Features

Power Output: The JBL Stage A6002 2-channel amplifier delivers 60 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms, and 70 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms. The power output at 4 ohms bridged is 140 watts RMS x 1. The amp's total peak power is 280 watts.

Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuitry for thermal overload, over- or under-voltage (<9V or >16V), and short circuits. The LED on the end of the amp glows red if the amp goes into protection mode.

Controls

Gain: The Stage A6002's rotary gain control let you match the amp's input sensitivity to the output of the source unit. The input sensitivity range of the amplifier 0.2V - 5V for a line-level input, and 0.5V - 12V for speaker-level input. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to set the gain.

Crossover: The amp features a switchable crossover that can be set to Low Pass, High Pass, or Full Range. If set to Low Pass or High Pass, the cutoff frequency can be set between 32Hz and 320Hz. The crossover has a 12dB per octave slope. A small screwdriver is required to adjust the frequency.

Bass EQ: The amplifier's Bass EQ circuit lets you increase the bass output from 0dB to 12dB at 45Hz.

Connections

Terminals: The JBL Stage A6002 uses screw terminals for the +12V power, ground, turn-on (remote) lead, and speaker outputs. The screws can be tightened/loosened with a Phillips-head or flat-head screwdriver (not provided).

Power/Ground: The +12V Power and Ground terminals will accept up to 4-gauge wire. It is recommended that you use a minimum of 10 AWG power wire to the battery, with an in-line 20A fuse installed no more than 18" from the battery terminal. A 10 AWG ground wire (minimum) is also recommended, and attached to a metal area close to the amplifier.

Remote Turn-On: The Remote screw terminal will accept up to 8 AWG wire. Typically, an 18 AWG turn-on lead is included in an amplifier wiring kit.

Speaker Outputs: The amp features screw terminals for connecting two speakers. The amplifier's minimum speaker impedance is 2 ohms in stereo or 4 ohms bridged.

Speaker-Level Input: The amp includes a speaker-level input harness for connecting the amp to a factory radio or aftermarket head unit. You should splice left and right speaker wires from the head unit to the harness and plug the harness into the amp.

Line-Level Inputs: The amplifier is equipped with one pair of RCA inputs for connecting stereo RCA patch cables from the head unit to the amp.

Q
What size woofer goes good with it ?

A
I am running a 8inch with it.

It's not for woofers. This is better for a coaxial speaker, like a 6x9, or smaller, simply to help a factory radio.
[ MICHAEL  Apr 30, 2021 ]
A
Size isn't the issue. Power handling is the key.

I have a single dual voice coil Pioneer 10" subwoofer out of a Chevy Cobalt SS, in a custom built box under the rear seat of my Silverado, running off a Pioneer head unit. It sounds phenomenal for the application. I have no distortion, and the amp runs cool. Each voice coil is running off its own channel off the amp. I'm running the amp just below 50% gain, and the bass on the sub output at 0 most of the time. I've played various genres of music, and couldn't be happier with the sound quality and performance of the amp in general.
