These are awesome! A subwoofer is absolutely necessary. The are crisp, clear and powerful.
Pros:
Cons: 100 percent need a subwoofer.

I was looking for a balanced speaker for movies and music and these deliver. Was skeptical about buying inwall speakers but wow these speakers are amazing! the sound separation is fantastic. very neutral sounding so you can adjust to your liking.

My entrie home theater is made up of the Studio 590's and 530's my centers were the 520C and then I used a 530C, I could not have a another tall 590 center. I took a chance on the studio 6 theater in wall, cut it in and purchased an AT screen to replace my regular fixed screen. This speaker is a huge upgrade to what I had not to mention the better positioning behind the screen instead of low outfront. No other speaker would have matched well with the 5 series. Same materials and compression horn. The 590 R and L sound great with this speaker, the voice clarity and imaging is just HUGE. Imaging with the whole front stage going is like nothing I had before. I do think with the HDI and Revel's lines above this and then the synthesis they should make the studio 6 lower in price to equal the value in the studio 5 series. I am not sure I would do three of these for a front stage wihtou a lot more research. I would probably shop hard for synthesis at that point but you need seperates etc.
Pros: Huge imaging, detail clarity and matching with the studio 5 series. Of axis peformance is fantastic.
Cons: Not the value replacment line of the studio 5 due to the cost.
