Splashproof & Portable: The JBL PartyBox 520 is splashproof (IPX4 rating) for safe placement on the deck or by the pool (it can handle light water spray). A rubber cover protects the speaker's USB, Aux, and Mic/Guitar inputs. A telescoping handle and smooth-glide wheels make it easy to transport the JBL PartyBox 520 speaker. There is also an integrated carry handle that can be used to pick up the speaker.

JBL Signature Sound: The JBL PartyBox 520 is equipped with two 1" dome tweeters and dual 7.5" cone woofers powered by a built-in 400-watt RMS amplifier for dynamic JBL signature sound with clear highs and deep bass. There is rear-firing port and Bass Boost function which helps enhance the powered speaker's bass performance. Volume, Bass, Treble, and Echo settings can be adjusted from the speaker's top-panel controls.

• AI Sound Boost: AI Sound Boost analyzes the incoming audio signal in real-time while simultaneously using an AI algorithm to predict loudspeaker movement and power response. It pushes the speaker to its maximum capability, fully exploiting the dynamic range for better and more powerful sound. It also reduces distortion even at high volume, maximizing the bass output and overall loudness.
• Multi-Speaker Connection: Multi-speaker connection by Auracast lets you wirelessly pair two PartyBox 520 speakers for a wider stereo sound stage. For your biggest events, multiple JBL Auracast-enabled PartyBox Series speakers can be connected wirelessly for even bigger, louder sound.

Lightshow Effects: The JBL PartyBox 520 features lighting effects that create a dazzling light show synced with the beat of the music. You can choose from a variety of Light Modes (including Neon, Loop, Bounce, Trim, Switch, & Freeze) using the speaker's top-panel control, plus customize the color of the lightshow or have it randomly cycle through all available colors using the JBL PartyBox app (for Apple iOS and Android OS).

JBL PartyBox App: Use the JBL PartyBox app (for Apple iOS and Android OS) to control speaker with your compatible smartphone or tablet device. You'll be able to personalize and control the PartyBox 520 from your compatible mobile device. The app also provides software updates and product support. The JBL PartyBox app also offers playback controls (Play, Pause, & Skip), as well as audio settings (Volume, Bass, Treble, Echo, & Karaoke)

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The JBL PartyBox 520 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.4 with support for wireless audio streaming (A2DP 1.4) and playback control (AVRCP 1.6). You'll be able to stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content on your Bluetooth source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, computer, or laptop) to the PartyBox 520. You'll also be able to control basic playback functions such as Play, Pause, & Skip from the speaker. You will continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation and to view song/artist/album information. You can pair multiple Bluetooth devices with the PartyBox 520, but only one source device can be connected and used for playback at a time.

USB Port: The JBL PartyBox 520 features a USB-C 2.0 port for connection of a USB mass storage class (MSC) device, such as a USB thumbdrive. The PartyBox 520 supports playback of MP3 (8-48kHz; 8-320kbps), WMA (8-48kHz; 5-320kbps), FLAC (8-48kHz; 16-bit), and WAV (8-48kHz; 16-bit) music files loaded onto a compatible USB MSC device formatted in FAT16 or FAT32. The USB-C port can provide 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A, 20V/1.5A for charging a USB-enabled portable electronic device, like your smartphone or tablet.

Aux Input & Output: The JBL PartyBox 520 is outfitted with a stereo minijack 3.5mm Aux input for connecting an external audio source. There is also a stereo 3.5mm minijack analog audio input and stereo 3.5mm minijack analog audio output that can be used to daisy-chain JBL PartyBox & PartyBox Club speakers together to create even bigger sound.

Mic & Guitar Inputs: The JBL PartyBox 520 offers an XLR/1/4" Mic input and an XLR/1/4" Mic/Instrument combo input with corresponding Mic/Instrument selector switch. Both inputs have an independent rotary gain control. You can also enable a Karaoke effect, so you can single along to your music with the recorded vocals attenuated.

• Optional Wired Mic: The JBL PBM100 (sold separately) is a wired dynamic microphone designed for vocal performances and engineered to be used with the JBL PartyBox Series speaker. The PBM100 can be plugged directly into a JBL PartyBox Stage 320 and is ready for use, with no setup required.
• Optional Wireless Mic Kit: The JBL Wireless Microphone Kit (sold separately) lets you add dual hand-held, wireless microphones to the JBL PartyBox Series speaker. Both microphones are pre-paired to the included wireless receiver for plug-and-play convenience. The wireless receiver plugs directly into the PartyBox 520's input jack, and provides a wireless range of up to 33', letting you move around freely while singing or speaking.

Rechargeable Battery: The JBL PartyBox 520 is powered by a 99.02WH lithium-ion rechargeable battery (21.6V/4584mAh) that can provides up to 15 hours of playback time. The included 6.5' detachable AC power cord (C7 unpolarized) plugs into the back of the speaker and can be plugged into an AC wall outlet to recharge the battery. It takes approximately 3 hours to full recharge the battery, while a 10 minute fast charge gives you 2 hours of playback time. The rechargeable battery is replaceable (additional battery sold separately).

Auto Standby: The JBL PartyBox 520 will automatically enter Standby mode after 20 minutes of no audio signal or operation.

Mounting Options: The JBL PartyBox 520 can be positioned on the floor, a table-top, or other stable flat mounting surface. The speaker should always be positioned vertically. Its also features a bottom 35mm opening that is compatible with most tripod-style PA speaker stands (sold separately). To access the 35mm opening, you'll need to remove a plastic cap on the bottom of the speaker.
