Lack Bass, but good speakers for 50% off

Almost zero bass on these speakers. mids and highs are decent, but with the small and light magnet, not much to expect from these. I got these 50% off with the JVC headunit, so i really can't complain for the price for 4 speakers. I do appreciate how slim they were so i didn't have to cut anything on my factory speaker mounts like the instruction said. They also had enough different mounting holes that i was able to match them up to the factory screw locations. These sound almost identical to the factory Alpine speakers in my Honda Pilot, but one was blown and might as well replace all of them.

Feel the Music

Tremendous upgrade from the stock speakers. I don't want to get out of the car. Installation instructions were a huge help. Getting the door panels off doesn't scare me anymore. Connecting the wiring was easy to understand.

Look well made, clear highs but zero BASS..

High power, clear highs but the bass is nonexistent, the OEM speakers were better. I was unable to return them because I installed them almost 2 years after purchased. I replaced them by some Polk speakers, much better sound..

Great choice for improvement on a budget

Replaced factory speakers and I'm happy with the results. Great value overall. Nice improvement of sound quality. No amplifier or sub so it's not bone rattling but respectable amount of bass.

Hey Jan from NYC, NYorkers we love our music and having awesome sound system in the [in the whip] is mandatory. This speaker is definitely wayyyy better than the flimsy paper stock Subaru speaks. I am more than satisfied and the price is reasonable. Thanks Crutch. Will pick up another pair for the rear and a radio complete the set then here comes the boom-Amps, cables...by the time its complete this car will have a studio and a club.

I am 65 years old and have a twelve-year-old car. I replaced the 4 speakers and the head unit with JVC products. Speaking for myself. The Sound quality is incredible. I can hear every word now. Note. I thought my hearing was just getting worse over the years. With this new system It changed the way I hear in my car for the better. Thank you Crutchfield and JVC

Not an audiophile or anything, I just needed some good speakers to replace the cheap garbage that came stock. These sure did the trick. There was a noticeable improvement to everything except the bass frequencies, which was expected because these aren't subwoofers. Easy to install, as well, but that could be more due to my car rather than these speakers. Bonus for the "50% off with JVC receiver" deal, as well.

Pretty decent replacement for stock speakers. Highs are crystal clear. Bass isn't much (theyre door speakers, what do you expect) to be talked about but for the price, definitely a great option. Would recommend for someone looking for a decently balanced stock replacement.

Perfect fit (with proper adapters from Crutchfield)!! I put these rear speakers in my 2004 Dodge Dakota Club Cab and could not be happier with the fit, price, and sound. I had a bad rear speaker and this was the perfect fix. I just needed some quality sound, that was not muffled/static and this was a good fix. This is not a "sound system" set, but gets the job done for a daily driver. HIGH RECOMMENDED and easy to install. biggest pain was taking off the interior trim to access speaker area. Once off, took 5-10 mins a side.

Acceptable sound given the price point of these speakers. They almost sound like if they were be powered by a factory stereo. Except, I just replaced the factory 1997 Ford stereo with a JVC head unit. Even with tweaking the settings (it did improve sound some) it still sounds a bit "tin" like and muddy. I just thought they would sound better given they are running of an aftermarket head unit. This is not my 1st rodeo and I have heard better speakers. Still, they were only this price so can't beat the price especially for my work truck.

Paired this with a JVC head unit and it's a huge upgrade over 2016 Nissan Versa factory audio. They're not amazing or anything but the sound is more than adequate and between this and getting my windows tinted I'm more than happy enough with the little econobox now. Factory speakers and stereo sounded like trash, this sounds like I'm in a real car at least and it was a pretty good deal when paired with the head unit, got a 50% discount on the speakers.

Supplied hardware does not work.

The hardware to screw the speakers to the rings do not function for this application. The screws cannot be longer than the plastic of the rings.

Very good replacement for my stock speaker. Slightly muddy sounding however it's paired with factory dash speakers. Planning on replacing the dash speaker with new tweeters to clean up the sound. Should be a huge improvement.

JVC not usually a brand I buy but I didn't want a paper woofer.The spacer wasn't really wide enough unfortunately.Dont sound as good as the original actually being a 4 ohm and the spacer issue,but is good enough and the originals are busted.

If you want ANY kind of bass, do NOT buy these. I bought these to replace my factory front door and read deck speakers in my 2016 Honda Civic and what a downgrade. Better than stock - Nissan Leaf

Upgraded our "premium" BOSE stock speaker that stopped working and installed this pair of JVC speakers and sounds better than the stock option with less sound distortion. It's not going get any complaints from your neighbors outside but it is more than good at this price for a Leaf. Make sure you add all the recommended adapters for your car including mountain brackets and wire harness.

Good Value

Bought a pair of JVC CS-DR621 to replace the blown front speakers on my 1995 Honda Del Sol. The factory Alpines are listed as 6.25 inch while the JVC's are 6.5 inches. The Crutchfield compatibility information was helpful to decide if these would fit. They fit perfectly and required no modification to the factory mounting hardware or grills. The wiring adapters simplified the process tremendously. Will definitely buy another set to replace the back speakers when necessary.

These were not good speakers at all. I should've listened to the other reviews. There was no bass at all. Not even a little bit. These were hooked up to an amp as well. They distorted even with the gain on the amp turned all the way down. If you like your music even the slightest bit loud these are not for you. I didn't even bother putting in the second set. The stock speakers were better than these.

This was a reasonable upgrade from the factory speaker, but then anything would be. They fit correctly in to my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX front door. Base is weak. The free accessories are required for installation. Perhaps I should have purchased the baffles, but they were not recommended. I probably would have been happier with the Infinity reference 5032 speakers.

Great speakers

I bought these speakers for my girlfriend's Equinox. Great speakers and won't brake the bank. I have them hooked up to JVC's 5 channel amplifier, and the really sound great, clear high, and great mid bass. If your looking for something not too expensive and has great sound quality, these speakers are it.
