I wanted speakers to replace my original speakers. Crutchfield's website made it easy. They were on sale and the phone-in customer service was exceptional. LOL. The Crutchfield speaker installation instructions showed the proper way to undo the door lock rod clip better than any How-to video I watched or auto repair manual I read. Big Thanks.

Rome was built quicker.

Speakers are pretty good for the money. This is my third horrible experience with Crutchfield, when ordering they advertised two day shipping to my location. Ordered on the 18th didn't receive until the 25th. Yes, I understand Crutchfield can't control the performance of a shipping company. Maybe they switch to a more reliable one! Also not advertise 2 day shipping. Pretty sure this will be my last transaction with this company.

Toyota Echo 2003

Toyota Echo 2003 upgrade from old factory speakers. Nice clear sound, not the best of the market, but for a 20+ years car, is a great choice. Speakers included speaker cables and Crutchfield provided cables for free too.

Direct replacements for our Honda Stepwgn

We bought 2 pairs of these Kenwood speakers to replace the original 6 1/2" dual-cone units in our 1998 Honda Stepwgn minivan, and combined with the Metra 72-7800 Speaker Wiring Harness adapters it was absolutely a 'plug-and-play' job. The speakers are pre-drilled for mounting using multiple methods, including the 3-hole system in our Honda. Thanks again Crutchfield for making installation so easy!

Speakers are not an exact fit for the doors in my car; none of the holes line up with the holes in the plastic enclosure within the door.

meh, I don't know why I expected more

While they are marginally better than stock they didn't perform as well as I had hoped. There really is no low end on these at all. Not that a speaker this size can drive down low much but it misses badly on the low end.

Not impressed

Not impressed in the least with these speakers. Only about a third the size of the OEM speakers in my GMC. Only thing I can say is they don't buzz and rattle like the blown out oems. Sound quality is very poor guess you only get what you pay for anymore. Would look for something better to do over again

These are a great upgrade to the factory speakers. I read some said it would not do heavy bass but these are not designed for loud thumping music. If you want a speaker made for heavy bass you need to have a higher speaker budget because this is not it. But, if you want a nice clear sounding speaker for factory replacement it is perfect price and quality.

2004 Suburban LT w/ Bose

Mid, truly. And reflected in the price. Had I been replacing a non bose system I may have been more impressed. The sound is good, not great but good. The highs are crisp, they have minor sound distortion and the mids hold too much reverb which mixes the bass creating a cool subwoofer sound but that inturn distorts the highs. I would put my bose back had I not destroyed them.

An improvement over stock

I noticed an improvement in the quality/clarity of the sound and the higher end range is good. I did notice a loss of low end range though compared to the stock speakers.

Nice Replacement to Stock Speakers at a Great Price

Had to replace the driver's side front speaker on my newly acquired 2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk. The price was so good, I got another pair of Kenwoods to replace the passenger speakers too. Adapters that were recommended by Crutchfield not only fit, but made installation quite easy. As for the speakers, I noticed a slight increase in clarity and detail in the mids and highs but lost some bottom end when compared to the stock speakers. I will be adding an amp and a compact subwoofer to fit under the driver's seat that will provide the bottom end I need. If you're only relying on the speakers themselves without an amp and sub-woofer, you may or may not notice the lacking of some bass. Bang for the buck, this is a great value and solid upgrade from the stock speakers.

Much better than expected.

These are not top of the line, I know, but the OEM speakers were rattling and driving me crazy. I couldn't understand callers when I tried to talk on the phone. Crutchfield made it so easy to install these new speakers. They included the right wires and the perfect mounting plate. We got them switched out in no time. I'm no audiophile, but these speakers sound great! I feel like I got way more than I paid for.

Great Sound, Great Cost, Easy to Install

They sound much better than the OEM speakers. Unbelievably easy to install, thanks in part to the included instructions. I love that Crutchfield also had the speaker wire adapter pop right up before adding to cart. That was some real ease of mind. Took just under an hour to do both fronts. I would highly recommend.

ECSTATIC!!!

For one thing....shipping was FAST....amazingly so! From the time I placed my order, to the time it arrived at my front door, was LESS than a DAY! As for the speakers.....so far I LOVE them! They still need about 25 more hours of "break-in" time, so I can't begin to imagine how much better they're going to sound once they're properly broken in! And I truly appreciate the wiring harnesses being added as a freebie.....sealed the deal for me! :) And Liam was a real pleasure to deal with....super nice, and extremely knowledgeable! Thanks, Crutchfield....here's to another half-century! :)

Nice speakers but I had hoped for better sound. I have replaced factory speakers with aftermarket before on other vehicles with good results, not in this case. Issue with the factory Toyota head unit I assume.

Perfect fit and sound.

Once again, the folks at Crutchfield did a great job. I picked a scratch/dent version because the speakers are in the door and you can't see them. They fit perfectly. And, I didn't find any scratches/dents. Any rate, the sound delivered is wonderful! Thank you!

These speakers are not only worse than the stock speakers in my 2015 Transit Connect, they're worse than the speakers in my 2014 Subaru Forester, my 2013 Mazda 3 and my 2003 Honda Accord. I can't remember a car I had where the stock speakers were worse than these. I really don't understand why these are even made. Crutchfield rules though. No problems with them, ever!

Mud Busters

Like everyone else, I replaced my factory speakers in my 2012 RAV. They were so muddy and I couldn't take it anymore. These speakers sounds sooooo much clearer and better. Big difference. And I'm running them off an aftermarket head unit with ~20 w RMS. It's perfect to get this much sound improvement from such an affordable price. For my RAV4 to replace all 4 woofers with these, it took me an hour per door for the install (removing all the entire interior door panels + drilling out the rivets + testing each speaker once installed). But then it was maybe 20 min to put the car back together total.

I purchased two sets of these Kenwood speakers for my 2012 Subaru Impreza sedan. The original speakers of the Impreza are truly garbage. I didn't want it anything pro. I just needed some decent basic speakers. I've had good experience in the past with Kenwood products. The rear doors you'll have to drill holes in order to install them. The front one, with the adapter bracket they are super easy to install. The sound is truly clear and powerful enough for my listening needs. I couldn't believe the amazing change a new set of speakers can do to an older car. I'm very happy with my purchase in these speakers are affordable and excellent quality.

Great Value Fast Shipping SOLID Sound!

Recently purchased and installed the KFC-1666S (set of 2) into my front doors on my 2001 Tahoe (non-Bose) and I absolutely love them! I used the harness provided and had to fiddle with it a bit after it cut out once, it's only been a few days but they sound incredible considering one of my stock speakers was dead (pictured) and the other was just an old original. Thinking about getting a 2nd set for the rear doors since only one side works.. Crutchfield was great and delivered within 2-3 days!

great sound

perfect replacement for my tired 22 year old factory speakers. installed on my 03 accord sedan front doors and rear deck . sound is very good. I'm using a Sony receiver with no extra amps, just quality a receiver and quality speakers. I enjoy my music while driving and these fit my needs, great sound and easy on the billfold.

Much improved over factory dual cones.

When rating something one has to think of the application, and price point. At $39 these are damn good! They are definitely on the bright side though. They do great with factory head units with low power output. They get well over safe listening volumes. Bass is good, but doesn't go as low as factory, as tends to be the case. About 65hz and it rolls off. At volume they can sound small, as the bass comes on at mid to higher volumes. for a basic factory upgrade, and a need for high sensitivity. Especially for the price these do great! In one of the photos I show that I used flex seal between the adapter and the door

Alarm clock sound quality

I'm surprised with the 4.5 star rating for these speakers. The sound is thin, the bass is non-existent, and the highs are flattened. The easiest description I can make for the Kenwood KFC-1666S is that it sounds like an alarm clock speaker. Don't waste your time. I'm returning my set. Truly you get what you pay for. Crutchfield's raving review detracts from their credibility.

The sound is great. The bolt holes are a little short of where the factory ones hit so you will need sort washer to catch the metal lip on the speaker.

Perfect fit and good sound

Just installed in my Hyundai Veloster. The included mounting bracket, wiring harness and instructions all worked very well. I found the cone dust cover loose on the factory speakers loose causing the rattle. Finger nail polish or silicone could have fixed it but these speakers sound better.

Not good

Not good on service. Speakers not installed yet, wire harness not sent with speakers. Somebody there forgot to ship it with speakers. This is only second order from this company. Now will take 5 days to receive harness. Customer not happy about delayed install. I wanted to like this company but maybe my old supplier should get my business.
