The MCBK420B includes an in-line volume control for the two 3” speakers, which include adjustable brackets to mount the streamlined pods to a handlebar or rail. You can plug your media player into the system's minijack input or connect via Bluetooth 2.1 — either way, the system's 600 watts of peak power will give you plenty of volume. And the system's Bluetooth reception range extends up to 33 feet, so you can keep the music playing even when you're not right next to the system. Wherever you go, the MCBK420B can handle the conditions and pump out the tunes.

Features

Amplifier Inputs: The amp has four inputs; RCA jacks on the amp, a female 3.5mm mini-jack on the amp, a male 3.5mm mini-plug attached to the amp with a 6' cord, and wireless Bluetooth. All four are inputs are live simultaneously, so if more than one is connected, selection must be made by turning all but one source off.

Note: If more than one source connected to the line inputs (RCA and 3.5mm) is turned on, it's likely you'll hear static through the speakers in addition to music, even if the source is muted or paused.

Speaker Mounting: The speakers are designed to mount to a round tube using the adjustable stainless steel clamps. Six different spacer sizes are included for use with tubes from 5/8" to 1-1/2" (approximately). Once the speakers are in place, but before the brackets are tightened, you can adjust the mounting angle. After mounting, the speakers can still swivel almost 360°.

Wiring: All the wiring is fixed length and already attached to the speakers and amplifier. Each speaker has a 37" input wire attached and the wires from both speakers are attached to a single Molex plug. The power and ground wires extend 74" from that same Molex plug and power wire has a 5 amp in-line fuse. The 22" speaker output wires are attached to the amplifier and terminated with the mate to the speakers' Molex plug.

Volume: The rotary volume control has a 76" cable attached that plugs into the amp and mounts in a round hole in a panel, 0.27" diameter.

I have this installed on my 2003 Harley sportster . I used a 12 volt relay as per the instructions. If you want to add a switch it would be in line of the fused power wire . Mine comes on when I turn the ignition switch on .

When I connect to Bluetooth, the connection chimes are so loud, itâ??s ear piercing. Is it possible to turn the chimes down or off?

I don't think you can adjust the volume or turn off the chimes, I have never had this issue with my unit. The only thing I could suggest is to make sure the volume to the unit and your Bluetooth device is turned down before turning it on.

Bill is correct that this comes with an amp! But as for adding another amp, there are no preamp outputs on the amp in this system. Yes they are, it is marine grade meaning you can have them on a boat. I have mine mounted on my bike and have had it sitting in the pouring down rain with no problems. I would not submerge them in water but getting them wet should pose no problem.

Water resistant...mine has had a couple of hits with rain and still ok. I do let them dry out before running them tho. I think there are limits to them.

So i have a 2006 Yamaha R6. I've seen these speakers mounted on bikes similar to mine (sportbike) but i have no clue how to mount them. reason being all handlebars are round shape, well not mine. mine are a flat bracket that connects to the steering column and the round handlebars do not start till the beginning of my grips, so i have no way to mount them with a round bracket. has anyone found a bracket or something to mount these or seen a way to fasten them to the bike?

The description says it supports simultaneous audio. So if I had my phone hooked up via Bluetooth and a VHF radio hooked up via audio input the radio would come across over the phone audio/music when there is radio traffic?

Sorry but I haven't test that scenario, whenever I connect my phone via Bluetooth I don't turn on the radio.

It should. I Bluetooth Pandora though my phone and GPS directions broadcast over the audio. Very hand on motorcycle trips!

I do not believe that's what it means. It means you can plug in one device and Bluetooth another but you can't listen to both at the same time.

3 1/4" L X 2 1/2" W X 1 1/2" D i installed my amp with tie wraps on the upper frame of the bike behind the forks. speakers went on the handle bars, plenty of wiring to reach battery for power.
