Features

Modular Design: The JBL Fuse features 2 individual subwoofer enclosures that can operate as one compact unit, or as 2 separate enclosures, allowing them to be mounted in different locations if needed. Each of the 2 "halves" contains a shallow-mount 8" driver and a 4x6" passive radiator, capable of producing deep bass while eliminating the need for a larger ported enclosure. Two mounting feet are provided for installing the two subwoofers as a single unit. This allows it to sit up-right, taking up minimal floor or trunk space. If mounting separately, the feet are removed and each individual enclosure will lay flat on the mounting surface. Hardware is provided for both mounting methods.

Wiring: Each of the two individual enclosures includes its own pair of spring-clips that can accommodate speaker wire up to 14 ga. in size. If the subwoofer is installed as one unit, both sets of terminals can be parallel wired for a 2Ω load. If installing as two separate enclosures, each will provide a 4Ω load.

Power: The JBL Fuse can handle 200W RMS/600W peak power when wired in a 2Ω configuration. It has a frequency response of 30-200Hz and a sensitivity of 90dB.

Dimensions:

  • Single Unit (Both subs docked together):
    • Width: 13.75"
    • Height: 10.75"
    • Depth: 7.75"
  • Separate Units (Each):
    • Width: 13.75"
    • Height: 2.75"
    • Depth: 10.50"

Customer Q&A

16 questions already asked

Q
Where do these fit at? Under front seats?
terry  Nov 08, 2024
1 answer
A
Both of those could be options, depending on the vehicle. We sometimes have measurements of spaces in the vehicle to help check if this can fit. I recommend contacting an advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check if we have that information on your vehicle.

Q
Can I seperate these and use one in each of my cars?
brian  Oct 13, 2024
1 answer
A
Greetings Brian. Excellent question. Yes. Each one is identical, and has the speaker wire terminals. Each one is 4 ohms, and is looking for 100 watts each.

Q
I have looked through the previous questions but do not see an answer for my question. I have a 2012 GMC Canyon crew cab. Under the back seat is less than 6 inches, and about the same behind the seat. So my question is what is the individual mounting depth?
lance  Jun 21, 2023
1 answer
A
I would be happy to help, Lance. Listed in the specifications is the separate unit measurements which I have copied below for you. Separate Units (Each): Width: 13.75" Height: 2.75" Depth: 10.50" The JBL Fuse pair is slim when un-docked and can fit in some pretty tight spaces for impressive bass!

Q
Do the separated speakers have screw holes to mount them vertically to a surface?
devin  Mar 21, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Devin, and thank you for your question. Each subwoofer has 4 screw holes under the grills for surface mounting on the floor, or a side panel.
thomas  Mar 21, 2023 (Staff)
Q
is the 7 3/4" depth individual or combined?
andrew  Jan 06, 2023
1 answer
A
7-3/4" is the depth of the two units combined.
zachary  Jan 07, 2023 (Staff)
Q
The specs state that wiring them separately produces 4 ohm resistance. Can these be wired separately, in parallel, for 2 ohm?
gary  Jun 15, 2022
1 answer
A
Greetings Gary, and thank you for your question. JBL Fuse Each is individual enclosures, each its own pair of spring-clips that can accommodate speaker wire up to 14 gauge in size. If the subwoofer is installed as one unit, both sets of terminals can be parallel wired for a 2ohm load. If installing as two separate enclosures, each will provide a 4O load, and if wired in parallel will have a 2 ohm load as well.

Q
What is the best amp to run these?
tommy  Dec 16, 2021
1 answer
A
Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.
kenneth  Dec 18, 2021 (Staff)
Q
How splash resistant are these? For example, do they have paper cones or poly cones? I was wondering about whether each half could be used behind a seat in a UTV.
john  Jul 18, 2021
1 answer
A
I don't think they're water rated but they do have poly cones. Water might get in through the inputs unless you seal them.
andrew  Jul 18, 2021
Q
Would this sub setup handle the 2ohm - 300w out put of the Alpine S-A55V (Item # 500SA55V)?
myron  Feb 10, 2021
1 answer
A
That amp outputs more power than we recommend giving this subwoofer system and do not recommend using them together. We have advisors that can be reached by calling 1-800-324-9695 who can discuss your goals to give a personal recommendation on a setup for our vehicle
jason  Feb 28, 2021 (Staff)
Q
Is it 200 watts total or 200 watts each?
tyler  Dec 02, 2020
1 answer
A
200 watts RMS total. So 100 watts each.
thomas  Dec 16, 2020 (Staff)
Q
Do they run 200rms each or is that just combined total? Unsure which amp to pair with these!
jason  Nov 30, 2020
1 answer
A
That is the combined total RMS watts for the two subs. An amp that outputs 200 watts RMS at 2 ohms will be perfect to power them. We have advisors that you can reach by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on an amp and all the installation parts to get it up and running in your vehicle
jason  Dec 14, 2020 (Staff)
Q
Does this sub need a mono amp to power it?
josh  Aug 10, 2020
1 answer
A
this sub is passive, and will require an amplifier, yes.
