Loud enough. :)

Much louder than my factory speakers. Sound is clear and defined with factory radio and no amp or eq to work with at the moment. Can't wait to hear them with a real stereo....which WILL come from Crutchfield, based of years of good experiences.

Sound very good in my Volvo

Speakers sound much better than the factory door speakers on my 2012 Volvo S80. (with standard factory stereo) The bracket and wiring adapter that Crutchfield sent with, for my car worked out well and made this about an hour install per door. Definitely recommend!

Awesome bass, very clean tone. Perfect for OEM replacements

I was looking for a set of speakers to replace my stock OEM speakers. My aftermarket iDoing head unit (which I've already had in my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV for about a year) blew out one of the original factory door speakers because it was too powerful for them, so I figured I should replace all four at the same time. I also paired these up with Kicker tweeters. These speakers are amazing! Very clean, vibrant sound. They also pack a TON of bass, more than I would ever need actually (for the light/moderate type of listening I do in my car). They're being directly driven by the iDoing head unit-- I don't have an amplifier, a subwoofer, or anything crazy like that. I also don't turn up the volume too high where the entire car is quaking under my feet. I normally listen to classic rock/video game music/techno. One thing to note is, at first you may hear a bit of minor distortion in your music. That's completely normal, the speakers are just "breaking in". After a few days, the distortion goes away. Also, quick note: the picture I have below is from before I installed speaker baffles/sound insulation. I'm still new at car audio, so I forgot to incorporate this the first time around. I now have proper sound insulation installed. Overall, I'm really enjoying my purchase, and I'm sure these speakers would make all your music sound great, no matter what you like (country, hip hop, classical, jazz, etc.). Definitely recommended. :)

These are definitely a nice upgrade over stock. As soon as you unpack these speakers and look at them side by side the difference in quality is clear. The bass definitely sounds crisper and the lows are more clear than before. Crutchfield shipped these and I had them from order to my door in under 48 hours. With the wiring harness they included the installation was a breeze. Will be buying the next audio components I need from them in the future.

If you got a decent factory radio this speaker will make your sound feel like you got a good amp and if you install a woofer the sound it's amazing. They fit the car just as described Crutchfield, does make the research for you and no need to buy from other places that don't do the pre work for you. Plus you got the costumer support and they really know what they are doing.

Not for 2006 Toyota Sequoia rear doors w/ JBL

Speakers seem fine but won't work on the back doors of a 2006 Toyota Sequoia with the JBL system - the frame of the speaker runs into the connection port that goes through the raised mounting for the speaker - no trimming tabs or rotating the speaker allowed the frame to fit centered on the mounting

Great Speaker for the Money...doesn't "fit" without modification

5- Stars for the speakers. They are clean and crisp sounding for the price. The bass is actually decent as well. Definitely an improvement over OEM, but nothing drastic. These are however, not plug and play for my 2021 Ridgeline. The frame of the speaker blocks the mounting screw hole on the provided brackets from Crutchfield. I had to get out the Dremel and modify the speakers to fit. No cool especially since Crutchfield says "they fit" The included screw kit is totally worthless. It comes with 2 inch screws that stick out beyond the mounting bracket not allowing it to be reinstalled in the door.

Great Buy!

These were amazing replacements for stock speakers I purchased the 621F for my rear doors in a 2017 Silverado, although I didn't install an amp the sound was so clear and bass was smooth. The DIY adapter plates Crutchfield sells with the speakers are so easy to use plug and play!

Lot of the hardware wasn't used for this installation, the little screws didn't have screwdriver cut outs they were flat so no way of using . The metal clips were either too short or too long to be used in some places. I did use some in the rear deck speakers but had to be careful where I placed them. All in all it all worked out OK. The pigtails were great they made it easy to hook up the speakers! Really like the sound of the JVC speakers will order some for my other vehicle in the future.

Great speakers, incorrect hardware

Speakers are great in my 2019 Subaru WRX.. they deserve a 5 star rating. Although, Crutchfield's inability to provide the correct screws and proper instructions of the orientation of the mounting bracket is why I am giving it 2 stars. I contacted Crutchfield and was told said screws are their "generic" screws. If you purchase a kit with the intent of using it, I'd say it's normal to expect the correct hardware.

Cleaner than OEM

2022 Cadillac CT4 - front door install. NOT night and day difference between OEM, but MUCH cleaner sound at higher volumes. For those reviews that have said that these do not produce any bass - perhaps check your EQ settings... I am not a big bass person, but it is there. Nice round out with the JBL Club 622 in the rear door. This install was over a year in the making. Big thanks to Cris Baker and others (Bo, Hogan, Kali, Bonnie, etc.) at Crutchfield for guidance as I struggled with door panels and impedance analysis paralysis. As Cris said, "Cadillac builds a tight buggy." Not kidding, getting the door panels off took the most time on this install. I used baffles - I highly recommend. This car is just over a year old and I could tell there was past moisture on the OEM speakers. Was worried that the windows would hit - installed with windows down. It just clears it (I think I can barely hear the window gently brush up against the baffle when the window goes down).

No Bottom End

Nice highs, but the bottom end is very disappointing. Longtime fan of JBL, but not very happy with these speakers.

Very pleased.

After listening to stock speakers for years, this was an amazing upgrade. The clarity of all my music was significantly better. They are also efficient enough that my older Pioneer head unit (no amp) is now more than enough to hear clearly over the road noise. I usually get Polk speakers but thought I'd try these- no regrets! Info note: It didn't matter in my case, but this part number / version doesn't have a grille.

OEM Replacement

Even better than I thought

These are replacing stock speakers which worked and sounded poor. These are actually a hair louder volume wise and sound considerably better (to me) with no other changes. I actually have no plans for an amp now as these fit the bill just fine. As replacements they have a great bang for the buck even with the stock head unit. If you need to thump and rattle, these might not be the ones. Quite happy.

Not Quite What I Expected

I don't like to give bad ratings, but these speakers warrant a low grade. I wasn't expecting stellar performance from these, just something better than the OEM speakers on my 1998 4Runner. I installed the passenger side door speaker first, then went several months before installing the driver side speaker. I could kind of tell they weren't great, but because I was still hearing my OEM driver side speaker over the new one (since it is so much closer to me), it wasn't obvious how bad the new JBL speaker was. I finally just recently installed the new driver side JBL speaker, and it is very obvious now how bad these are since they're now both installed. My OEM speakers weren't in great shape, but I'll likely be taking these JBLs out, soldering the wires back together on the OEMs, and re-installing them.

Major upgrade

I don't usually leave reviews but these speakers exceeded my expectations. Crutchfield made the instal super easy providing the mounting brackets and wiring adapters. Major sound quality upgrade with good bass compared to the stock speakers especially at higher volume.

Install was a breeze. the install kit and wire harness made it a seemless install. Had to drill 4 holes for the speaker to attach to the car door frame, but that was nothing. They sound amazing. I'm jealous. (it's my wife's car).

Nice Replacement Speakers

Speakers sound great -- so nice to be able to enjoy volume again!! Installation was challenging at first (knew what to do but hadn't done an install since the 80's). The Bojo Trim Panel Tools (recommended) were helpful attempting to not break anything during car door disassembly -- be careful, especially with the window sails. Of note, you *will* need the (free) Metra head screws -- could install the mounting plate to car door with existing screws, but these speakers *do not* come with any, so nothing available to connect speaker to mounting plate. My order showed the screws (as did the invoice), but none were in the box (and I didn't realize it). Don't disassemble your car door if you don't have all the parts!!! Used 4 other 1-¼" screws found after frantic search to install single speaker so door could be reassembled (and car usable again). Later got both speakers installed with Metra screws in front doors. Speakers are 3 Ω where the Elantra factory originals were only 2 Ω so (in my case) the JBLs sound louder at lower volume. And since they're replacements, speaker grills were not needed (i.e., less costly). Afterwards, car rides are more pleasurable for everyone; blown speakers suck. Throughout process from selection, ordering, and troubleshooting, the Crutchfield team was both knowledgeable and helpful.

Great speakers at a great price

Love these speakers, and for what I paid for them they are well worth it! Didn't quite mount up as easy as they said, I have a 99 Toyota Camry, and the mounting bracket fit but not quite right. I could get two of the screws in the existing holes but had to drill a hole for the third, but was simple.

Great highs

2006 ram quad cab rear doors. Practically zero bass from these speakers but that's probably due to the factory amp settings. Super clean highs and blend well with my system.

James Bullough Lancing speakers are great!

I am a 66 year old Jazz musician. JBL has always been a clean, clear sounding speaker. These Concert 621F speakers are great sounding! They are no exemption to what JBL has produced in the past. Easy to install if you know what you are doing. I would recommend these to anyone that wants to upgrade their sound without having to upgrade their stereo system. Much better than the factory speakers. (2014 Hyundai Elantra). Crutchfield is a great company to deal with. Arrived quickly and everything was as they advertised!

I also purchased a set of matching 6 x 9's for my 2021 Jeep grand Cherokee. Similar to that review the speaker is much cleaner, the mid range is more defined while bass is significantly tighter. Having high sensitivity yields greater output, (spl) therefore I can crank it up with out distortion.

This was an excellent replacement for my OEM speakers. I could not believe how much of an improvement they have made, and I'm only halfway done with my install at this point! I purchased these to replace a few blown speakers in my car, mainly because I couldn't get them loud enough to hear over the general road noise of the WRX. I used to run my system at 35-40 just to hear, however, with just a single pair of these installed, I'm easily able to hear music at 30. I can't imagine how much more the sound will improve when I have 2 more installed. I agree with everyone who has upgraded speakers and kept the stock head unit in the WRX -- my next purchase will most likely be a new head unit so these speakers will sound even better.

Sounds like tin, spacing on screw holes was a PAIN due to them not lining up with factory screw holes in 1999 Toyota Tacoma extended cab. Brackets that were sent with speakers also did not work, had to manufacture custom brackets and countersink the screw holes to attach it to original bracket so that the speakers would not rock and vibrate. Original speakers handled the new stereo better. If it wasn't for the 6-8 hours I spent custom manufacturing and deciphering how to get these mounted correctly in the vehicle I would send them back.

I have had these installed in the rear of my 2015 Honda Odyssey for about 8 weeks now. Initially had them just running off the stock HU and was very disappointed with the sound quality. Added an amp about 2 weeks ago and replaced the stock sub with a Kicker 8". The audio in my van now sounds awesome! I was blown-away how much of an improvement was made after adding an amp to run these speakers. I find myself preferring to drive this car over my 2018 Grand Cherokee frequently just because the audio is so great. Very satisfied.
