Kenwood's KFC-P510PS 5-1/4" component system provides a rich, dynamic sound reinforced by a solid low end. This polypropylene woofer cone sports a Diamond Array pattern that increases surface strength for reduced distortion and improved bass response. A rubber surround provides reliable playback in spite of the prolonged exposure to the elements that life in your car doors brings.

A 1" soft dome tweeter rounds out this strong system, providing high-frequency details with accuracy. And Kenwood makes things a little easier by incorporating an in-line crossover network into each tweeter — no need to find a spot for a bulky crossover module.

Installation note: You'll need a pair of our universal backstraps to install the tweeters in the factory locations.

Features

Woofers: The 5-1/4" woofer cones are textured Polypropylene and use rubber surrounds for added durability and bass response. The woofer basket is designed to fit a standard 4-hole 5-1/4" application.

Soft Dome Tweeters: The 1" soft dome tweeters offer smooth highs and low distortion.

Tweeter Mounting Options: The tweeters can be flush mounted using the supplied housings and metal retaining-clips. Once installed the tweeters can pivot in the housing, so their angles can be adjusted to obtain a better soundstage. The tweeters can also be top or bottom mounted in a factory tweeter location using the included brackets. The tweeters cannot pivot when installed in the OEM brackets. Once mounted in the appropriate housing, the tweeters have these dimensions:

Crossover Network: The low-pass crossovers are wired to the terminals and attached to the woofer baskets; the high-pass crossovers are integrated in the included 30" tweeter wires. The crossover point is 4.6 kHz.

I have an 09 ford crown Victoria police car with the Kenwood single DIN radio and I am putting Kenwood performance components speakers in the front door and Kenwood performance 6 x 8 speakers in the back my question is do I need a amplifier for this setup ?

Depends on the power rating of the speakers the you're installing. I used a 4 channel amp to push my new speakers a little harder. Just check the power rating of the speakers and the Watts per channel of the amp. The amp should be equal to or greater than the speakers' ratings.

I have a 2004 Tacoma double cab. Am I supposed to add the tweeters in the rear door as well as the front? Or just the component system in the front and no tweeters in the rear?

It is your preference, being the tweeters generate the "high" sounds, having them in the front is going to be your best bet. If you have two sets of highs/mids(4 speakers) you could add them to the rear as well. Personally, I would start in the front and work my way back. I always set up my vehicles so the sound works best for me. I have had set-ups in past vehicles, where I've bypassed rear doors, or back decks. Again, it's your preference. Only the front. In that cab space the ones in the back will do nothing. Mine sound so good in my 2004 Honda Element. I added only a 6" midrange in the back doors. Great help from the people at Crutchfield too.

The speakers replace the factory front and rear door speakers. You need to drill additional holes to add the tweeters, but the addition of the tweeters make a huge difference. Crutchfield provides all the hardware you need and the instructions they provided made the installation very easy. I am very happy with these speakers and it made a huge difference in my 4runner.

You could also use the components to add a set of tweeters to a vehicle that does not already have tweeters, by surface mounting or modifying a location in your vehicle to mount them. How well will the KFC-P510PS work powered from the NDX573S Reciver?
