Section

Bluetooth 5.2+EDR: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.2+EDR allowing you to make and receive phone calls wirelessly through the receiver; as well as stream music wirelessly from your smartphone to the head unit, plus use the Push-To-Talk feature to activate digital voice assistance. With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the Boss head unit without having to enter pin codes or go through complicated settings. You can pair multiple devices, but only one device can be connected and used at a time. When an already paired Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically connects the unit.

• Hands-Free Communication (External Mic): The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX allows for wireless communication between the head unit and your Bluetooth enabled smartphone. Thanks to the latest Hands-Free Profile (HFP) with wideband speech capability, the BE10ACP.WX provides more natural sound quality and details during wireless calls. The receiver will display the caller's phone number and an audible ring tone will be heard through your vehicle's speaker during an incoming call. You can manually answer or end a call through the head unit's front-panel controls (or set the receiver to automatically answer the call). The BE10ACP.WX allows you to carry on the phone conversation using the included external microphone and your car audio speakers. Your music will mute automatically during a call. You can make a call using the Boss receiver's LCD touchscreen via its on-screen keypad, your phone's transferred phonebook, or a list of your most recent calls. When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.
• Wireless Audio Streaming: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX allows wireless play back of stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet, or other device using a Bluetooth connection. You can control basic music playback functions, like Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track from the Boss head unit (advanced music browsing will still be done from your Bluetooth source device). The unit will also display song/artist information (no Album art).
• Push-To-Talk: When connected via Bluetooth to an iPhone with Siri or Android smartphone with Google Assistant or Bixby, you can access the mobile device's digital voice assistant through the Boss Elite receiver by pressing the "Mic" button on the front-panel. You'll speak your command into the head unit's microphone and the digital voice assistant will be heard through your vehicle's speakers (music playback will be attenuated). Compatible digital voice assistant functions include hands-free calling, music search, setting reminders, text-messaging, audible navigation, and more. You'll be able to ask your digital voice assistant get directions to a destination and the turn-by-turn instructions will heard through your vehicle's speakers, while the on-screen map still displays on your compatible smartphone. The head unit's audio is attenuated while the digital voice assistant provides voice prompts.

SiriusXM-Ready: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX is SiriusXM-Ready and compatible with the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (220SXV300 sold separately). The SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner supports SiriusXM programming with access to 175+ SiriusXM channels via subscription; check out the most popular SiriusXM subscription packages here. Additional features of the SiriusXM Connect tuner include:

• Channel List with Category Search: Channel list displays a list of all available channels, while Category Search searches for channels in a certain category.
• Artist & Song Alerts: When your favorite artist or song is broadcast on another channel, an alert message will appear to let you switch the current channel to the relevant channel. Up to 50 artist/song alerts can be saved
• Song/Artist Info Display: Displayed Information such as Channel Name, Artist Name, & Song Title can be viewed on the head unit's touchscreen monitor.
• Presets: Up to 10 SiriusXM Satellite Radio station presets can be saved for quicker access.
• Parental Controls: This feature allows you to restrict access to any SiriusXM channels, including those with mature content. A password is required to tune to a locked channel.

AM/FM Tuner: The Boss Elite head unit features a built-in AM/FM tuner with manual, seek, and preset tuning. You can store up to 10 FM and 10 AM station presets.  The unit also offers a preset scan function, allowing you to quickly scan through your available presets on a current AM or FM band. In addition, the tuner features RDS (Radio Data System) and selectable North America/European tuning.

• RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio broadcast information such as artist & track information when listening to compatible AM/FM stations.
• US and European Tuning: You can also select between North American and European tuning.

USB//AV/Camera Connectivity

USB MSC Playback: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX is equipped with a USB-C port and USB-A port (attached via 39" cable) that allow for connection of a USB mass storage class device; such as a USB thumbdrive (up to 32GB) formatted in FAT32. The USB-C port is located on the right-side of the floating touchscreen monitor, while the USB-A port is located on the rear of source unit's chassis. The unit supports playback of a variety of music, video, and photo files loaded onto a compatible USB MSC device. You can search by folder or file, control playback functions (such as Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track), well as view song/artist information - including album art. USB portable devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the receiver's front-panel USB-C port (5V/1.5A) or rear-panel USB-A port (5V/1.5A), and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

AV Input: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX features a rear-panel AV input which consists of a composite video jack and stereo RCA jacks for connecting an external portable audio/video source.

Dual Camera Inputs: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX features dual camera inputs that consist of composite video jacks. There is a rear view camera input and a front view camera input. Cameras sold separately (see Accessories Tab).

• Rear View Camera: When an optional rear view camera is connected to this unit, the rear view image is displayed on the integrated 10" touchscreen monitor when your vehicle is placed in reverse gear (purple/white wire of harness must be connected to the vehicle's reverse gear circuit). Automatic video switching can be set to 0.1, 0.5, 1, or 2 seconds. The unit will also display on-screen guidelines to assist you when backing up.
• Front View Camera: The BE10ACP.WX also features a second composite video camera input that can be used for connecting a front camera or dash cam (sold separately). The front view camera input is manually selected from the head unit's touchscreen (no auto switching).

Amp & Audio Section

20W x 4Ch Amp: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX receiver is equipped with a 20 watt (RMS) x 4 channel amplifier.

6Ch/4V Pre-outs: The Boss Elite BE10ACP.WX features front, rear and subwoofer 4.0-volt pre-outs. The front and rear speaker pre-outs are balance and fade adjustable, while the subwoofer pre-outs output are non-fading. You can adjust the subwoofer output's level (1 to 14) independently from the overall volume.

High Pass & Low Pass Crossovers: The BE10ACP.WX offers high & low pass crossover filters for the front and rear speakers, as well as a low pass crossover filter for the subwoofer preouts.

• Front & Rear Speaker Crossovers: The high pass crossover filter for the front and rear speakers can be set to 20, 60, 80, 160, or 250Hz; while the low pass crossover filter for the subwoofer can be set to 2, 8, 10, 16, or 20kHz. This allows you to select which frequencies above and below two specific frequencies reach your front and rear speakers. You can also designate the slope (-6/-12/-18dB) for the high pass and low pass filters, which determines the rate at which the frequencies below or above are attenuated.
• Subwoofer Crossover: The subwoofer low pass crossover filter can be set to 50, 80, 120, or 60Hz. This allows only frequencies below a specific frequency to reach your connected subwoofers.

EQ: The receiver offers 6 EQ presets - User, HipHop, Pop, R&B, Rock, and Jazz. The User mode allows you to manually adjust the head unit's 13-band EQ (32, 63, 125, 250, 500, 1k,2k, 4k, 8k, 10k, 12k, 16k Hz) from -6dB to +6dB.

Time Alignment: The Time Alignment setting allows you to adjust the audio delay so that sound from all the speakers arrives at the listener simultaneously.

Loudness: The Loudness feature enhances high & low frequencies at lower volume levels.

Source Level: You can independently adjust the source level of the Radio, USB, Bluetooth, AV In, Android Auto, and CarPlay for smoother volume level transition between sources.

Default Volume: You can set the turn-on and default volume of the head unit's Main Source, Bluetooth Phone (Talk/Ring), Navigation Voice Prompts, and Voice Control Assistants (Siri/Google) from 0 to 50.

Beep Tone: The in-dash receiver provides an audible beep to confirm operation. This function can be turned On or Off.
