Waterproof & Dustproof Design w/ Shoulder-Strap: The JBL Xtreme 4 Bluetooth speaker features an ultra-rugged rubberized housing and a durable fabric material grille which will hold up indoors and outdoors. The Xtreme 4 is IP67 waterproof & dustproof rated which means you can take it almost anywhere; you can even submerge the Xtreme 4 in water up to 1 meter (3') for up to 30 minutes. The included shoulder strap lets you carrying it with you on a hike, to the pool, the patio, the porch, on a picnic, and more. The shoulder strap even features an integrated bottle opener for added convenience.

• The Xtreme 4 can only be submerged in water for a short period of time. If the speaker is playing and then submerged in water, it will sound muffled, as anything submerged in water would sound like. Submerging the speaker more than 1 meter and for more than 30 minutes will damage the speaker as the water will penetrate through the waterproof barriers due to pressure.
• To ensure that the JBL Xtreme 4 is waterproof, please remove all cable connections; exposing the Xtreme 4 to liquids without doing so may result in permanent damage to the speaker. Do not expose the Xtreme 4 to water while charging, as doing so may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source.

Room Filling Sound: The JBL Xtreme 4 employs digital signal processing to generate room-filling audio from a compact speaker. Using four active drivers (including two 0.75" tweeters and two 2.75" woofers), a powerful built-in amplifier, and dual 3" side-firing passive radiators, the JBL Xtreme 4 delivers room-filling, full-range JBL sound with big bass response. In AC Power mode, the built-in amplifier delivers 100 watts of total power (20 watts to each tweeter and 30 watts to each woofer); while in Battery mode, the built-in amp delivers 70 watts of total power (15 watts to each tweeter and 20 watts to each woofer).

• AI Sound Boost: AI Sound Boost analyzes the incoming audio signal in real-time while simultaneously using an AI algorithm to predict loudspeaker movement and power response. It pushes the speaker to its maximum capability, fully exploiting the dynamic range for better and more powerful sound. It also reduces distortion even at high volume, maximizing the bass output and overall loudness.
• Auracast compatible: Multi-speaker connection by Auracast lets your wirelessly pair two Xtreme 4 speakers for a wider stereo sound stage. For your biggest events, multiple Xtreme 4 speakers and other JBL Auracast compatible speakers can be connected wirelessly for even bigger, louder sound.

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The JBL Xtreme 4 is equipped with built-in Bluetooth 5.3 featuring support for wireless audio (A2DP 1.4) and control (AVRCP 1.6). You'll be able to stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer) to the JBL Xtreme 4.

• Control: You can control Play, Pause, & Skip functions from the speaker. However, you will still continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation and to view song/artist information.
• Pairing: The Xtreme 4 can pair with multiple devices, but only one device can be active and used at a time. Once paired, the JBL Xtreme 4 will automatically re-connect with the last paired device when in wireless range (up to 33').

JBL Portable App: Use the JBL Portable App (for Apple iOS or Android OS) to get the most out of the JBL Xtreme 4 and unlock more features. You'll be able to personalize and control the Xtreme 4 speaker from the JBL Portable App on your compatible smartphone or tablet device. You can fine-tune the sound with multiple EQ preset options or use a fully customizable EQ to adjust highs, mids, and lows individually. The JBL Portable App is also used to enable Stereo and Party modes. In addition, software updates for the speaker are done through he JBL Portable app.

• Stereo Mode: In Stereo Mode, you can use two JBL Xtreme 4 portable speakers for stereo playback, with one speaker acting as the left channel and the other as the right channel.
• Party Mode: In Party Mode, you can use multiple JBL Xtreme 4 speaker and Auracast-enabled JBL speakers to create a bigger sound for your party (the same audio source is played back through all JBL speakers).

USB-C Power Bank: The JBL Xtreme 4 is capable of recharging the battery of your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or table device using from the speaker's USB-C port; rated for 5V/3A, 9V/2A, or 11V/2A. Now you don't need to carry an extra charger to keep your smartphone and/or tablet powered up. The USB-C charging port is located behind a waterproof rubber cover.

Rechargeable Battery: The JBL Xtreme 4 is powered by a lithium-ion rechargeable battery that can provides up to 24 hours of playback time. The lithium-ion polymer battery is rated at 68Wh (equivalent to 7.2V/9444 mAh). The included AC power adapter can be used to recharge the battery and power the speaker. The rechargeable battery is replaceable (additional battery sold separately).

• Playtime Boost: Simply tap Playtime Boost to prolong the playtime, adding up to 6 hours to your battery life. Playtime Boost tunes and optimizes the speaker's performance for longer playing time.
• Fast Charging: The battery is easily recharged from the included AC power adapter; a full battery charge takes approximately 3.5 hours. Charging the battery for only 10 minute fast charge gives you 2 hours of playback time.
