3D Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate delivers huge immersive 3D sound thanks to its dual 2.75" dome tweeters, two 4.5" midrange drivers, and to 9" subwoofers - all powered by a 1100 watt amplifier. It offers support for Dolby Atmos Music through select online music services like Tidal via Google Cast, Amazon Music via Alexa, and Apple Music via AirPlay 2 over a wireless network connection (subscription fees will apply). While audio mixed in stereo is limited to left and right channels with elements localized within the horizontal plane, Dolby Atmos Music allows creators to place individual sounds all around you in 3D space for a more immersive and realistic listening experience

• Self Tuning: No matter where you are - indoors or outdoors - the JBL PartyBox Ultimate will automatically tune itself to its surroundings every time you turn it on thanks to its built-in software and microphone array, so you'll always get the best musical experience possible wherever the party takes you.
• Speaker Pairing: You can wirelessly pair two JBL PartyBox Ultimate speakers together via Bluetooth for even bigger stereo sound, or you can wirelessly pair multiple JBL PartyBox Series speakers for an even more immersive audio experience. If you prefer,you can also daisy chain two or more JBL PartyBox Ultimate speakers together using its 3.5mm Input and 3.5mm Output in a wired configuration.

Light Show Effects: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate speaker system features full-panel lighting and strobe effects to create a captivating light show for your party. Transform your space into a captivating, full sensory experience with a huge multi-dimensional light show. It's got a unique starry night effect, cool light trails, strobes, and even lights that project onto any surface it's sitting on. All of it syncs to your music and can be easily controlled via the streamlined, user-friendly dials on the top-panel or through the JBL One app (for Apple iOS and Android OS).

Mic/Guitar Inputs: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate offers a 1/4" Mic and 1/4" Guitar input to really get your party started. The Mic and Guitar input each have an independent gain control.

• Optional Wired Mic: The JBL PBM100 (sold separately) is a wired dynamic microphone designed for vocal performances and engineered to be used with the JBL PartyBox speaker. The PBM100 can be plugged directly into a JBL PartyBox and is ready for use, with no setup required.
• Optional Wireless Mic Kit: The JBL Wireless Microphone Kit (sold separately) lets you add dual hand-held, wireless microphones to the JBL PartyBox speaker. Both microphones are pre-paired to the included wireless receiver for plug-and-play convenience. The wireless receiver plugs directly into your PartyBox's mic jack, and provides a wireless range of up to 32', letting you move around freely while singing or speaking.

USB Port: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate features a USB (type-A) port for connection of a USB mass storage class (MSC) device, such as a USB thumbdrive. The PartyBox Ultimate supports playback of MP3 (8-44.1kHz; 8-320kbps), WMA (8-48kHz; 5-320kbps), and WAV (8-48kHz; 16/24-bit) music files loaded onto a compatible USB MSC device formatted in FAT16 or FAT32. The USB port (rated at 5V/2.1A) can also be used to charge a USB-enabled portable devices, like your smartphone or tablet. *The USB port does not support playback of Apple iOS or Android OS devices.

Aux Input: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate is outfitted with a 3.5mm Aux input for a wired connection of an external audio source device.

Top-Panel Controls: Top-panel controls include Bass & Treble, Echo, Sound Effects, and Bass Boost. You can choose between Drums, Keyboard, Piano, DJ, or Customized. There is also a "Voice Cancel" (Karaoke) mode which attenuates the vocals, so you can sing a solo. Plus, there is an "Echo" mode which adds an echo effect to your audio. The Bass Boos function can be set to Level 1, Level 2, or Off. In addition to audio controls, the top-panel also provides control of the PartyBox Ultimate speaker's Light Show Effects.

JBL One App: The JBL One app (for Apple iOS and Android OS) lets you easily setup and control the PartyBox Ultimate speaker system, personalize EQ settings, customize LED light show, as well as browse the integrated music services using your compatible smartphone or tablet device.

• The JBL One app offers step-by-step guidance to make setting up the JBL PartyBox Ultimate quick and easy. It provides WiFi setup, as well as EQ settings and LED light show customization.
• The JBL One app offers access to Google Cast & Alexa apps; plus lets you personalize your music experience by saving favorite songs, playlists, stations, artists, and albums for quicker and easier access.
• The JBL One app also provides automatic software updates and online product support.

Splashproof & Portable: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate is splashproof (IPX4 rating) for safe placement on the deck or by the pool (it can handle light water spray). A handle and concealed wheels make it easier to transport your JBL PartyBox Ultimate speaker system both indoors and outdoors. To ensure splash resistance, always keep the speaker's protective covers closed securely.

Power Requirements: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate includes a detachable 6.5' AC power cord which plugs into the back of the speaker and into a an AC wall outlet or surge protector (sold separately - see Accessories Tab). *The PartyBox Ultimate is not battery powered.

Wireless Audio

WiFi 6 Certified: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate is WiFi Certified and is equipped with dual-band 2.4/5GHZ WiFi (802.11ax) for a high-performance wireless network connection. To enjoy Amazon Alexa, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast, you will need to connect the PartyBox Ultimate speaker system to your home network's wireless router and ISP (internet service provider). *The JBL PartyBox Ultimate is not equipped with a Ethernet RJ45 LAN jack for a wired network connection.

Amazon Music with Alexa: With the PartyBox Ultimate connected to an Amazon Alexa smart speaker (sold separately), you can use your voice and ask Alexa to stream music from Amazon Music (including Prime & Unlimited), plus other compatible online music services to the JBL Bar 1000 over a WiFi network connection. Through the Alexa app (for Apple iOS and Android OS), you can create multi-room music groups with other Alexa compatible speakers and devices throughout your home. Once you have created these multi-room music groups in the Alexa app, you can use your voice to ask Alexa to play your music on specific groups of speakers.

• Subscription fees will apply for Amazon Music and other online music services.
• You will need to consent to Amazon's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to use Amazon Alexa voice control.

Google Cast: Google Cast lets you cast many of your favorite music apps from your Android or Apple iOS device to the JBL PartyBox Ultimate. You'll be able to cast many of your favorite internet radio stations, online music services, and podcast to the JBL active sound bar speaker system. Simply tap the Cast button from a Google Cast compatible app on your Apple iOS or Android OS device to start streaming to the JBL PartyBox Ultimate. While you are casting, you can still use your phone to answer a phone call, play a game, send a text, and even leave the room - all without interrupting what's playing through the JBL speaker system. Use the Google Home app (for Apple iOS and Android OS) to setup Google Cast on your mobile device and the JBL PartyBox Ultimate PartyBox Ultimate speaker system.

• Music & Radio: Google Cast streams audio directly from the cloud, so you get the 24-bit/96kHz sound quality and the ability to enjoy crystal clear sound exactly the way the artist intended. Google Cast supports FLAC, WAV, AAC, and MP3 music files. Play music from popular music services and search by artist, song, genre, album playlist, mood, or activity. You can also listen to your favorite internet radio stations and podcasts. Compatible music and internet radio apps include Tidal, Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn,, iHeart Radio, YouTube Music, and more (subscriptions and fees will apply). You'll also be able to stream your favorite music, playlists, podcasts, and more that are stored on your compatible Android device to the JBL PartyBox Ultimate. You cannot stream stored content on an Apple iOS device using Google Cast. If you're on your laptop or computer, you can also cast any music streaming website through the Chrome web browser to the speaker.
• Multiroom Audio: The JBL PartyBox Ultimate delivers multiroom audio capability by adding additional JBL Link Series and other Google Cast speakers (sold separately ) to create a whole house audio experience. You can play the same Google Cast compatible music app (like Tidal, Spotify, or Pandora) on all speakers or groups of speakers in different rooms of your home. You'll be able control the multiroom audio system from the Google Home app on your Apple iOS or Android device, or using the built-in Google Assistant and your voice.
• Optional Voice Control: With a Google Home voice-activated speaker (sold separately), you can use your voice to control playback of compatible Google Cast music apps. With a simple voice command, you can play music from Chromecast compatible music services by artist, song, genre, album, playlist, mood or activity. You can also turn up the volume, skip to the next track, or stop the music. *In order to use Google Assistant, you must consent to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

AirPlay 2 with Siri: AirPlay 2 is an advanced and easy-to-use wireless multiroom audio platform for iTunes, Apple Music, and other compatible Apple iOS apps. With AirPlay 2 you can play any audio from your Apple iOS device (running iOS 13.4 or later) or Mac computer (running OS 10.15.4 or later) on the JBL PartyBox Ultimate speaker and other compatible AirPlay 2 speakers throughout your home. You can choose to play audio in one room, play the same audio in grouped rooms, or play the same audio in every room. If you are an Apple Music subscriber, you can even play different music in different rooms (you can control and group directly from Apple's Music App and Home app on your Apple iOS device). You'll be able to ask Siri-enabled devices (like your Apple iPhone, iPad, or Watch) to control playback of your Apple Music content on the speaker system. You can even watch videos and movies from YouTube and Netflix on your compatible Apple iOS device or Mac computer with perfectly synced audio on the JBL PartyBox Ultimate speaker system.

Spotify Connect: The integration of Spotify Connect will enable Spotify Premium users to instantly select and wirelessly stream music to the PartyBox Ultimate speaker system from within the Spotify app (Apple iOS or Android). Spotify is a digital music service that gives you on-demand access to one of the largest music libraries in the world. Spotify makes it easier than ever to discover, manage, and share music with your friends. You can browse music by artist, album, track, or most popular; and create your own music library with customized playlists.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: In addition to WiFi, the JBL PartyBox Ultimate is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.3 with support for wireless audio streaming (A2DP 1.3) and playback control (AVRCP 1.5). You'll be able to stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content on Bluetooth source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, computer, or laptop) to the PartyBox Ultimate. You'll also be able to control basic playback functions such as Play, Pause, & Skip from the speaker. You will continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation and to view song/artist/album information. The speaker has a wireless Bluetooth range of approximately 125'.
