Negligible Upgrade
Shane from LOUISVILLE, KY on 5/27/2025
2021 Kia Rio
Had 1 blown 2021 Kia Rio S - front speaker, so thought I would upgrade my daughters sound system all at once. These speakers are NOT an upgrade to the OEM speakers as they produce no higher quality sound. I'm not sure why all the reviews are saying what an upgrade they are but they screwed me over by reading them. Instead of ordering 1 OEM factory replacement for less, I ordered 4 of these to change all 4 mid speakers. I actually do like infinity but can't be impressed when there is no difference or when after market speakers can't beat cheap OEM ones.
Pros:
Cons: No better sound than Kia OEM Not holding up to Infinity mid-range line

What an upgrade! The free harness clips made it for a flawless plug n play install. My 89 Jeep XJ Wagoneer never sounded so good. The bass is perfect once you balance the EQ. Plus they're small speakers but really pack a great balanced sound.

I'm always happy with Infinity
Jordan from Church Hill, TN on 12/10/2024
1995 Honda Civic
I installed these as rear deck speakers in my 1995 Honda Civic EX. In my case they did the job I needed them to do. They replaced some very old and cheap Pioneer speakers. Absolutely no trimming required, they dropped right into place and are clear and precise. Not very loud, but I wasn't expecting them to be very loud for 5¼" speakers so far away from the driver seat. I'm sure these speakers would benefit from a 4 channel amp, but overall I'm happy with them.
Pros: Clean and clear sound without distortion
Cons: Quiet, but that's mostly due to size. An amp would bring these to life.

Good overall sound, very smooth tweeter

1991 Mazda Miata
I wanted a good quality speaker that would drop into the stock speaker opening on my 1991 Miata. These replaced a slightly larger pair of component speakers to avoid cutting up the doors - again. The older speakers were well regarded component speakers but I always found the tweeters a bit harsh. These Infinity speakers have a very smooth sounding tweeter that is much more pleasant. The overall sound is really good as well. I traded away a little bass with the smaller speaker size but in a noisy old Miata you cannot hear the bass well anyway :-)
Pros: Drop in fit Wonderful, smooth textile dome tweeter Good overall sound
Cons: 5.25" driver is not a bass monster

Great for the size
James from Boulder, CO on 11/13/2024
Really great. Surprisingly good lows for their size and I can crank them fairly high without distortion. Looking forward to adding a sub so I can eq the lows away from these and really let them shine.
Pros: Excellent tonal range for the size. Sound amazing even with fairly low power (25W)
Cons: No grills means I had to throw some old Kicker grills on with my custom installation.

These speakers have a very clear sound compared to other speakers I have used. The different instruments are more distinct. They also seem a little louder, maybe the slightly lower impedance is helping there?
Pros: Very good sounding

Higher efficiency than stock speaker in Ioniq 5, creates low end punch w/o boominess. Slight mod needed to fit in rear doors, but after using mounting bracket supplied from Crutchfield, went smoothly enough

Impressive sound quality upgrade.

2006 Toyota Highlander
Installed in a 2006 Toyota Highlander with a Boss Apple-play stereo. These in the back door, Infinity separates in the front door. Car sound has gone from good transistor radio to quality audio system. Sound quality is what I would have expected in a more expensive speaker. Front speakers were an easy install but did require some wire cuts and splices. I had to call Crutchfield for tech support. They handled it quickly in minutes. It took me an hour to install and reassemble the door panel in front. Rear speaker were easier. Plug and play. I had both doors done and reassembled in 35 minutes. Very pleased with the whole process.

Installation was straight forward but I had to use new screws than the ones sent with the speakers . Sound is decent but lacks Bass.
Pros: Fit was good once I used different screws .
Cons: Sound is not the best but a vast improvement over the 22 year old stock speakers .
