After researching many other speakers we chose the JBL PartyBox Encore and so glad we did! We purchased this speaker for using around our pool. It has great quality of sound that is very clear and the extra bass boost is awesome! There is also an optional color/white light effects around the speaker that is a neat added feature when the music is playing. We would definitely give this JBL PartyBox 5 stars!! Purchasing from Crutchfield was also very easy and shipping was fast.

The bass on this speaker makes it worth buying for that alone. I got this speaker at a discounted price of 199.95 and i love the large variety of features on this speaker. This speaker is very customizable in terms of sound and the lights have many different settings as-well. At first i was debating between the JBL pulse 5 and this speaker but after buying i realized this speaker has what that speaker has and much more. Right now they are the same price and i'd 100% recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a high quality entry level speaker. 10/10 from me!

I've been looking to replace my existing blue tooth portable speaker , searching different brands , and finally choice the JBL party box essential which was offered by Crutchfield at a discounted price . The JBL exceeded my expectations with great sound and portability . Will put it to good use this summer . Thanks again Crutchfield for coming through with a great deal !

Small, but mighty!

Really great sound! We used this outdoors for a cookout in a very open, big backyard and it got the job done very well. We didnt have to turn the volume up much at all. I love that it was small enough to tuck into the corner of the deck.
Pros: Very powerful. Volume doesn't need to be up very high.
Cons: Doesn't pair with all JBL PartyBox speakers.

Amazing little box for small parties and weddings, beach u name it this little box can do it.And when u have 2 link together wow!!!!!! Djing could not been so easier being portable and can go any where love this little box small in size Big!!! on sound and the bass is real nice just right gets u in the mood and the light show u can put on is out this world . Must have Jbl party box must have !!!

Not quite as loud as I had hoped, but it does sound very crisp and clean. As for the light, it seems to only be in fast dance party mode all the time, you cannot slow it down to a more relaxed "fade".

Great Bluetooth speaker! Plenty of volume and extremely portable! Light show to keep everyone entertained. The JBL app makes tuning and controlling the speaker really easy.

I preordered this speaker because I wanted a portable speaker and I love music! This speaker is the little brother of the many other party boxes. It's heavy for its size but is very crisp and Crutchfield delivered spectacularlly
Pros: Loud Sturdy feeling Lights! Portability Size
Cons: Battery life isn't as long as other speakers (only 6 hours) Heavy so even though it's portable I wouldn't carry it around all day
