About the Polk Audio Atrium 65SDi
Polk's Atrium 65SDi speaker offers great outdoor sound and exceptional flexibility. It can stand alone as a single stereo speaker, or you can put two together for a high-performance stereo pair. Using one speaker is convenient for listening in a smaller area (like a small deck or patio) or where mounting options are limited. Or use two speakers for fuller sound and better stereo separation in larger listening areas. A simple switch on the back makes it easy to choose between single-speaker or traditional two-speaker stereo. Either way, you'll enjoy clean, rich Polk sound with impressive dynamics.
As always, Polk has taken great care in the design of this versatile speaker. A 6-1/2" long-throw driver with dual voice coils delivers robust bass response, and two 1" dome tweeters dish out crisp, accurate highs. (When using the Atrium65SDi as a single stereo speaker, the dual tweeters and dual voice coils handle the left and right signals independently.) A Power Port vent reinforces the low-frequency output, and the rounded enclosure minimizes diffraction for more open and lifelike imaging.
This tough speaker is built to stand up against harsh weather conditions. The hardware is made of stainless steel for many years of rustproof reliability. The Power Port features a flared "umbrella" diffuser design that meets basic military waterproofing specs (and it acts as a bug screen!). And for outdoor locations that receive direct moisture, use the included Port Plug — it enabled the Atrium 65SDi to pass the rigorous Salt Fog test, proving that this hard-nosed speaker can hold its own against the elements. You even get a rotating rustproof aluminum bracket for easy outdoor wall-mounting.
The Atrium 65SDi comes in either a black or a paintable white finish.

Woofer: The Atrium65SDI uses a dual voice coil mineral-filled polypropylene woofer for clean midrange and deep, accurate bass. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofer uses a butyl rubber surround.
Tweeters: The Atrium65SDI has two 1" metalized dome tweeters. This Dual Tweeter Array features Stereo Tweeter Aiming for excellent imaging, allowing you to use the Atrium65SDI as a single stereo speaker, or as half of a stereo pair.
Enclosure Design
Weatherproof Design: The rugged, mineral-filled polypropylene enclosure features a rustproof aluminum grille, rustproof aluminum bracket, and stainless steel hardware. The Power Port features a Flared "Umbrella" Diffuser design that meets basic military waterproofing specs. With the supplied waterproof Power Port Plug installed, the Atrium65SDI can be mounted anywhere, even out in the open.
Broad Coverage Baffle Design: The sculpted front baffle and rounded enclosure minimize diffraction (sound reflecting off of hard edges) for more open and lifelike imaging.
Power Port: The speaker has a rear-firing Power Port vent for precise, deep bass response. The Power Port vent allows air velocity to slow gradually, which vastly reduces air turbulence and delivers greater bass efficiency than conventional ports. This specially designed Power Port vent also incorporates a bug screen protector.
Connections
Binding Posts: The Atrium65SDI has two sets of gold-plated binding posts that will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, and banana plugs.
Mounting Options
Integrated Mounting Bracket: The integrated rustproof aluminum bracket allows multiple mounting options and full 80-degree rotation. The Atrium65SDI can be mounted either horizontally or vertically and aimed to deliver the best possible sound in a variety of situations.

I have a small outdoor patio and thought it would be overkill to have two seperate speakers in such a small area. I finally found this option, clear full stereo sound out of one speaker, it was a no brainer. I have been enjoying them since they arrived. Would recommend.
