You won't believe how much sound comes out of this tiny amp. JBL's Apex PA1502 puts out two channels of 100 watts RMS from a chassis that's smaller than a shoe. It'll fit in almost any little nook or cranny on your UTV, motorcycle, or boat, bringing the joy of music to your outdoor fun.

Versatility and control

You can also use this amp in bridged 1-channel mode to power a sub with 300 watts RMS. Selectable high- and low-pass filters let you tune the signals to match your speakers and subs, while a bass boost adds punch to the low end. The tough aluminum chassis and conformal-coated circuit boards protect the amp against the weather. The controls are protected behind an aluminum panel.

Auto Turn-on: When using speaker level inputs, the DC offset circuit in the amp senses when a signal is present and turns the amp on automatically.

Control Panel: The control panel is protected by a cover to help keep the controls dry, and to prevent unwanted adjustments.

Input Level: 2-position switch; select High (speaker level) or Low (preamp level)
Gain: rotary control; variable from 200mV to 6V with the input level switch in the low position and 500mV to 15V with the input level switch in the high position
Crossover:
- X-Over: 3-position switch; select High Pass, Off (full-range), or Low Pass

No, when bridged, this amplifier is only 4 -ohm stable.

Can this be installed in a jeep wrangler to improve sound quality?

If you replace the speakers with some that can handle around 100 watts RMS, then it can work. If you want to keep the factory speakers installed, this is too powerful for them. We have other options to improve sound with stock speakers in some of the Wranglers. I recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to check for possible upgrades for your specific Wrangler

Yes, this amplifier has a weather and moisture resistant aluminum chassis. It is designed for marine, power sports, UTVs, or motorcycles.

In electronics, power equals current multiplied by voltage. Therefore 300 Watts is equal to 14 Volts times 25 Amps, the rating of the included fuse. Amplifiers can be highly efficient however the math here represents an amplifier that is perfect 100%, how can this be?

14 x 25 = 350. This amplifier is a compact class D amplifier. When you are running it 2-ohm in 2 channel mode or bridged to a single channel at 4-ohms. it is rated for 100 watts RMS. That is 85% efficient, as 350 x 0.85 = 300, which is about par for a class D amplifier.

It is a class D amplifier, and is designed to not get as hot. It should however still be given airspace to breathe.
