Reference speakers feature low impedance so they extract maximum power from any amplifier or car stereo. Infinity makes their Plus One+ woofers 30% larger than other speakers in the same size category. As a result, you'll enjoy deeper bass and higher efficiency for an impressive performance.
The textile dome tweeters feature oversized voice coils that match the tweeters' diameter, a design that provides more surface area for heat dissipation and allows higher power handling. You can adjust the sound to your liking with the tweeter level control. In addition, you can swivel the tweeters up to 350 degrees, aiming them directly at you for a more focused soundstage. You'll hear smoother, more accurate response, with more sparkle and detail in your music.
Infinity makes sure that your installation stays stress-free by including Intermount III, a proprietary mounting system that allows you to install these 6-1/2" speakers in a variety of 6" to 6-3/4" factory locations. You'll also find adapters that fit many domestic and imported cars.

Features
Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.
Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.
Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.
Textile Dome Tweeters (UniPivot Design): Each speaker uses an edge-driven textile dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs. The UniPivot design allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listeners location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response. The tweeter housing can be turned approximately 315 degrees.
Note: The tweeters are not made to turn 360 degrees. If they are turned 360 degrees or more, they will be damaged.
Tweeter Level Control: A switch on the front of the tweeter allows you to boost the tweeter output 3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed.
True Four Ohm Impedance Technology: The speaker's 2.65-ohm impedance combined with the impedance of your speaker wire provides a true 4-ohm load to your connected head unit or amplifier.
Mounting: Infinity's mounting system allows the 6022i speakers to fit in 6-1/2" and 6-3/4" applications. Metal and plastic adapter rings are included for each speaker.
