Touchscreen & OEM Integration
OEM Integration: The JVC KW-Z800AW is specifically designed to work with iDatalink Maestro' APX Series installation kits, the iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 interface module, and iDatalink's KEN1 Direct T-harness (all sold separately), so it can seamlessly fit into a variety of select vehicles while retaining important factory features and functions.
- APX Series Installation Kit: The APX Series installation kits include mounting hardware and harnesses to retain your vehicle's factory radio bezel and controls for a factory OEM appearance with aftermarket performance - all without the need of a plastic dash kit.
- iDatalink Maestro RR/R2: The iDatalink Maestro RR or RR2 interface allows you to retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel audio controls, factory amplifier, backup camera, Aux/USB inputs, and secondary display. Additionally, it can display crucial vehicle information, such as performance data, climate controls, and battery voltage, when connected to compatible vehicles. For added convenience, radar detector information can be shown on the screen when paired with a compatible K40 radar detector system (sold separately). With the iDatalink Maestro RR2, you can also integrate an Escort radar detector system (sold separately) for a seamless driving experience.
- Direct T-Harness: The JVC KW-Z800AW does not come with its own wiring harness. Instead, it will use the iDatalink ACC-HU-KEN1 Direct T-harness for direct connection between the wiring harness that comes with the APX Series Kit and the 22-pin plug on back of the KW-Z800AW. *Some hardwiring may be required.
Notes:
- The iDatalink Maestro RR/RR2 is web programmable, which means you'll need to flash the iDatalink Maestro interface module with the correct firmware from iDatalink's website.
- Available features will vary by vehicle make, model, trim, and year.
Separate Display & Chassis: The KW-Z800AW' touchscreen display monitor and source unit chassis are a separate two-piece configuration and installed separately. The touchscreen display monitor replaces your factory touchscreen radio and installs flush in your vehicle's dash, while the source unit chassis can be installed either vertically or horizontally behind the dash or kickpanel - allowing for flexible installation in a variety of vehicles.
Note: If the cable connecting the touchscreen display and source unit is not long enough, you can solve the problem by connecting this proprietary extension cable (sold separately).
8" Capacitive Touchscreen HD Monitor: The JVC KW-Z800AW features an electrostatic capacitive touch panel and high-definition LCD panel with high luminance white LED backlighting that delivers vivid color, high-contrast, and crisp detail, as well as highly responsive touch operation. You can move the Driving Widget from side to side or enlarge the Source Control Widget to optimize the screen for your intuitive operation. The Driving Widget allows selection of a clock, compass, or equalizer setting, etc., while the background allows selection of album art, audio visualizer, or photo.
- Background Color & Wallpapers: You can choose between nine preset background colors - Blue, Purple, Sky Blue, Yellow, Green, Amber, Red, Pink, White. In addition, there are seven preset background images (wallpapers) or you can download your own still image using the JVC Portal App (for Apple iOS and Android OS) and use it as your wallpaper background. and use it as your wallpaper background. The Live Wallpaper feature even lets you synchronize background visuals and color with your music.
