Switch-Selectable Impedance

This powerful sub gives you versatility, too, thanks to Infinity's innovative dual-impedance switch that lets you choose a 2- or 4-ohm load impedance option. The “SSI” system lets you reconfigure your sub at the flip of a switch – something you can't do with ordinary marine subwoofers – so it always fit in your system as it evolves.

Pick a color

When you buy Infinity Kappa speakers, great sound is a given. But this subwoofer also give you attractive RGB LED lighting that'll add style to your boat. Seven cool colors are available out of the box, but with an external lighting controller (sold separately), you can create unique colors that suit your boat and your style.

Ready for the outdoors

Marine audio gear lives a pretty harsh life, with sun, spray, salt, and extreme temperatures, plus the occasional fish that gets loose on the deck. This Infinity sub is ready for all of it, with a one-piece polymer basket, marine-ready componentry, and a sealed, UV-resistant grille that will stand up to spray and punishing sunlight for years to come.

Available in Titanium or White.

Product Research

Features

LED Illumination: Integrated into each grille are red/green/blue LED assemblies, to create a glow on the woofer cone. A 12 volt power supply is needed to turn the LEDs on; depending on what combination of LED wires is connected, they light red, green, blue, yellow, purple, aquamarine, or white. A 4-wire pigtail (14" long) is provided for supplying power to the built-in LEDs.

Switch-Selectable Impedance (SSI): A switch on the input terminal allows you to easily change the woofer's impedance between 2Ω and 4Ω settings. (The connected amplifier should be off when changing the impedance.) The power handling is the same for either setting; 300 watts RMS/900 watts peak.

Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Q
Does the plus one cone feature make this kappa an 11" subwoofer? Is this cone bigger than the reference version?
texasmojo  Dec 05, 2022
1 answer
A
The increase in the cone surface area of the Plus One cone used in the Kappa model is greater than the surface area of a standard 10" cone like the one used in the reference model. It is not enough of an increase to classify it as an 11" subwoofer as it does not need more space than a 10" sub but is enough to make a noticeable change from similar subs without the Plus One cone.

Q
What are the dimensions? - I know it is a 10" but what is the depth?
luke  Jan 24, 2023
1 answer
A
Not all 10" speakers will have the same dimensions, and this is important Luke. Mounting depth on the KAPPA1050MAM is 4.85". Your exact hole cutout measurement for this speaker is 9.26".

Q
Is this subwoofer designed for free air operation only?
cody  Aug 17, 2022
1 answer
A
This subwoofer could technically be mounted into a proper subwoofer enclosure, but there is no requirement or recommendation in terms of box volume. Sound quality with this sub should be unaffected by the size of its enclosure or mounting environment.
