Good low end for such a small box.Fit under the passenger seat of a Porsche 987 with the seat height raised one click.

Pros: Smooths out low end, remote does a good job of adjusting

Cons: None

This is obviously not an earth shattering subwoofer, but it does a great job filling in the bass in a stock system. Pick your mounting location first as that will determine the signal cabling you run. It will take either line level RCA input or speaker level input. I chose RCA because my head unit has a separate subwoofer output with level and cutoff controls. That thick RCA cable proved to be difficult to pull under the carpet, but I got it done. You will have to provide your own male to male RCA extension cable. If you are going for a trunk mount, you are probably going to use the speaker level inputs. They provide the cable for that, but it goes into the same RCA inputs for the amp. That is kind of a cheater way to get the signal into the amp which relies on the high input impedance at the RCA connector, but I'm sure it works fine. It is also supposed to cut the amp on and off based upon whether or not it sees a signal which makes it unnecessary to run the blue/white external amp control line from the head unit. One thing I wonder about is what would happen if you lost or didn't connect the remote. I may try that.

My first sub in a vehicle. I built a stereo system for my commuter 2008 Corolla. I lacked a fuller sound, so I bought the Kenwood subwoofer. Classic music is great to the thump thump of modern rock. I am happy. Installation was straight forward. I enjoy the remote which allows me to turn up the sub when the wife leaves the car.

Absolutely fantastic. I cannot believe the bass this little thing puts out. A very worthy upgrade over the previous model also by Kenwood. My little Fiero has some great sound now!
