Infinity REF1070
Gary from Live Oak, TX on 2/17/2023
I wasn't sure my Amp was powerful enough to really drive these (2) Speakers ; especially since I mounted them in Sealed boxes. But, they sound really good to me; hits those Low Low Notes and they will go much louder than I'll ever use. I'm pleased with my purchase. Gary

best deal for class

These subs are very well built and super tight. I like the switchable resistance. I have two 10"s in a dodge truck box with .5 cuFt of space. They hit hard and tight with my kicker C800 set at 600W 2ohm. They sound great and im not worried about my wife playing with the bass settings as I have ran them through the ringer so far and they just shrugged it off and boomed at me.
Pros: Well Built, Solid. Stiff woofer cone Tight assembly Switchable impedance honest 250wRMS+
Cons: did not come with gaskets plastic impedance switch housing detracts from overall quality, is functional, but i would like to see a more positive action on the switch and brighter markings for ohm selection

Great Free Air Option

I installed this in the factory position on a 2006 Honda Pilot using the Alpine KTA-200M Power Pack and the Alpine iLX-W650 head-unit with the sub on the 2 ohm setting. Given that my space was more of a "free air" application, Crutchfield recommend this. It sounds much better than the first speaker I put in, which was designed for an enclosure. Great recommendation.
Pros: Free Air 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm

Simply amazing and very clean sound!
William from BOISE, ID on 6/26/2020
Built a ported 1.5 cu. ft. box and powered with the Sony XAV-AX7000 in subwoofer direct mode at 2 ohms. Was worried that it would not produce enough sound when I did the design, but as it turns out it's plenty of super high quality bass that sounds warm and doesn't sound boomy or overbearing. Plays super low frequencies easily. Hatchback box for the win! Paired up with 4 Infinity Reference 6.5" 2-Way door speakers. Goal was to do the whole system without cutting a single factory harness and without having to do a separate amplifier. Success!
Pros: High sensitivity produces more sound with less power. Switchable impedance. Superb sound.
Cons: None whatsoever!

I bought two of these 6 months ago. I have them matched to a Alpine PDX v9 amplifier at 2 ohms. At low volume one of them is already producing noticeable distortion. I may be to blame or the manufacturer may be to blame, I am hard on speakers... anyways I'm going to have to remove both of them and start doing research and find two new replacements. Prior to this problem I would have to say I wasn't very pleased with these speakers, I was always trying to push them to where I was happy . I've always been interested in car audio and installed systems in all my vehicles over the last 30 years. These subwoofers looked like they were well built but... I will be moving on

The ohm selection feature is definitely nice. I am running two of these powered by an Infinity 4555A which is also powering two sets of Infinity Primus 6.5" coaxial speakers. Nice clean sound all around at reasonable price.

Speaker sounds good. Like the selectable ohm. Was able to drop in to OEM location but needed to fabricate a plate in order to make it fit and be able to be screwed down
