Nice screen but junk

It's a great looking unit, too bad it doesn't work great! Apple Catplay worked fine until the return period expired. Constantly glitches goes back to Home Screen and stops playing . Factory reset helps it to work for 20 minutes and here we go again! This unit is a total piece of garbage! DO NOT BUY!!!

Great unit. You can find it a little cheaper from an online supplier b

I ended up with this receiver after trying to get a more expensive unit, Sony xav-ax8500 , to work in my application. After weeks of dialogue with crutchfield ( who are A1 in customer and tech support) The Sony unit was still skipping using Android Auto. I plug this puppy in and it works great straight out of the box. It has less features than the Sony but that it works flawlessly is a 10 in my book. I had installed and de-installed the Sony no less than 8 times. This Jensen worked flawlessly in my 2010 Toyota Tacoma straight out of the box. Not only that but the price was about 1/3 of the Sony unit. The only reason for four stars is that it does not have as many features as the Sony.

So far so good for me!

Just got one a week ago and so far so good. No complaints here as it's way better than the stock 11 year old unit that I replaced! Being able to tilt the monitor towards the driver seat is a big plus too!

Amazing Upgrade!

Installed this in my 2005 Ram 3500. Couldn't be happier! Crisp image and excellent sound output. I paired it with the Jensen backup camera also. Much needed upgrade for a 20 year old truck!

Waste of Money

Do not waste your money on this product. Slow, unintuitive UI, Constantly disconnects from Wireless Apple Carplay and it also creates a constant static/white noise. I unfortunately missed the return window for this product and am now stuck with an overpriced white noise machine. BUYERS BEWARE.

junk with a well polished shine

It's junk with a well polished shine, the display is crisp and butter smooth to slide you finger on but god help you if you want the radio to respond in a timely fashion to your taps. I have 3 major complaints with the unit and a few adjacent issues. 1) Shortly after purchasing the unit, I was having intermittent issues with the carplay registering false taps in the top right corner either triggering siri to compose a message or Waze to ask where to go (Both apps have a voice to text mic button in the top right corner). Filed a complaint with support and wasn't able to reproduce in their response time frame (go figure) 1a) The included GPS module is pretty wonky and I tried placing it different locations with different orientations ups, some time it could be as much as a mile off. Pretty unusable when you're in the heart of a big city. 2) Navigating the stereo UI is slow, particularly in the settings option. CarPlay (and Android Auto as well I'm sure) were fine. 3) The radio function of the stereo is a mess, no volume response, no noise or static, can't switch back to the FM band. Audio through my phone worked, I tried factory resetting it and nothing. I plugged in the OEM headunit and the radio played just fine, pointing to a stereo issue. End verdict, if it didn't StB after my warranty period, I'd return it in a heartbeat and not even lose sleep over the return shipping cost.

I rate this product 4.5 stars out of 5. Only because the dash kit doesn't match my interior color as you can see in the pic, but as for me that doesn't really matter to me but to some other people might matter. Other than that easy installation. Not hard to do. Stereo is massive and works as it should. If you're looking for a decent brand and quality Jensen is the way to go. I promise you on that won't regret it. I'm into audio so I give you my word.

Worst head unit ever.

If you have a single phone, no passengers who intend to use their phone, and never use the radio then this is a great bargain. Otherwise it is an undadulterated piece of junk. Every 30 seconds it tries to scan stations when using it in radio mode. If you have one android phone it will randomly fail to connect to it every few times you turn on the car. If you have two it will randomly determine which to connect to and then refuse to let you disconnect without turning of the head unit, turning off Bluetooth on the device, and turning the car back on. It randomly loses USB connection to non bluetooth devices. Avoid this turkey like the plague and you will be ha happier person. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Great price

It's been installed for a couple weeks and works great so far. Delivery was fast and all the connections were really easy. Had to file the dash kit a little bit but it really wasn't a problem.

Massive Screen

The Jensen Car1013 is a fantastic option to bring an older vehicle to a newer standard. With hands free android auto and apple car play it makes everything a seamless transition every time you turn on your car. You can easily add a back up camera and take hand free calls. The screen is also able to be moved to be driver or passenger focused. Having a volume knob is very important to me but it also works with my steering wheel controls! This is a radio for anyone with a new or older vehicle!

Great Unit for Price!

This unit was going into a 2010 Jeep JKU with a soft top that is off 60% of the time. I didn't want to spend big dollars for a system that would be easily removed while parked. Unit is awesome. Clear screen, touch screen is very reactive and tons of input options for amps and subs, cameras(2) etc. Wireless car play and android auto work great. Very happy with the unit. I did add the ready harness . Worth every penny to have the ready harness done by Crutchfield.

Glitchy

Bought this unit last summer. Everything was fine until the temperature got below 20. In cold weather it randomly glitches. I take the head off and reset it. Keeps glitching over and over until you reset it. Bought several units from here but this one is a dog. Been past the 60 day return policy so I guess I'm screwed but it only started malfunctions during cold weather.

Can't beat this head unit for the $$$'s!

Very pleased! This is a lot of head unit for the $$$'s. Huge screen, wireless carplay, 4 volt preamp outputs, etc. Most other options with the 10"+ screen were 2 - 3 times the price. Couldn't justify the extra cost for an occasionally driven truck. And, by registering with Jensen, got a 5 year warranty. Kudos to Jensen and Voxx!!!!

Impressive Quality!

My very initial review. Installation was easy... well worth the money to get the pre-assembled harness. My whole install took maybe fifteen minutes. This thing is impressive. I had the "Boss" version of this unit for a few years and it was a total POS. Had two units fail and finally when the third failed I threw it out rather than even try to replace it. This thing reeks of quality. So nice. Huge screen, very easy to read. One of the things I'm most impressed with is that the connector on the back of the display is adjustable vertically so you can position it exactly where you want it. AND it doesn't stick out super far from the dash. The Boss didn't do that; thankfully it was positioned right but it stuck out another inch and it made the interior feel cramped. So far, very pleased. Once I use it for a while, I will update this if I find anything else worth noting.

Great Modern CarPlay Stereo

This touch screen Jensen stereo just fits in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe. Its state of the art features and super clear screen are a nice tech refresh for the truck. The wireless CarPlay is very intuitive and easy to use. The radio and music clarity are top notch. This unit took less than an hour to install with Crutchfield's recommended premade wiring kit and took less than an hour to get up and running.

Sluggish but CarPlay works well

Apple CarPlay works as it should, but it's a little sluggish at times. The whole system seems sluggish, from the boot up animation to navigating the menus and a changing the radio station. The native interface is also a bit clunky and ugly. If you plan on staying within Apple CarPlay then it works just fine for that. Overall I'm happy with it for the price and I only use CarPlay so no real complaints other than the occasional sluggishness.

Total Trainwreck

I bought this unit from Crutchfield about 5 months ago; already it's faulty. Issues: 1. Constantly looses Bluetooth signal from phone when using Android Auto or Car play. 2. When you enter a town or major city, it changes from Android Auto / Car Play to a random radio channel. 3. The screen scrambles; only random colors and lines. 4. I can't answer the phone with the steering wheel. 5. If you connect your phone before the unit is on, the unit doesn't turn on. Conclusion: Total Trainwreck - DO NOT BUY!

Easy install, simple to use and very user friendly. I have noticed recently, and seems to be happening more frequently, randomly it will switch out from wireless Apple CarPlay and go back to the main screen without any input from me. I have to then hit the CarPlay button again, and goes back to CarPlay, but then randomly will switch back to the home screen. Happens frequently throughout my 25 min drive to work. Mildly irritating for such a new highly reviewed product.

Great display, Terrific Bluetooth

Great piece of gear at this price point. Well exceeded my expectations. Installation was straight forward. I also removed the factory speakers and added a pair of Kenwood KFC 1796 speakers. Sound is really nice, much better than the factory radio. We installed this in our Forest River Class C RV built on a Ford E450 chassis. The set up was straight forward, I have a Samsung Flip5 phone and the Bluetooth and Android Auto work really well together. Wiring was easy except there is a separate backup lighting wire, don't forget to connect that one to the battery. Our RV already has 3 backup camera's so we didn't install one. The phone mic and GPS antenna were easy to install and work well. Couldn't be too much happier.

Substantial Upgrade From Stock 2006 RAV4 Head Unit

Pretty decent upgrade in my 2006 RAV4 Sport. The unit is good, but could have been great. I wasn't sure how I'd like the detachable screen, but that's generally fine. I can orient the screen so that's convenient for me to easily manipulate the volume, skip, and touch screen functions. The wireless android auto works really well, it's incredibly quick to connect. I have noticed that Waze will open, but won't always load the map. Not sure what's going on there. Haven't played with it enough to determine if it's a glitch or user error. One thing that really bothers me though, is that I can't black out the screen. All my other radios have a button option that allows me to black out the screen so that I don't suffer from the glaring brightness of the illuminated monitor inches away from my face while driving at night. You can dim it a little, but not enough. I'm also surprised that I can't adjust the button illumination to match my vehicles orange illumination. Closest I can get to it is red. Not a big deal, but worth noting. It's also odd that I didn't get a users manual with the radio, I had to download one, I could have used the wiring diagram when installing the radio. I'm not an audiophile so I won't critique the radio's sound quality. It seems good to me. I made one minor tweak to the equalizer and probably won't ever touch it again. Overall I'm very happy with my new Jensen CAR1013, I just really wish they'd provided an option to black out the screen.

So Close Yet So Far

I really wanted to love it but the clunky, unpredictable user interface was maddening! Sometimes it worked great but it mostly would loose itself in The Great Beyond. Horrible tuner section. Hey Jensen fix the software glitches and the garbage am/fm tuner and this would be a killer unit even if it cost a $100 dollars more! Crutchfield did steer me to the Kenwood DMX7709S that is fantastic by comparison.

Love the big screen

Just got this installed and so far it seems very nice. Love the big display and the physical volume knob. So much better than touchscreen volume controls. The radio itself is intuitive. However, it seems like the radio will receive whenever the unit is on so I have to mute it if I just want to work through other functions in silence. Would be nice if the radio could be off while the unit is on. I already had front and rear cameras. Both plugged right in. The rear camera worked immediately with the vehicle in reverse. With the front camera on and displayed it'll switch to the rear for backing up and then back to the front when out of reverse gear. Getting the front camera display is cumbersome. It'd be nice if there were a button on the main menu to select it, or better yet its own trigger wire. The bluetooth connect to make calls was straightforward and I haven't had any issues. Android Auto is new to me. I need to spend time with it so I understand it better. Google Maps and onX pop right up. onX seems to struggle with the display, but again, it might be me since I'm new to it. I have another mapping app that doesn't display at all and is not listed as available. The installation went well. I opted for the "ReadyHarness" and it was well worth it. Having those connections already done saved so much installation time, and the harness is professionally assembled. The instructions were very accurate so there were no surprises.

Will never buy Jensen again...

Absolute garbage! Shuts down and reboots constantly. Did the firmware update and it still does the same thing. As soon as a call comes in, the stereo shuts down and leaves your call in limbo while it reboots. You can answer it on your phone, but it is still connected to the blue tooth on the stereo, and will not disconnect from it. Thus you end up losing your calls.

works good like my car 1000...for those who have buggy usb connection my past experience has been the usb c phone jack is worn ...you can sometimes try new quality cord or new phone or if your real handy you can order a new usb c port card and replace your old one... I've done this 3 or 4 times on Samsung phones works well if you can do it

Buggy

This radio does not seem to connect to any Android Auto via USB, and even when connected to either Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, I keep seeing regular disconnects that really kill the vibe. It does not feel great to have a premium stereo that feels janky and bad quality. It looks great, and when it works it's great, but the sound will drop out multiple times through short car rides and can be extremely frustrating. Also this gain wall of text as the opening screen is less than ideal. Lastly, I have a front and rear camera for parking, and unfortunately it's like 5 button clicks to see either camera, and they won't display at the same time which is really needed for front / back cameras. The unit is apparently not upgradable so I don't believe I can even modify or upgrade the software to fix these issues. I recommend spending more money to not deal with these issues.

Bright Screen with drops

Its been installed for 2 weeks. The Display is big and bright. The ability to swivel the display left to right and up and down is very helpful. In addition I can move the screen vertically up and down a few inches so its easy to clear the A/C vents. The unit takes about 30 seconds or so to start up and connect to phone. The equalizer is easy to access, and the Radio works well. It has dropped the bluetooth connection twice when phone was in my pocket. Perhaps I( my body) is denser than I thought ;-). My phone itself typically has a strong bluetooth signal , as evidenced by it can be in our brick house and I can be 30-50 feet away using my headphones outside mowing the grass w/o drops. I would give the radio a 3.5 but that is not an option, I may update the score at a later date.

Great for the price

Works as expected and the big screen is great. It's in a ~15 year old car so it makes it feel much newer and more enjoyable to drive. Wireless CarPlay is working great so far and we can select from 3 different potential drivers. Since we primarily use CarPlay, it's what you would expect once you connect. There are some slight minuses but nothing really troubling. The UI is a bit clunky. When you start the car and dismiss the safety warning and select CarPlay, you have to tap a button to "pair" a phone to pull up the list of phones. It works, but the phones are already "paired" so "connect" would be better verbiage. The home screen prioritizes radio which takes up a weirdly large amount of screen space. The menus are a little cheap looking and not always super intuitive.

Nice screen and works as expected

I just installed the CAR1013 into an 88 Monte Carlo. I like how the screen attaches without any screws. It fits nicely and the height adjustment leaves room for me to reach the HVAC controls. The touchscreen is responsive, menus are a little sluggish. The internal amplifiers are seemingly weak. I do plan on installing external amplifiers in the future. In the 2 days I've used it Wireless Android Auto has worked pretty well. I like that it automatically turns Android Auto on. The GPS takes around 30 seconds to start working, but that's the same for my much more expensive Kenwood.

It's Ok, just don't expect too much

Even though the stereo fits my car as advertised the stereo is not compatible with my car's rear camera. I contacted the Hyundai Service Center and they said, it's a common problem with no solution. When I connect my phone to the stereo to use Google Maps, the stereo keeps disconnecting from my phone and I lose my Google Maps. In other words, I can't use Apple Car Play.

Huge Screen - Looks Great!

Love it! Installed in my 2008 Sienna. The Metra 99-8208 Dash Kit worked great too. So nice to have a big screen, plus is closer to the driver so it's easier to access. Wireless Carplay is nice too.

Great multimedia receiver

This is my first Jensen multimedia receiver and the display is a great fit on a bigger dashboard like the one in my GMC Sierra: It covers neither vents nor climate control knobs. The receiver comes with a 5yr warranty after registering and this is probably an indication that Jensen has confidence in their build quality. Crutchfield's instructions, dash kit and wiring interface were a perfect fit and simplified the installation a lot. The recent firmware update fixed a lot of issues and as long as updates are coming, everything will be fine. Granted, the firmware of modern receivers consists of thousands of code lines and I guess that units of all manufacturers are plagued by bugs. This receiver drives a set of Memphis and Sound Ordnance P-67B (Crutchfield's housebrand) speakers and the sound is great. Apple CarPlay works great as well. The rear camera output displays quick after putting the car in reverse (after it has been started) and it doesn't take the entire boot time of the unit. Unfortunately the receiver reboots when it is battery and the car will be started (car battery is brandnew and none of the previous radios did this) and I guess that this is a hardware design issue on Jensens' side. Overall this receiver is a great value for the money and I enjoy the large 10" display.

Big and bright, but V1

Display is very large bright! Touchscreen is not the most responsive, but is adequate. Minimum brightness is also high - night mode at minimum brightness and cranked contrast to get more black and still too bright. Adjustability is awesome, up/down and tilt. Overall is pretty stable for how much it sticks out, but if you press on the corner of the screen for a button, the whole thing does tilt a little. The screen detaches by pressing two buttons behind it. Slow to boot, but rearview camera does override almost immediately so that is great. Buttons are pretty cheap haptics, but they work. Having to long Hold the Home button is annoying when I want to check the Radio, as I often instead go to Source mode, switching the screen to black A/V (which is not even plugged in!). Dangerous while driving. Volume knob is good. The next/previous buttons work for AA/carplay, but on the radio they are +0.2Mhz buttons, and if held become Seek, not Next Preset. It is 1DIN with an adapter, so check your car's package if best to put in the bottom or top DIN slot. The Jensen software is pretty bad, with poor text formatting. The stock wallpaper makes text hard to read. The settings menu can scroll for more settings but there is no indication of it. Wireless android auto was the reason I bought this but it was unsable. Crashed every 5 seconds to 15 minutes, hard resetting the head unit, making it a serious safety hazard while driving. No firmware updates. I returned

Good unit but wireless doesn't always work

I have bought Jensen products for a few decades now as I know you get some of the latest features and good sound from their products. The CAR1013 gives you a huge touchscreen, various inputs, audio adjustments, android auto and carplay, front and camera inputs. Everything works well with the exception of wireless android auto/carplay, at times I'll get in my car and everything connects perfectly and android auto works flawlessly but then other times while phone will connect, as unit shows Bluetooth connected, android auto won't work unless connected via wire. Crashing, Freezing, and now I'm out good money

Freezes and skips constantly when using Android Auto, maps are slow, other apps are even slower, I feel like this tech is probably from 2008, at least that's what it feels like. I've verified with multiple mobile devices, tried changing settings, nothing works. IF you are looking for a receiver that actually works, I'd avoid this one, I wish I could return, but it looks like I missed the return window by a day, I've always purchased through Crutchfield, but this might be the last time if they don't make this right.

When it works, it works great. When it doesn't, it's the worst product I've purchased in the car audio realm. Pros: touch screen is great and stable on dirt roads. Outputs sound strong and clear. Stylistically it fits almost perfectly and modernizes my truck more than most mods would. Cons: Apple CarPlay cuts out regularly, when connected wireless AND wired. In the first month when it was cold outside it only happened on long drives (which I make often). Now that I've had it for a few months I can't go more than a mile or two without it cutting out at least once. Screen freezes on google maps, Waze, Apple Maps all the same. I have to turn it off and turn it back on while driving. When CarPlay crashes it'll disconnect my phone, and 1/5 times my phone won't pair again automatically, and I have to fumble with the pairing process while driving to resume using it. It's substantially worse when it's hot out. It's absolutely infuriating. And only getting worse somehow. Im confident that it's properly installed, and this is just a bad and unreliable product. I should've listened to my gut and returned it within the 2 month window.

Great for motorhome

Installed in our 2007 E450 BT Cruiser Motorhome - replacing the previous Jensen unit. Fit was perfect. Install was plug and play with included free wiring adapters from Crutchfield. Night and day difference - we also paired with new speakers in the front doors and rear cabin.

Drops android auto connection

Radio drops android auto connection to my phone approximately every 15 to 20 minutes. Happens when connected wireless or direct USB connection. Very annoying

Very solid option for a Radio!

Slight issue installing but it was on me for not reading the instructions properly. Display is crisp, bright, and big. Only issue I have so far is wireless android auto periodically disconnects. Not too big of a nuisance since it reconnects seconds later but it may be annoying to some. I did the Crutchfield harness pre-connection. I believe the issue is the radio software and phone wifi/Bluetooth connection

Hello! I decided to write a review after all. I've been using this Jensen CAR1013 for almost 2 weeks, but I'm rather not using it. You could say it doesn't work. Only worked for 3 days. I was happy, but no. It all started literally when I was driving on the highway. After literally 20 minutes the screen died. Turned black. The buttons light up. And in the rain on the highway I had to urgently set up GPS on my phone. Finally, I arrived. Turned off the car, then started it again. Earned it. Turned off again on the highway. History repeated itself. Since then it started turning off every day every 15 or 20 minutes. As they say, the miser pays twice. No, in my case three times. The first time was when I bought this device. The second was when I paid the technician for the installation. For the third time I will pay to have this device removed and my old one installed. Here's the story. All the best!

I love the look and adjustability of the screen on this unit. Upgrading from the stock 4.3" screen to this 10" interactive panel is amazing! I do not notice any longer than expected boot time either. No need to hesitate if you are considering this unit.

Pretty decent unit. Have a 2011 Kia Sorento and the unit was going out so replaced it with this. Really enjoy using Android Auto and I like the big 10.1 inches screen. Noticed a few delays using wireless Android Auto but nothing that is a showstopper. Very happy with purchase.

Installation is straightforward. I'll be using this almost exclusively for Android Auto, so the antiquated feel of the interface doesn't matter too much to me. The DIN bracket was slightly difficult to get to fit snugly by bending the tabs. Screen is huge and looks great from all angles. I like being able to swivel the screen. The physical buttons appear to be quality and the physical volume button is awesome.

Totally Wicked

I bought this as a gift and when I installed it with the instructions enclosed I was amazed at how beautiful the screen was. I put it in an 02 Corolla and the recipient was especially appreciative of the gift. Loving the upgrade, they especially loved the wireless Apple CarPlay feature.

Close, but not perfect

For the price, you're really getting a lot of functionality, even with the couple of little quirks. If you have AA hooked up and navigate to the home page to tweak settings, it times out pretty quickly and goes back to AA without prompting. Its pretty responsive and doesn't have much lag at all, which was my main concern from the previous generation's reviews. The screen quality is OK, but I expected the colors to be a little more true and the blacks to be less grey (I may be biased here since I'm comparing it to my Audi's screen). I'd also expect a little less blockiness to images for the supposed resolution. It's far from unusable, but some more refinement could have gone into the screen itself. Audio quality is pretty good straight out of the HU, but I haven't tried it out with an amp yet to check the low level outputs yet. I do really like that the screen height/tilt is adjustable on the fly, but time will tell if the screen gets wobbly going down the road. Right now its a pretty deliberate action to adjust it, and it doesn't seem to have wobble any more than one would expect. Oh and the screen is massive so it makes looking at maps a breeze

The radio is great, really works well with apple. So much better than what was in the vehicle before. Perfect fit looks like it was OEM. Adapters and fill plate made it a pleasure to install. I did not have to splice a single wire, truly plug and play. Great job Crutchfield. The only place to upgrade your cars electronics.

Really pleased with this.

Solid for the price. I would have liked a faster processor. It's way too big for my car, and I'm extremely pleased. I haven't tested video playback, but the Android Auto wireless works well. The 15° angle tilt is sweet, and the screen is glossy and beautiful. It is bright enough to work well in this Phoenix AZ sun.

Great head unit installed and fit perfectly in my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. There were some integration issues inherent to Chevy's wiring harness but that is no fault of the product. Very satisfied with the product and the 10" makes navigation a breeze.

GX470 Upgrade

Radio is a phenomenal and major upgrade from the stock radio on my GX470. My only gripe is for the Crutchfield installation instructions, I have installed many radios from y'all by paying for the instructions, pre wired harnesses, etc... this was one of the worst ones ever, and I ended up taking it into to a professional shop halfway through as the instructions provided from Crutchfield led to dead ends and missing steps. What a mess on that end and not thrilled about that at all.

Surprised by Jensen

I was replacing a Boss Audio double din system I put in my truck about 4 years ago. I wanted something affordable because my kids primarily drive the truck. I also wanted wireless car play and android auto and compatibility with the back-up camera I installed previously, features I knew would add cost. I initially looked at low-end Kenwood and JVC units, but the surprisingly good ratings on this unit caught my eye. I installed the unit 3 days ago and so far I am pleased with my choice. Installation was under 2 hours start to finish, and that includes the time wiring the harness to the factory stereo connection. Everything worked as it should the very first time. Even the steering wheel controls module, microphone, and back-up camera I installed previously work perfectly.

This was a huge upgrade to my truck.

This is for a 2006 Toyota Tundra. I upgraded from a JVC KW-M855BW that I originally bought so I could have Wireless Android Auto and backup camera in my older truck. The JVC was really the only cost effective option in 2020, and actually worked well for everything I needed, except it was really hard to see during the day, since I have a lighter colored tan interior. So I wanted a floating screen that I could angle toward my driving position to eliminate glare. This Jensen ticks most of the boxes that I wanted. The screen can be angled almost directly toward me, and it also adjusts up and down vertically. It has wireless AA and Car Play. And it has 2 camera inputs which is great when parallel parking. So far the sound has been better than my JVC, but this time I used a bypass harness to eliminate the factory amp, rather than the Axxess TYTO-01 Wiring Interface I used before. That, and bass blockers make the factory JBL speakers sound really good. Installation was easy because of the Crutchfield instructions. But since I had done this before, I labeled all the wires when I removed the JVC and it was just a matter of matching wires. The Metra dash kit worked ok, but because this receiver has 15 degrees of horizontal tilt, I had to space the receiver out from the dash approximately 1/2" so that the screen cleared the dash. I was able to modify it so it still looks good, but something to be aware of, since there is no built in adjustment for this as far as I know.

This is a great head unit at a good price. The android auto/carplay connects very quickly. The screen is big and processing time is good. If your going to get this unit, get it from Crutchfield. With my purchase I got the dash mounting kit and wire harness. And for an extra fee they will splice all wires for you so it will be a quick and easy install.

Install was easy. Started right up out of the box. A couple of issues. 1. Conversion kit for the actual mounting provided no way to secure the unit in the adapter. I had to improvise. 2. There are some issues with Android Auto running specific aps, but that is probably an Android Auto problem.

Great screen, function and simplicity and Price!

I'm pleasantly pleased with this receiver. I was hesitant to purchase a budget brand, but for the price, function and options, I couldn't pass up trying it. I was going back and forth between a Kenwood model that was on sale, but was still three times the price. It's performed flawlessly since install. CarPlay connects right up without error. The adjustability of the screen height and angle is great. Makes it easy to get a good angle for viewing and limit glare. Also provides a great screen for backup camera. Menus are easy to maneuver and fairly intuitive. No issues with the sound quality. I've always had Kenwoods or Pioneer decks, but decide for the price, I'd take the "risk". Thus far it's been a home run. Time will tell how reliable it is. I replaced a pioneer deck that started being glitchy, especially connecting to an IPhone. This was installed in a 2011 Toyota RAV4. In the RAV4, at the lowest adjustment setting it still partially blocks the middle air vents, but only slightly.

Excellent product, easy install

We got this for my son's Toyota FJ Cruiser and we couldn't be happier. First, the shipment arrived well-packaged and quickly. It included the Jensen, the pre-wired/soldered harness service (worth every single penny - incredible value and highly recommended) and the Metra din kit. The install instructions were emailed to me after purchase and are clear and excellent. The finished product is really nice! The Jensen has fantastic sound and it partially rotates as it is mounted to the main radio/CPU. You can simply pull the monitor out and store it anytime you need to (think like a removable faceplate but bigger). The colors on the screen are rich and the sound is excellent. My son is very happy. If you have any experience working on vehicle electronics, this will be a breeze. We finished the entire project in under 2 hours (including interruptions). I have been using Crutchfield for many years and I've installed several car stereos. I won't go through any other vendor but Crutchfield.

good but also bad

GPS goes crazy inaccurate, back up camera is backwards, phone microphone doesn't work unless you yell, subwoofer connection didn't work, blue tooth looses connection, screen randomly (very seldom) goes blank, screen is crazy big and sweet, phone mirroring didn't work for some reason super sad about that one, I'm sure tech support would have helped but there were just too many deal breakers.

GMC 1500 Sierra Jenson CAR1013

Great product - One or two things. Remove the unassessable plastic "box tray" (See photos) that comes with the kit for a GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab, and provide a cover plate instead, as then there is room for the wiring. You can only use the 2nd expanded extension for this Jensen CAR1013 on a 1500 GMC truck; otherwise, you won't get the dashboard back in place. It's a tough job as it is. It is a tight fit. The harnesses were the best. Get them made up for you! My Bose now works perfectly.
