Nice clarity and construction

These are a huge step up from the factory paper cones in my Kia. In my case, I put them in the rear doors. The head unit from the factory is tuned with much less output to the rear, so I got these for their 3 ohm rating, hoping to get a little more sound. I didn't get much. I do get better highs because at least now I'm using a 2- way speaker, but overall I think they're under- powered. They'd sound great with an additional amp. Maybe in the future. But their clarity is really nice. I'm not blown away, but I'm sure it's because they crave more power. Still, I'm pleased.
Pros: Built well. Clear sound.

They don't sound that good for the price. I've bought same brand different models for the front doors for less money and they sound way better

These speakers are pretty amazing. Super detailed without being annoying. Have them hooked up to an old school Eclipse amp and they are clean, clean, clean! I was worried the tweeter might be overly bright, but work great in my 08 Suburban. Plenty of mids and midbass as well. I don't think these get the credit they deserve.

Stop looking, these are the ones.
Jerry from Huntington, NY on 12/8/2023
Tried several sets in the back of my '23 Rav4. finally got these. Very good bass, tweeters are clear and not too bright, mids also clear, and nice and loud. These are the ones in my opinion.
Pros: loud, clear, good bass, nice mids and highs

Simply replaced old stock speakers in Elantra. No other upgrades or modifications. These sound better and are louder. I really liked being able to angle the tweeters up. These weighed about twice as much as the stock speakers and are made with high quality materials.
Pros: high quality materials and sound
Cons: none

I was looking to upgrade the speakers in my Mazda RF MX-5 equipped with the Bose system. I wanted speakers that offered better clarity and definition because at highway speeds even with the top closed, music would sound muddy and end up just adding more random noise to the cabin. And with the top open, forget about it, it was hard to identify what song was playing over the stereo. Because the replacement speakers were going to be played often with the top open, I was looking for speakers that have a brighter sound to overcome wind and outside noise. JBLs tend to be brighter and the Stadium 62Fs have a metal dome tweeter and are able to play up to 40khz. These also have an 2.7 ohm impedance is a close match to the stock 2 ohm impedance. The glass fiber woofer cone material was definitely going to be more rigid than the paper cones of the stock speakers for improved bass and midrange clarity and definition. After removing the stock woofers and comparing with the JBLs, the difference in construction quality and materials was obvious. The JBL basket and magnet are much beefier. The cone is stiffer. The woofer surround is butyl rubber vs foam which will deteriorate. Since I already had the door cards off, i took the time to treat the doors with butyl mats and CCF mats. The end result was a significant improvement in sound quality - better highs, mids and bass. Now I am able to actually make out the music with the top down.

Huge highs and deep bass make this speaker a winner all around. Currently on the factory premium system but will add a 75 watt RMS 4 channel JL Audio JD400/4 Amp to get the full potential out of these speakers

I bought these for the rear doors of my wrx knowing they shouldn't have fit but only by millimeters according to Crutchfield's research. They fit my car using a factory speaker location mount I ordered from eBay. These speakers paired with the 62CF components by JBL absolutely sound amazing. I definitely recommend them.
Pros: Sound is amazing

Great Product, Amazing Clarity

2012 GMC Sierra
Installed in my 2012 Sierra 2500, fit great, pretty easy job, Crutchfield supplied all brackets, mounts, and wiring connections and instructions. Took about an hour to install in both front doors. As for sound they are extremely clear and the mids and highs are phenomenal. The lows aren't quite there but I'm not running an amp, only the 20w built into my head unit. Considering that, I wish I would have gotten the component system with amp just for volume, I'll add one later on too see what they can really do! As for just the speakers now, I am beyond pleased, would recommend this for just an upgrade over stocks, the clarity is worth the price. I mean these are crystal clear! This is my 3rd set of JBL speakers over the past 10 years in 3 different vehicles, and the quality is unmatched.
Pros: Supreme Clarity, Highs and Mids sound amazing,
Cons: Lows are kind of weak not much "thump" but the overall sound is superb

Sounds great with very easy installation. Clarity is very good in voice and instrumental parts. Wire connections on the speakers did not match wiring adapter provided. Had to replace connector ends to get to fit. Upon vehicle startup, I get a low frequency feedback until the engine warms up and smooths out.
Pros: Great sound and easy install.
Cons: Wiring connector mismatch and low frequency hum at engine startup.
