Water, Dust, & Drop Proof (IP68): The JBL Flip 7 Bluetooth speaker features a rugged rubberized housing and a durable fabric material grille which will hold up indoors and outdoors. The Flip 7 is water, dust, & drop proof with an IP67-rating, meaning no more worrying about rain, spills, dust, or drops. You can even submerge the Flip 7 in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, or even drop it from 1.0 meter onto a concrete floor without damaging the speaker.

• The Flip 7 can only be submerged in water for a short period of time. If the speaker is playing and then submerged in water, it will sound muffled, as anything submerged in water would sound like. Submerging the speaker more than 1 meter and for more than 30 minutes will damage the speaker as the water will penetrate through the waterproof barriers due to pressure.
• To ensure the JBL Flip 7 is waterproof, please remove the USB-C cable and do not charge the Flip 7's battery while it is being exposed to water or other liquids. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in permanent damage to the speaker and power source.

2-Way Driver Design: The Flip 7 delivers powerful JBL sound with exceptional clarity thanks to its 2-way driver design, built-in 30 watt amplifier, and dual passive radiators. The JBL Flip utilizes a 2-way driver design, featuring a 0.625" dome tweeter and 1.75" x 3" racetrack cone woofer for full-range sound. The 2-way driver system is powered by a built-in 30 watt amplifier that delivers 25 watts to the woofer and 10 watts to the tweeter. Dual 1.75" passive radiators help the compact speaker generate more bass and low-end frequency response for a fuller sound.

• AI Sound: JBL's AI Sound Boost analyzes your music in real-time to deliver maximum acoustic performance with less distortion. The result is clearer bass even at max volume with crisper higher frequencies - adding more depth to the speaker's sound.
• Auracast: If you want even bigger sound, the integrate of Auracast allows you to wirelessly pair two Flip 7 speakers for stereo sound; or wirelessly connect multiple Flip 7 speakers and other Auracast enabled JBL speakers to create a huge listening sound stage. The same music will be played on all Auracast wireless connected speakers.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The JBL Flip 7 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.4 with support for wireless audio (A2DP 1.4), control (AVRCP 1.6), and Secure Simple Pairing (SSP). You'll be able to stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer) to the JBL Flip 7.

• Playback Control: You can control Play, Pause, & Skip functions from the speaker. However, you will still continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation and to view song/artist information.
• Multi-Device Pairing: The Flip 7 can pair with multiple devices and keep two devices connected at the same time, so you can easily switch back and forth between your connected Bluetooth devices. Once paired, the JBL Flip 7 will automatically re-connect with the last paired device when in wireless range (up to 33').

JBL Portable App: Use the JBL Portable App (for Apple iOS or Android OS) to get the most out of the JBL Flip 7 and unlock more features. You'll be able to personalize and control the Flip 7 speaker from the JBL Portable App on your compatible smartphone or tablet device. You can fine-tune the sound with multiple EQ preset options or use a fully customizable EQ to adjust highs, mids, and lows individually. The JBL Portable App is also used to enable Stereo and Party modes. In addition, software updates for the speaker are done through he JBL Portable app.

USB-C Port: The JBL Flip 7 is outfitted with a USB-C port for connection to your laptop or tablet featuring a USB output, so you can listen to your digital music library stored on a device. A USB-C cable is required and sold separately (see Accessories Tab). Use a USB-C cable that is 4' or less for best performance. Make sure you have the latest software version (1.9.0.1 or later) of the JBL Portable app installed on your Apple iOS or Android OS device.

Rechargeable Battery: The JBL Filip 7 Bluetooth speaker has a built-in lithium-ion polymer rechargeable battery that provides up to 12 hours of playback time. The built-in lithium-ion polymer battery is rated at 17.28Wh (equivalent to 3.6V/4800 mAh). Battery life will vary by volume level and audio content. If the speaker will not be used for a long period of time, please recharge the battery at least once every 3 months.

• Playtime Boost: Simply tap Playtime Boost to prolong the playtime, adding up to 2 hours to your battery life for up to 16 hours of playback time. Playtime Boost tunes and optimizes the speaker's performance for longer playing time.
• USB-C Charging: The battery can be recharged using the speaker's USB-C port and a 3rd party USB/AC power adapter and cable (sold separately) or a free USB port on your computer. A full battery charge takes approximately 2.5 hours @ 5V/3A.

Mounting & Carry Options: The JBL Flip 7 portable Bluetooth speaker can play from either a vertical or horizontal position, so you can place it in a variety of locations for great sound. Its compact design fits easily into a backpack and it also includes a carry-strap & carabineer, so you can take it anywhere with you. The carry-strap and carbineer easily snap on and off the speaker (only one can be used at a time).
