Fantastic Sub at a great price

Great subwoofer. Very tight and musical bass. Matched up with a pair of Magnaplanars. Because it has a 10"woofer it is fast enough to blend while still putting out rock solid bottom end. At the price it is an incredible bargain!
Pros: Very strong and musical bass. With a variable crossover and a phase switch it will work with most any speakers!

Pairs perfectly with my JBL L-52s . Added just the right amount of low-end for my small record room. In fact, I the volume on the sub set pretty low with plenty of power to spare.

Great balance to the L52 Classics

This is a perfect match for our L52 Classics. I've ony about 3 hours on it but what a difference in my small listening room.
Pros: Well defined bass. Matches any of the Classic line from JBL.
Cons: High level speaker in and out would be nice.

Only reason for 4 stars is I wish JBL would've made a more powerful 12" version of this sub. I have it placed in a large room 20'×15' and feel I could use a lil more bass so I may ad a second sub to resolve this. The walnut finish with the gold JBL logo is beautiful! It has a nice warm, classic look and feel. It sounds good and has that quality JBL bass. I bought this sub because of its beautiful finish to match my walnut Klipsch nines and it matched perfectly. To bad Klipsch doesn't make a matching sub.

Cons: May not be adequate for larger rooms. Price.

I got this for my "Small" home office system but after hearing how well it sounds I'm now considering adding a couple of them to my "Big" system in my living room This subwoofer produces a clear deep base that brings the low end to life.

Just What the Doctor Ordered

This is definitely an old school sub with great sound that blends smoothly with the 4 JBL S109 Aquarius IV speakers which I recently acquired. The system is powered by 2 Sonos Amps which are configured for surround sound. Although this is a 4.1 system with a phantom center channel, the sound was so good that I retired the JBL Soundbar 9.1 that I had been using for my entertainment center. If you need some low end and like the styling, then this is a must buy.
Pros: Traditional styling and controls. Spikes included for use on carpet. Lots of power.
Cons: No RCA cable included.

Looks and sounds great! I've always liked JBL speakers and am not disappointed here. The whole house rumbles from the bass.
