Product Research

Features

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

Edge Driven Dome Tweeters: Each speaker has an edge-driven silk dome tweeter. Edge-driven tweeters have better dispersion characteristics and allow for a lower crossover frequency than typical tweeters of the same size, which improves imaging. The result is improved vocals and musical clarity. The tweeter also has an output level switch; choose +0 dB (flat) or -3 dB.

UniPivot Tweeter: The tweeter is angled and can be rotated about 315° after installation. This allows you to direct the tweeters toward the listeners, very useful for speakers mounted low in a door.

High-Output Design: The high output 3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring and extracts every watt from factory receivers, increasing overall system output and efficiency (relative to 4Ω speakers). The speakers also benefit from increased power when you upgrade the wire and add aftermarket amplifiers, designed to power a 3Ω load.

Terminals: The input terminals are set screws that will accept up to 12 gauge bare wire.

Mounting Applications: These speakers are marketed as 6½"; they will fit in many standard 6½" speaker openings (just over 5" diameter), but do not use the standard 6½" speaker bolt pattern. In order to install them in standard 6½" speaker openings you must drill new screw holes. If new holes are drilled in the mounting surface of the car, no bracket is needed. If drilling in the car is not an option, the included brackets can be used, which have standard 6½" mounting holes and the Ford non-symmetric four hole pattern, as well as other non-standard patterns. When using the brackets the depth becomes 1.892" and the mounting height becomes 1.068".

Q
what should I set this at 0db or -3db tweeter output level control on Infinity Kappa 63XF because it is on the door and will be hard to change the setting. What is 0 and what is -3 ?
mike  Jun 09, 2025
1 answer
A
That's a tweeter output level controller and the setting to use will vary from person to person based on their preferences in regards to treble. If you often turn down the treble, then we recommend setting it to -3dB to start

Q
Will these speakers fit in the rear deck of a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe EXL V6?
stephen  Dec 05, 2024
1 answer
A
The Infinity Kappa 63XF speakers are not a fit in the rear deck location of your 2013 Honda Accord Coupe, Stephen. To see speakers that are a confirmed fit, enter your vehicle details into our online Vehicle Guide in the link below and we will list all speakers that are a good fit! https://www.crutchfield.com/m_399/Car-Speakers.html

Q
In a 2022 Nissan Leaf, can I use the Infinity Kappa 603CF to replace the woofers and tweeters in the front and these speakers in the rear? Would these have more or less identical sound to the 603CF's woofers?
jimmy  Nov 23, 2024
1 answer
A
Greetings James thank you for your question. If you are asking about the Kappa 63XF, they are a 2 way and a match for the Kappa 603CF, however the bass response is not as good as a component woofer will have.

Q
will these be a good upgrade for my 2023 Hyundai Tucson with non-Bose system and stock amp? if not what would be best for my car
harrison  Nov 12, 2024
1 answer
A
The non-Bose system would need a component speaker to replace the front door woofers and tweeters like the Infinity Kappa 603CF speakers: www.crutchfield.com/p_108K603CF/item.html

Q
Will they fit my 2019 hybrid rav4 xle?
alexander giterman  Oct 25, 2024
1 answer
A
The mounting height on these speakers is greater than what we can get installed into your Toyota. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on speakers that meet your audio goals that can also fit and work
jason  Oct 25, 2024 (Staff)
Q
Why wonâ??t they fit in my 2023 civic sedan?
frank  May 30, 2024
1 answer
A
Hey Frank, its the mounting height on that speaker that is going to give you problems. Essentially the tweeter extends 1/4" past where it can before it comes into contact with the speaker grille. You may be able to customize the bracket needed to install the speaker to lower it down a bit more but that is something that would be beyond Crutchfield's guidance.

eugene  Nov 29, 2022

Grilles are not available for the 63XF.

Q
Will these overload stock amplifier (2021 Honda Odyssey Touring - 7 speaker) wich support 4 ohm speakers?
thomas  Nov 03, 2022
1 answer
A
Using those Infinity speaker's 3 ohm load on your factory system would be perfectly find and not cause any harm.

Q
Do these speakers sound good without an amp?
landon  Apr 30, 2022
2 answers
A
The Kappa 63Xf sound is a definite improvement They will have a much richer sound ,even without an amp, I do recommend using sound skins around the speaker ,and applying sound deadening material to the interior of your auto door to truly reap the long term benefit of these speakers..
troy  May 02, 2022

Yes, my friend has them in his 2021 Subaru STI. We did sound treatment on all the doors they sound good no distortion on factory head unit. Mid bass is decent, they really do need to be amplified though, they can take a lot of wattage.

Q
How does this model compare to the 62IX?
christopher  Feb 23, 2022
2 answers
A
I've never heard the 62IX's but did run the 62.11i's which I believe were the previous generation. The 63XF sound better to my ear. The main difference is noticeably more bottom end while still getting loud and staying clear. They're fantastic sounding speakers.that said, I run them in a Harley fairing and think there are probably better choices for my application (at this price point). In a car they're probably hard to beat.
