Edge-driven silk dome tweeters

Infinity employs an edge-driven design in their silk dome tweeters for a smoother, more open response and minimal distortion at high volume. Each tweeter also features a level control button so you can adjust the brightness to your taste. And the plate design with its separate woofer and tweeter gives you the sonic advantages of separate components in a format that's easy to install.

Plus One+ woofer technology

Kappa's glass fiber woofer will hold its shape when the power's cranked up, so you still get punchy and defined bass. Glass fiber weighs less than traditional materials, so you don't need a ton of power to drive this woofer either. Infinity's Plus One+ woofer technology extends the cone right up to the edge of the basket, giving you lots of surface area — and a bigger cone means more bass to complement the superior high-frequency response.

Awesome power handling, no matter the system

These 3-ohm speakers boast ultra-high sensitivity so that you can power them with a factory radio or aftermarket stereo, but you'll get your best results feeding them plenty of power from an outboard amp. Features

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

High-Output Design: The high output 3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extracts every watt from factory receivers, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4Ω speakers). The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers, designed to power a 3Ω load.

Edge Driven Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has an edge-driven silk dome tweeter. Edge-driven tweeters have better dispersion characteristics and allow for a lower crossover frequency than typical tweeters of the same size, which improves imaging. The result is improved vocals and musical clarity. The tweeter also has an output level switch; choose +0 dB (flat) or -3 dB.

I noticed the speaker depth, particularly magnet depth, is a problem with a 2005 Silverado 1500 (with regular cab). You had mentioned it is possible with some vehicle modification to accommodate the additional 1/4 inch. modification that would be necessary to make these fit. I wondered if you could tell me specifically what has to be modified? Obviously cutting through a fairly small bracket is easier than a larger, thicker piece of metal. Thanks!

Greetings Paul, and thank you for your question. There is an inner porting behind the mounting surface that looks to be an easy trim if you have a Dremel tool. It would not take much to fit these Kappa's in.

Greetings Jeff, and thank you for your question. Technically the magnet of the Kappa 463XF is about a quarter of an inch bigger then we had measured on the vehicle for an easy fit. Our site will say no, they do not fit, but if your okay with a little modifications on the vehicles side, you could get them in.

i see they are 4x6 speakers but as stated in another comment it might not fit due to the depth of the speaker. i dont know if they will fit in a 1997 lesabre in the dash up front. also i cant find an amplifier to feed them the exact rms value?

Will this fit my 2000 Chevy s10 dash corner speaker location?

Greetings Oliver, and thank you for your question. Technically easy? no. They are like most aftermarket speakers, too deep, and because of the offset magnet on the bass driver on a plate speaker, its going to hit something in the dash. GM only gave the S10 1.5 inches of depth to work with in the dash. To put anything in there it will be a little more work.
