Part of a 5.1 system and they sound great. The install was very easy. Make sure you know that there is no support structure, 2x4s, etc where you plan to cut.

Great speaker with sound! I actually plan to use them as in-ceiling speakers but I tested them and the sound is is great w/ a decent amount of bass. Would especially recommend these to timber match your LSIM speakers.

Ya gotta get these!!!
T from Nevada on 11/15/2015
Awesome Speakers!! Very simple to install, amazing sound and they hide very well into the ceiling. With the addition of these speakers my surround sound is complete. The detail heard from these speakers is awesome and the walk through installation made it extremely simple to put in. I did it by myself in approximately two hours. They are pricey but well worth the price when you experience the sound. Some of the reviews complain about the lack of base but you should be getting the majority of your base from your subwoofer and front speakers anyway. I think the detail in sound from these speakers should complete a surround system and these do just that.
Pros: Easy installation. Look great. Sound great.
Cons: None

Polk 80FX Ceiling Speakers

Crutchfield personnel were great to work with. Being used as ceiling speakers in an Atmos 7.2.4 configuration. They timbre match well with my LSI 15's.
Pros: Sound great, they were extremely easy to install in my 9' ceiling.
Cons: none

Polk Audio 80 F/X-LS
P.M. from Oregon on 3/27/2015
These were an upgrade for a pair of smaller downward facing Klipsch ceiling speakers. Polk's tilted speakers design helps put the sound where you need it vs. straight downward facing types.
Pros: Clear sound.
Cons: Could use some more bass.

Excellent Surround Speaker
NateS from Illinois on 3/11/2015
Superb sound and clarity! Nice bass for an in-ceiling speaker as well. The ring radiator tweeters deliver crisp high frequencies and the direct/diffuse switch is an excellent addition. I switched from Paradigm ADP 350s when I moved my system into a new room and was concerned an in-ceiling would not perform as well as the on-walls. Very happy with the Polk 80 F/X LS.
Pros: Clear high frequency. Nice bass. Easy install and the grills have a low visual impact.
Cons: None.

Kauai Dave from Alameda, Ca on 2/15/2015
These Polk Audio speakers are truly phenomenal. The clarity is amazing. I have these as my surround backs. Can't wait for the 70 RT's to arrive to use as my front height speakers.
Pros: Pure audiophile bliss!
Cons: Absolutely none!
